I was very excited to try the coffee. I opened the bag which had a strange smell to it and once I had ground my beans and made a coffee it didn’t taste fresh and left a very bitter and unusual taste in my mouth. It may just be this type of coffee but I will be reluctant to buy again.

great service and great advice. Tried 4 different coffees 3 of which Brown Bear recommended to me for the way i am going to drink them all of which have lived up to my expectations. The only down side is i am now drinking more coffee so i can then try some different ones

I love the Brown Bear Columbian beans, the coffee is rich with chocolate smoothness and feels like a luxurious treat. my order always arrives in a timely fashion and the beans are consistently great .

I came to try Brown Bear as I had seen they had got positive reviews in GQ and Vogue magazine.

My order was sent to the invoice address rather than the delivery address.
They handled the error professionally and another kilo bag was sent out Express for the following day, what a nice surprise :-)

I can highly recommend Mambo Italiano for Latte drinkers, I use the whole beans in a Jura bean to cup machine. The coffee is strong enough to cut through the milk and has a slightly chocolatey aftertaste, yum yum !

just to say that I have just bought a coffee machine and it's my first time using coffee beans, so as I was browsing on the internet and your advert on coffee beans came up, I bought my first coffee beans from you ,tried morning coffee, liked the taste , so put an order in to try other one's, so as I am new at this and have not tasted the other one's as yet ,then I might be better at saying which coffee I like,

Brilliant coffee, and great value compared to all other mail order coffee companies. I used the suncription service which offers a little discount and great flexibility.

Husband bought me a coffee machine for Christmas, he's not mean, it was a personal present as there is only me that drinks coffee. Tried coffee from super-markets - no good. Tried two other on-line companies wasn't quite what I was wanting. Then I found BROWN BEAR. Just received my second order - ordered it late Saturday afternoon - arrived 10:10 Monday morning. Now you can't beat that for service. Mambo Italiano is a great blend - really full of flavour and quite strong - which I like. Have also ordered NEW LATIN this time - haven't tried it yet but I just know I will not be disappointed - TRY IT FOR YOURSELF - YOU WILL LOVE IT

We tried various different online coffee shops to buy our beans from, and after we found brown bear with their loyalty scheme and amazing coffee we instantly stopped ordering from the others! We religiously by cub espresso in the 1kg bags as it's just wonderful. Great customer service too and speedy responses.

I have never tasted a coffee as good as their breakfast blend and now unfortunately every coffee I have is compared and fails... simply fantastic coffee

Makes a really nice cup of coffee at any time of the day. Lovely mellow taste. I will be ordering this coffee bean on a regular basis.

Delivery was quick, nicely packed, no problems at all.
I subtract one star for lack of roast date and one for flavour. I have tested 'BROWN BEAR COFFEE SELECTION' and I found all of the coffees to have a tobacco/ashy flavour. It was not listed in taste notes so I guess there may have been a problem with roasting. Both me and my wife could also smell tobacco aroma from beans.

Judging by other reviews it may have been just a single incident.

I drink only espresso, rocket evo II, mazzer mini E (single dosed), 202F, 1:2 ratio, 15-20g coffee, 25-30s extraction, naked portafilter.

Each of the four coffees we've bought from Brown Bear have been absolutely brilliant. Their Aeropress offer is well worth buying, and the coffee is lovely with the Aeropress.

Outstanding coffee, highly recommended.
