Terrible customer service experience
Terrible customer service experience. Knives are great but service after point of sale is reason enough to avoid.

Terrible customer service experience. Knives are great but service after point of sale is reason enough to avoid.
Great knives but their customer service SUCKS!! Don' waste your time emailing them, they are to busy playing on their phones than to be concerned to reply to customers questions. Worst customer service...PEROID!! Good thing their knives are excellent because their customer service is way below adverage and TOTALLY SUCKS!! JUST SAYIN...
Colis incomplet, service client médiocre très déçu
I just started getting into knives again. Bought a few China made buck tins at big 5. Gave them for presents, at Christmas. Kept one my self. Pretty nice the trio and the single blade slip joints. Then I bought a Wal mart 110 with ebony, 420 hc steel, it was awesome, made in the USA up the road from me, in Post falls Idaho, real sharp. It had some tool marks on the lock end but the ebony wood and lockup was great. So, I splurged and bought 2 drop point nickel silver 110s in S30 v. From the factory web page. Gave one to my son. Some tool marks in the same spot, a few scratches, but the lock ups were nice. I liked mine a lot, so I bought another with a clip point. It had a little more scratches and tool marks, but, still, tight. So the buck of the month came up. 110 S35vn, would be my coolest steel yet. January 2025 edition, I'm getting into steel now. Nothing else to do in retirement. It wiggled, their pro series knife. Pretty bad. I'm moving on from buck Knives now. Pretty disappointed. Maybe I acted rash, but I fired them, told them in an e-mail and said I was moving on from the buck knife mantra. I'm not sure what company to try next. It will be a hunting knife in S35vn a folder. Thanks buck I'm learning about the knife business. Don't worry about fixing my Buck of the month. It's 1 of 750.
They advertised a very nice folding knife (Spitfire 722) over tiktok.
I was really excited only to find out it was impossible to get.
They have a configuration, so they could technically do it, but only tell people to go in store.
There's no store where I live and who drives to pick a knife these days..
Really deceived
Buck knives has the worst customer service ever! They just don’t care! they lost a f$&&ing customer!!!! I hope you’re reading this buck admin, be ashamed
Two extracts from recent emails to Buck Knives:
June 2024:
"Please find enclosed my Buck 110 folding hunter knife which I return for repair or replacement after it developed a fault. As you can see, the knife no longer closes properly and doesn’t always stay locked properly in the open position. So it’s no longer safe to use."
August 2024:
"I'd like to have my knife back, please.
It sent to you for a warranty repair over 9 WEEKS AGO.
You acknowledge that it arrived, that you would repair it under warranty and that you would return it.
But nothing's arrived.
I sent you a reminder a week ago but you ignored it."
. . . and still no knife & no response.
Sad :-(
Some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They send back warranty services without doing a thing to them, they lose knives and have to remake them, they take over 13 weeks or even longer for turnaround time when they advertise 6-8 weeks. How much worse can you get at customer service than Buck?
My new Buck 110 auto had a problem with the firing button that could be engaged only after pressing it 2-3 times. The warranty service was done very well and now the knife functions perfectly well. They even waived the regular small spa treatment fee. Excellent service!
I broke the blade of my Buck personal, and sent it for replacement. Because the model was discontinued, they send me the knife of the moth as a replacement. I thought it was a mistake, but they explained what happened and also send me another knife that was as close to the one I broke as they could make, and let me keep the first one as well. Twice life long guarantee!!
Several years ago my son gifted me a Buck 110 Folding Hunting knife which I find quite handy while gardening. I broke the blade while trying to hammer the blade through a sword fern root. When I visited Buck's website I discovered I could get my blade replaced for $10 with a 10-12 week turn around. I was skeptical but followed their instructions for shipping and waited. Sure enough and true to their word I received my knife back after eleven weeks, repaired, razor sharp and polished to new condition. I couldn't be more pleased!
Don't bother with them . They will loose your knife and then claim they never received it. If they even reply to your emails . Lousy service
I recently bought a USA made, three-blade, Buck 303 Cadet. I am sincerely disappointed. The top of the main blade is roughly finished, the springs are uneven and quite rough, the spring tension is soft, the sheepsfoot blade is rounded at the tip, the rosewood slabs have four pronounced flat spots by the bolsters on each side left from mating them to the bolsters and then left unrounded, the bottoms of the springs rust and pit from just being in my pocket, and the overall finish is not that good.
I'm sure that it would have taken a qualified Buck employee all of about five minutes or so to bring this 303 up to snuff. Except for the easily rusted steel. As it was, I spent a couple of hours tinkering, polishing, and repolishing this rust-prone knife just to be able to give it to my son without having to hang my head in shame for giving him such a crappy gift. I didn't want to throw it away like the Chinese Buck I had once mistakenly purchased.
I compared this Buck 303 knife to a Case knife belonging to a friend of mine, side by side, in my hand. The Case is superior in every way. It had none of the issues that the Buck has. Yes, it costs a few dollars more, but you usually get what you pay for using your hard-earned money, except for Buck. The Case even has fully polished blades. I ordered a Medium Case Stockman immediately.
I had been a Buck Knives fan for over 45 years and I own several older ones that are of high quality, but I will never buy another Buck, at least not sight unseen.
Addendum: My Case Medium Stockman with the real bone, navy blue slabs, arrived today and it is beautiful. I have poured over it and can not find one thing in it or on it that causes me any reservation for having bought it. Super pleased. Buck Knives - make a note of it!
Buck, your biggest mistake was to have your knives made in China... like the one I threw away. And even it was of better quality, fit, and finish than this USA made 303. I'm really not sure now that you ever came back.
Congratulations, though. You just made another well pleased Case fan and customer!
Addendum 2: I just bought two more Case knives. A Mini-Trapper with 'worn green' scales and a 'Tequila Sunrise' Canoe. Thanks again Buck!
I had a Buck knife 🗡️🔪 when I was growing up. I loved that blade. I bought one for my son. I'm 56 now and still carry a Buck. My son loves his, do I bought him another one
