Burke Bros Recovery Ltd Reviews 

Don't tend to leave these reviews but just want to say a massive thank you to the reassuring Gavin Williams, the driver for Burke Bros, who, not only came to recover my car 2 hrs earlier than stated, but in the dark, awful, crappy English weather & with the A49 closed for roadworks,had to re-route around small country lanes for over 2hrs to bring my car home.
He sent me on my way with my lift so I didn't have to hang around on the dark,cold,rainy night. Thank you again.

Big thanks to the driver Damien, great service provided and was very helpful and friendly.
Even better that he arrived with us an hour earlier than told... would highly recommend them....

My motorhome broke down just after 6pm in Newcastle under Lyme. I have AA cover included with my Nationwide F/account and they arranged for me to be picked up by a loader from Burke Bros. The driver was a really pleasant guy called Jon. C. Jon delivered the van to my home which is in a cul-de-sac and when he realised it was impossible to put it on my drive, instead of just dropping it anywhere and leaving he spent time to put it in a place where it caused no problems for my neighbours to get past. This actually entailed him using his winch and a lot of to and throwing in the freezing cold at gone midnight. One of the good guys that you hope to get when there's a problem but all too often nowadays do not. Thanks Jon.

Flat Tyre 28/1/24 , Contacted AA at 00.50 am Advised that Mansfield Group were on route , Received update that they would be with me by 02.05 , for the next hour the update changed every 5 minutes, “On The Way “ I contacted AA who advised that Mansfield Group had advised them that they could not attend until after 07.00 am , No one informed me , AA contacted Burke Bros Recovery and Paul attended within 30 minutes , Paul sorted issue and got me back on the road , Very Kind & Friendly, I am so grateful that Burke Bros attended excellent service, cannot fault , Thank You Paul ,

My older daughter who is a full time wheelchair user car broke down, she was with her younger sister. RAC wanted to leave them over 100 miles from home to wait for a taxi but Burke Bros drove them all the way to Lancashire. I am eternally grateful to Sharon who was in the call centre and Gary the driver who got my girls home safe. They went above and beyond.

Your driver ( Jonathan Childs ) arrived at his stated time, approx. 10 p.m. as stated,
after a 7 hour un - eventful 'let down' by R.A.C.
The driver was very knowledgable & made our trip very pleasant. Wish we had rung him from the start.

My car broke down on the m54, I called Burke bros, and within 40mins, a guy called Francis arrived, he was a very polite, and was very professional. I believe franchis is a credit to you team of drivers,
There new trucks are unbelievable, hi tec equipment etc, and there cost was very cheap

Excellent service received from Richard who has recovered our vehicle and us & transported us home safely. He rang with an ETA and was true to his word arriving in the specified time. He was caring and considerate, asking how we were and if we were ok. A true gentleman and a great asset to this company.

Paul came to save the day when my car broke down and was undriveable in a precarious junction. He kept in contact on his arrival time and was really helpful when picking up the car he gave me great advice and supported me with my young child ensuring we were safe at the scene. I haven't used Burke bros before but my car was well looked after and the service from start to finish was amazing everyone I spoke to was super friendly and helpful. THANK YOU I would highly recommend.

On Thursday last (31/8) our Harley Davidson broke down in rural Gloucestershire. The RAC arranged recovery. It was a busy day and after 9 hours waiting your recovery truck arrived on scene.



I want to bring to your attention the superb service provided by your driver ‘ Simon’ . He was totally professional , taking the greatest care loading and unloading the bike and ensuring the strapping was actuate to be secure and damage free. Simon delivered difficult news ( we were only to taken to Reading service and not home ) sympathetically.



Simon is a credit to your firm , a big ‘thank you’ to him for a job well done .

Stay clear of this company, they sent out an untrained operator, he had no experience, his tools were faulty, no road side awareness, no health and safety, no common sense.
He did not know what a jacking point was, he's caused thousands of pounds worth of damage, over three weeks later Burkes have still done nothing about it, and have lied through their teeth.
This company is dodgy beyond belief
Criminal operation.
Why you cannot leave no stars is beyond me, as they are a million miles from the one star.

These guys went above and beyond to help us get our vehicle home. We had been waiting for 37 hours for recovery. A height restriction on a carpark and road closures didn't stop them from helping us. They were helpful, friendly and after such a stressful experience put us at ease. If I could give more than five stars I would.

These guys are modern day knights in shining armour! Our caravan completely lost its wheel and when Gavin saw us stranded on the side of the road he stopped to see if he could assist and informed us that as the caravan was insured he could recover it to their lot and repair it once the insurance agreed, this meant that me and my elderly parents could uncouple and be on our way and saved us standing on the road side, in the cold, worrying how long it would take to be recovered. I will not hesitate to use these guys again, they really care.

Fantastic service and could not have been more helpful. I was stuck on M42 with an irreparable puncture and no spare. After LeasePlan and LV insurance had both proven useless I called ATS and their insurance company sent Burke to recover me and my son and grandsons. He arrived well within the advised time and hit me to ATS 30 minutes before closing time but they had already closed! Undaunted he took us 2 other tyre companies with no joy before he spotted a Kwik Fit that appeared still open. He dropped me there and despite the fact that they had just closed they agreed to sort me out and we made it home! Without the help of Kwik Fit but especially Burke Bros we would have been stranded 100 miles from home.

If ever you need recovery please use Burke Bros they are brilliant.

I'm a traffic officer for Highways England, Burke Bros don't work with us, but I'm reporting back to my team to arrange a meeting with Burke Bros as there equipment is excellent they operate and there staff are so more professional and efficient than our current contractors we currently have. I had to arrange a statutory removal of a vehicle which was involved in an accident, our current contractor couldn't get the vehicle on. We directly contacted Burke Bros and they were very efficient. Thanks so much.

Just had a car recovery from Danny from the Wolverhampton branch. It was a difficult car recovery in an awkward driveway, but was handled with professionalism, care and good humour. Very impressed. Thanks Danny.

Very polite & professional, couldn’t fault the service, great communication.

My car wouldn’t start and phoned to help with recovery to dealership. Georgia in the office was polite, friendly and informative giving both a price and an estimated time, someone would be with me. Dan arrived close to time and was brilliant. After trying to start it and get it running He got my car loaded and to the dealership promptly. He was friendly, helpful, clean and tidy giving an overall really professional service and help. Hopefully would never need them again but would definitely be my first call if I did. Would recommend to anyone.
