I signed up in January unfortunately hopeful to get started and I was blind and didn’t research properly.

I signed up with them and got a bit of help in the beginning and then the big pause. No services. And I was still hopeful they would start up again. I kept sending back and forth emails and still they talk of the pause and patience. I liked them but was deceived. Pause has started end of March and now 7 months have passed and nothing unless I knock on the door and email. I just get words no action.

To top it off, you cannot dispute the payment after three months. So the pause started at almost three months after I began. So when I finally decided this is too much time wasted and I need to dispute the payment, visa no longer accepts disputes after three months. I wasted the money for nothing. Felt like I was tricked.

Very disappointed.

I'm new to this platform and was told I would receive ongoing support to set up my profile, receive suggestions, and enhance my outreach to clients. After my Zoom meeting, I did not receive any follow-through and then received an email that the Company is taking a pause to revamp its site. I waited a while before I got any additional feedback from an email that I sent. I feel as if the ball was dropped after I paid for the membership. I hope things change because I am very disappointed with my experience so far.

I applied for a BYOU licensed psychotherapist position at the beginning of January 2025 via LinkedIn. I received an email reply thanking for applying the position. It was very confusing and unclear from the beginning, What actually happened it was not even 1099 position as it was supposed to have been based on the application but turned out to be a PAID subscription with a start up cost just to set the profile. I couldn't even find the job opening anymore shortly after that which I found strange I took time to reflect on my almost 3 months of experience with them (all the facts can be verified as I kept all the correspondence.) which I'll explain briefly here. I am writing this so that it does not happen to anyone else. Please do your research and ask specific questions during the discovery call.

So instead of getting a job/contract, I ended up being a paid customer. However overall, the worst part and the main reason why I finally left and asked my profile to be taken down was when I received very defensive and rude response from the owner basically implying that I am not a mental health provider (and she doesn't even know me). This came directly via private message on my LinkedIn profile account (I saved a screenshot) This was because on several occasions I expressed valid concerns about things such as licensing and issues with the Town Hall that I had to leave because of the political remarks that have no place in a business meeting and did not feel to me were aligned with humanitarian organization that they claim to be. Not to mention the marketing efforts did not happen. and never received any clients in 3 months. My concerns were not addressed in a timely manner.

It's interesting that only a few days after my email to the company and the owner they all of a sudden, without any warning, they put all their SERVICES ON HOLD/PAUSE and after all these issues I requested a refund as I had no intention of staying with a company that treats providers like this!

While her staff apologized to me in several messages the owner continued to be defensive and never apologized for her rudeness or lack of professional response.

I am so glad that I saw this early and listened to my intuition. I will not recommend this company to my 10 K plus connections on LinkedIN and my professional community over 25 years. I never want to be a part of the company where I am treated with disrespect.

In my professional opinion and experience with this company, that appears to be as a start up company, when it comes to global mental health, they didn't have any in-depth knowledge about licensing for psychotherapists globally.

During the initial discovery call and onboarding process, the sales people and onboarding dept. could never produce answers to my questions about licensing, for example.

Being a seasoned therapist for over 25 years, working for corporate America, including Magellan, Memorial Healthcare systems and telemedicine with all major telemedicine companies I have expert level knowledge of both profit and non-profit sectors. I've helped to save thousands of lives! I work with people who suffer from severe PTSD and much more.

I hope that the owner and the company will take this feedback seriously and we can all take this as a learning experience.

Now this is the game change to keeping more monies and earning more for less....Just love the concept!
Please do not increase your pricing or start taking commissions...

After a day's work l Never feel like doing some sport.so l went searching on the computer and came across the byou app.and saw that l could have a personal trainer come to my home via that app.and since then l have training twice a week end l feel a lot fitter since that trainer came by.and all that via the byou app

BYOU was recommended by a friend who told me that it was so convenient to have all kinds of services at home. I just booked an holistic yoga teacher at home and I really loved it! She was very helpful and kind. Before the booking, you can see where the teacher is on the byou app and talk to her. I really recommended others to try it out.
