This company are a disgrace, I cancelled my membership a week after starting and they still charged me 39 pound which I point black refused to pay because this is a fake website that advertises false profiles This violates trading standards and also data protection policies, I am also a respected solicitor here in the UK so believe me I know what I am talking about, now I have this debt collection company chasing me for 309gbp, this is a disgrace and I would be more than happy to take this natter to court myself, also got aj email back after waiting 3 weeks saying that there was no record of my cancelling which I had a feeling that they would say, what your doing is completely illegal even in Germany and I strongly advise you to think carefully about your next move

That's the very problem you never issued me with a cancellation notice and may I remind you as a business that in the UK consumers are protected under the consumer rights act of 2015, therefore you have failed to adhere to your rules and regulations as a business and that will not stand up in court, I hereby demand that this debt collection stops immediately with a cease and dessist

No date cancelled in March only just noticed still taking £39.99 tried again still not cancelled need help with this £160 gone out of my account

Horrid company that don't listen and don't make it easy to cancel. I'm prepared to take this matter to court to finally stop you ripping people off. I'm also a victim of this terrible company... it's nice you responded to a lot of people with the same problem that I have, but you don't seem to care or do anything about it. So I'll wait until you take me to court for the money. I've prove via e-mail asking you to end subscription and by the hundreds of bad reviews I'm not to sure you would will. Under english law we have a right to cancel you don't seem to listen. So good look trying to get money from me.

The email provided is the one I received the cdate emails from so it would be this email provided so now I'm just confused?? Could you not find it another way at all ?

I had canceled my membership several months ago by emailing to them requesting the same. I just got an email back saying I had to reply back again or fax them which is ridiculous. I kept getting emails to pay and received an email from T&D Rechtsanwälte GbR saying I have to pay around £300 which is ridiculous.

Total scammers! Avoid at any cost. I have try to cancel my subscription and they still have charge me. When I stop the money they send me emails about legal action against me. I only wonder who is going to take this case worth just over £300 . The cost of the case would be way higher than the imaginary amount of money that you claim I owe you. The proof of cancellation is your online cancellation form so you can send that to your “ so call lawyer “ and explain to him that you are actually have to refund me rather than asking me for money .i have now send screen shots of my numerous request to your “agency” . Along with cancellation of the circus I am expecting a full refund from you and I strongly suggest that you get your act together .

Following the message on trust pilot the email address i found out was ben_476 @hotmail.co.uk and the letter has come from a company called T&D Rechtsanwalte.

They are saying they are collecting for you and saying its 304.34 GBP but they expect the payment in euros. The contact details they have provided are collection@ c-date.co.uk.

The thing is that I require my account to be closed and unsubscribed before making payment so then to be sure no following up repeat performances will be happening once that is covered. So as i can not get into my account to do that if you can do that from your nend and thrn let me know with confirmation and then I can make the payment.

I can assure you there has been no recieving of any e.mail about the payment and you are accusing me of ignoring when there has been nothing coming through until the one has come in the post,

I have now attached screen shots of subscription cancelation requests made in the message box under the option account deletion which I require to be done,

The evidential documents I have are the screen shots of the requests I made on the contact page where I requested to be unsubscribed under the cancel account part for it to be canceled and where it has been submitted .

And I have been e.mailing C-Date many times today now just you are not reading it to keep up to date if you are not aware of any of that corespondence,
You really need to improve in your corespondence and keep up with reading messages when they come through rather than asume customers are not sending anything when they are but its you just not opening the message to read it, You need to be more motivated and keep up with reading what come through than making assumptions and asking people to do things they have already done. ,. what is the whole c date e,mail address ? Joined December 2022. Cancelled 30 December. C Date continued to take the 39.90 subscription for 7 months from my account until it was spotted by me bank and cancelled on their advice. (I know should have seen it earlier). Re-sent cancellation email numerous times. Had ecollect who were investigating, heard nothing. Now T&D Rechtsanwälte GbR are chasing me for £309. Think CDate have had enough. Bullies.

I have had exactly the same experience as most here on C-Date and also believe it's one big scam! I started a premium 1 month subscription 3 weeks ago and have been trying to cancel for the last few days before the 7 day period they give you to cancel before the month is up. They have responded each time telling me to cancel via a link on the homepage, but the snag is there is no homepage! Frustratingly everytime I type the web address in it just takes me to the profile pages which you cannot cancel from, only delete the profile. This I know from experience does not mean that your subscription is cancelled. Very very frustrating.

I tried to go out and give up but I couldn't because they won't let you, and I received a payment letter from a cms collection company that is from Germany. they are scammers who steal from you

Total scam. Won't let you cancel free trial and then send legal letters through post.Well known scam.

They are based supposedly in Germany. They target UK daters hoping to scare them into sending payment as they can't do this in a EU court. Amazingly, they can't do this in a UK court. Ignore the clowns.

Don't not sign up! I signed up for the 1 month premium after a hour realised was completely fake, then seen all the bad reviews so decided to cancel the subscription- which they make so hard! For anyone who does need to cancel it's on there homepage in the footer, but instead of it just being cancelled button they make you fill a form asking for stupid unnecessary info. Once u submit the cancellation for you receive an email saying they will confirm in 5 days I did then send another email demanding it to be canceld this morning I have received a email confirming this. Anyone who signs up just follow the cancellation instructions in the bottom footer on there home page!

I’m livid right now!! Who does C- date think they are by posting up a threat that they will be initiating a collection process by enforcement against me!
I no longer what the fake premium subscription and tried canceling it many times! Now that they can’t get access to my debit card they want to collect it via an agency! It’s a mafia company. Do - not - join this site. I will be reporting this. C- date if you read this ( doubt it) stop it now!!!

Made a massive mistake thinking this was a genuine site...subscribed for one month today and actually want out. They have made cancellation of subscription impossible. This should be a easy process but not on this site.

After being auto rolled into premium without my approval I tried to cancel my subscription to no avail, I sent an email which I still have as proof, so that they cancel my subscriptions still they wouldn't, now they are sending me a bunch of letters from lawyers trying to intimidate me. I have my lawyers too and I have everything as proof.

I subscribed on Monday .. and on that day I wanted to unsubscribe.. I just didn’t like the format etc ..

I went to the unsubscribe button and it said can’t unsubscribe please get In touch via customer service .. I thought that’s odd .. so any how after a few emails .. research etc I got an email on the Wednesday stating I’m
No longer a member all has been cancelled no more payments..

For me it was pretty straight forward .. very similar format to a company called RTA .. they were a company who dealt with commercial property and you couldn’t leave the contract despite the thousands in fees ..
I took them to court .. and won .. and sued them !!

so I was ready for this one .. screen shots , screen recordings .. clauses etc , but luckily my experience wasn’t too bad !!

I would say stay away .. on the grounds off to unsubscribe is a mission .. not like tinder etc where you’re on and off !!

It’s a business a dishonest one .. let’s be real .. it doesn’t do what it says on the tin .. unfortunately companies like this are set up by solicitors and law firms.

Never been asked for any money, account details or card details.

I read as I’m a woman I get the service for free.

Various websites including your own state this.

Contacted CDate as I deactivated my account and they advised the account has been deleted. However, I have now been informed that the site is only free to women is subscribed recently !

I haven’t seen any woman’s reviews in my research.

I need to know if I am being told the truth.

This company is a set up as scam to rip off ppl and harassing me for something I didn't want if money didn't go through is clear I wanted cancel all as I haven't opened the profile was my son and c date didn't even verify me at all so I won't be paying for service that I never used !!!

Fake profiles and they make it impossible to unsubscribe unless you get heavy with these thieves. I had to cancel my bank card which caused me a lot of hassle to stop them plundering my account and threaten them with trading standards before they gave in, albiet begrudgingly.
This is no way to treat people.
BUNCH OF CROOKS, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
