They smile as they ruin your celebration and steal your money
I paid around £100 for a Sonic the Hedgehog 4th birthday cake for my son. We waited in anticipation for it to arrive, and my little boy was so excited about his cake. Caker Street sent it via DHL Express, and the cake arrived smashed to pieces inside a clearly labelled cake box, completely ruining what should have been the centrepiece of his birthday party.
There was no visible damage to the outer box, yet the cake inside had clearly suffered a heavy impact. Given the state of the cake, it looked as though it had been tipped upside down and subjected to very rough handling. All this despite being shipped in a box clearly labelled as containing a cake.
They took the money, and now they don't want to know. The customer service has been terrible and unhelpful.
Accidents happen, but ignoring the customer afterwards is a choice.
Caker Street initially responded generically, but I'm still waiting for my refund. Emails and WhatsApp messages are now being ignored, and calls go to "the voicemail of Ahmet". DHL has simply told me to sort it out with the seller.
I've paid nearly £100 for a ruined cake, my son was left disappointed on his special day, and I'm now having to chase my own money.
A child's birthday is a special occasion you cannot recreate. You trust a company to deliver something that matters, and Caker Street let us down when it counted. The delivery was bad enough; the complete lack of resolution afterwards has made an already upsetting experience even worse.
Something else I wish I'd checked beforehand:
the Food Standards Agency's published record shows a low food hygiene rating of **2 out of 5**, following an inspection in September 2025. See the official inspection records on the Foods Standards Agency website.
Avoid this company unless you're prepared to risk them ruining your loved one's special day. I certainly wouldn't use them again.

I ordered Jellycat cupcakes and they didn’t even come to my house I will never ever ever order this again,it was a waste of of money.
doesn't deliver on time
doesn't deliver on time, Ruins birthdays and has no moral compass when dealing with customers, such an awful way to run your business and leaving parents to pick up the pieces, shameful service
AVOID
I would recommend you avoid. The pictures look great and the cake that should have arrived should be great but it wasn't,
You could blame the carrier for that but when contacted they wanted it returned and from there it was so difficult to get to speak to anyone and get a refund.
I eventually had to revert to Mastercard purchase support and payment protection scheme to get payment notwithstanding I had ran email from them telling me I would get payment in 10 - 14 days.
It ended up taking from the end of July until the end of September to get a refund.
As a customer it feels like they are quick to take your money but very difficult to get any sort of a refund even though they offered the money when they received the returned cake.
Really disappointed and feel let down for a special event
Not having it
Not impressed.
We’ve been ordering from Caker Street for the past few years, so this experience has been incredibly disappointing. We ordered a set of 6 cupcakes well in advance, specifically requesting delivery the day before the birthday. This wasn’t a last-minute order, so there was plenty of time to get it right.
It’s now been 4 days, and the cupcakes still haven’t arrived. The communication and updates regarding the order have been extremely poor, leaving us frustrated and completely in the dark.
A birthday order is time-critical, and there’s no point ordering in advance if you can’t rely on the delivery. After being a returning customer for years, this has really let us down. Very disappointing service, and we’ll think twice before ordering again.

Little man's birthday not quite the same without a cake. Cake ordered 10.10.26 to arrive at London hotel on saturday 24.10.26, order number 142911. Barcelona cake never arrived. They informed us of a delay the day before then completely disappeared. On Monday 26th they answered the phone in silence...then WhatsApp'd asking how they could help? Terrible.

Thank you so much ‘Caker Street’, looking forward to receiving the cake. 🎂 🍰🤩
STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOT
STAY AWAY. ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES.
Ordered birthday cakes on 10/10/2026 for delivery on 24/10/2026. The day before delivery they suddenly said it was delayed. The birthday passed and no cakes arrived.
They then sent a text saying a refund had been issued, as if that somehow fixes ruining a child’s birthday order. Since then, calls and messages have been completely ignored.
Used them for four years. Never again.
No cake. No proper explanation. No customer service. Just silence.
Do yourself a favour and stay well away from this outfit.
If you don't want disappointed go to Marks & Spencers or another retail shop, keep away from these shifty operators.
Dial the Number, the pick up the phone and stay silent.
WARNING!!!! Don't Use This Company!!!!
Cake arrived damaged. Terrible time trying to contact Caker Street. No replies from anywhere on phone lines, constantly got cut off! Eventual reply from email, sent pics of damaged cake. Full refund promised on 14/10/2026 STILL not refunded! No replies on phones AGAIN! This is an AWFUL company - don't use it, they have no respect for their customers and are thoroughly unreliable.
Diabolical way to keep customers
Waiting for a refund since 05-10-2026, not happy
My heart sank when my husband told me…
My heart sank when my husband told me he had ordered a cake from cakerstreet for our sons 16th. He ordered it 5 days in advance and as predicted it did not arrive on the allocated day (i had used them in january and had the worst experience with them) however, he thought he was doing a good thing by ordering the cake in. It still has not arrived and its currently 3 days late!!!! The party was last night so its completely useless to us now, we have rang countless times, emailed 5 times and have had no response. The cake totalled over £230. Its such a great scam they have going on here, they make false statements about next day delivery (knowing full well they cant fulfill this) and you never, ever receive the cake youve ordered, back in january we received a monstrosity of a cake that was not only damaged badly but was hideous and nothing like the one we ordered. We were offered a £30 refubd which by the way we never received!
We will probably never see that money again but my god will i tell every single person i know how bad this company is. Its great to know the owner Akshata Gupta also does not respond to messages on his linked in account, at least they are consistent in their terrible service. ***** Avoid these people at all costs***** go to a local baker, or buy in from a supermarket.
AVOID CAKER STREET!
AVOID CAKER STREET!
Paid almost £250 for my son’s 16th birthday cake. It never arrived. No notification, explanation, apology or response to two emails. They don’t answer the phone either. Its the day after and its still ot arrived
They took the money and failed to deliver. Completely unacceptable and utterly unprofessional.
I also run a customer service business and i would be embarrassed if this was the way my company operated. The directors/ Owner should be ashamed of theirselves!
Avoid.
Cake arrived a day later than confirmed…
Cake arrived a day later than confirmed delivery date, the phone is never answered, e mail not replied to. They started a WhatsApp chat after I left a voicemail, which they stopped replying to when I gave the reason I called and my order number.
For the price would have expected a bit more attention to detail and for it to look a bit more professional, some bubbles under the "sticker" which also had not been trimmed very well. Probably being a bit picky but if I'm paying over £100 for a cake, whatever size, I want it to look spot on. Not eaten any yet, it may be delicious.
Do not use Caker Street!
Do not use Caker Street! Cake arrived completely damaged and they have ignored my calls! No solution. No refund! Incredibly disappointed!
I see there are so many reviews like mine I wish I had seen them before I ordered.

AVOID
I ordered a birthday cake to be delivered a few days before a party. It was delivered with finger prints and a blotch of a different colour to the rest of the cake.
I e-mailed with photos within 30 minutes of the delivery, no reply. so I called, they found my e-mail and asked for more photo's so I sent them whilst on the phone. Customer services said I would be a call between a set time to sort out the issue. This did not happen.
Then I got a e-mail later evening outlining the return options. (return within 24 hours but got the e-mail over 36 hours after delivery)
I called the following morning to be told this was a auto e-mail and my ticket was open. Then I was told I would get a call within a hour. This did NOT happen!!!
So I have been trying to call on a number of occasions the next morning...customer service just goes through to voicemail.
I have given them 3 days to sort the problem......
As they do not want to resolve the problem I have paid for a damaged cake and now need to go to the shop to buy a standard cake.
A celebration should be a happy occasion not stressful
Would recommend using a different company.
Second year ordering from them
Second year ordering from them. Easy to use and reliable.
⭐ 1 Star
⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointing
I paid £135 for my daughter's 6th birthday cake, expecting something special for her big day. Unfortunately, when I unwrapped it at the party, the cake had significantly collapsed and cracked, despite the outer box arriving in perfect condition.
To make matters worse, I had specifically ordered buttercream filling, but fresh cream was used instead without my agreement.
I had no choice but to serve it, as I couldn't have a children's birthday party with no cake!
I contacted Caker Street with photographs, but they refused to offer a full refund unless I returned the cake within their timeframe, offering only 20% if I didn't. Despite further emails and follow-ups, my complaint remains unresolved.
For £135, this was incredibly disappointing. Not only was the cake not as ordered, but the customer service has left me feeling completely let down.
I would not order from Caker Street again.
Ignore emails, incorrect flavour
Writing yet another review as they continue to ignore my emails.
Wrong flavour cake - the cake was so thin and measly it wasn't worth half the cost!
The filling was more like a mousse than buttercream.
Be warned, do not buy - I bake cakes, this is not the quality you should expect.

Made an order for some cupcakes for my husband bday, was over £40. Looked like a child has made them. I’m embarrassed to give them too him. Will ask for a refund but by looking at reviews don’t look like I will get one.
