Was gifted this by someone whom has the app via work as a free trial. I tried to cancel towards the end after never using it but was somehow subscribed.
After a convoluted process of trying to get this refunded my emails now bounce.
Please be very wary of this app

I receive my membership through Kaiser but before my membership was included with my insurance I was a paying customer. I love this app although I do feel it has become “too much.” The experience is now overwhelming with too much content from too many different artists. I love Tamara Levitt and I wish it was all back to her soothing voice. The only thing I image would make this app better would be to lower pricing and reduce content.

Ive been using Calm for a few months, mostly late evenings after long days at the agency. The soundscapes are actually really nice and the guided meditations help me switch off. The new AI voice sounds pretty natural too.

But honestly the subscription experience is frustrating. I tried cancelling my trial and it wasnt clear at all, had to hunt around for the option. Also after a while the content starts feeling repetitive, not as personalised as they make it sound in the ads.

Its good enough for basic relaxation but for the price I expected better. Just make cancelling easier please.

I think I subscribed to this company site at the end of last year and since January have been trying to cancel the monthly amount they are taking from my bank account!! They said first they were very buy then second wanted more info which I am loathe to provide. I dont see why they just cant stop it!

I’ve had calm in the past and definitely thought it was worth it. However I purchased my annual subscription through a promotion but it’s not giving me the premium content (even though I paid for it) and I can’t get a response from calm to fix the issue. It’s just an AI chat that doesn’t actually respond to the conversation

I was "sold" on Calm by a promise to create a "plan" for me based on my needs (as determined by my answers to multiple questions). But there was no "plan" or anything tailored/customized to me/my needs, just a ton of playlists and files. I did like the EMDR playlists. But I can get those on YouTube for free, so Calm is definitely not worth the money.

first year May 8th 2025, £19.99, load of rubbish arrived.
CANCELLED any more renewals afer first month.
Heard today that they will be increasing their charges to £49.99 and are taking it out of my bank on May 8th 2026
Tried to contact but they believe I am a ROBOT..!!!

Their cancellation policy is intentionally abusive. I cancelled my "free trial" within hours, which was confirmed via email. Days later CALM sent a text at 4 AM confirming my annual subscription: cancellation does not prevent payment. This is fodder for a class action lawsuit.

Accidentally left my subscription on after a free trial. It was a good service but not for me personally. I got in touch about a refund and they did so immediately. Very rare in my experience with subscription based apps. Thank you calm!

Terrible experience. Auto-renewed after I'd cancelled and there is no workable refund process on their website. I wish I had read the poor reviews before I started a 1 week trial. Content is not impressive. Frankly, you'd do better with free content available on YouTube. Avoid.

I subscribed to calm and the money left my account immediately. Whenever I opened the app it did not recognise my account and just offered more options for subscribing. I have made many attempts to contact them and have had two auto generated replies telling me how incredibly busy they are and they will get to my account soon. The 30 days is almost up and I can't even request a cancellation of my subscription because at no stage have I received any receipt of money paid. I have contacted my bank but I'm not having much luck there either. Do not trust this company who claim relief for anxiety... they just cause unnecessary stress.

Buyer beware! They are a fraudulent company, taking your money and no account is set up, nor access to one!

Ce type en apparence très zen s'agace vite lorsqu'on lui dit qu'il abuse à ce tarif là. Et vu ce qu'il fait, ça ne les vaut pas du tout.

Bought annual subscription and created an account (which was a, faff). App says I have a free account. Logging out and in didn't help. AI Chat bot was worse than useless and said I'd hear from someone by email (but warned is delys). Wish I'd read these reviews first. Will be requesting a refund and if no luck, disputing with credit card. Ironic that the app is called Calm as the customer service leads to rage.

The most appalling customer service. I paid sub on 2 March and have been unable to access my account yet. They take about 4 days between replies and talk nonsense with each reply. I finally asked for refund and now haven't heard back. I am so NOT calm!!

I am in bed, ready to get to sleep. At a friends recommendation I look at Calm. there is nothing calm about signing up for Calm. Right now I’m supposed to fill in forms, make up passwords and get up and go get my.credt card.

Terrible from beginning to end. I can’t cancel and being charged against my wishes.

Paid for discounted month’s subscription through social media. Download app, link they sent to start subscription never works, been able to access for over a week. Emailed them they messaged to say their still working on it- I’m going to try and get a refund but not hopeful based on all of these reviews. The irony of wanting the app to reduce stress and the so called provider adding more stress- avoid like the plague is my recommendation!
