We purchased the Gold Shield 5L - Car Cover from Carcover.ca in June 2024. The cover was just used during summer and fall and put away for the winter indoors. We took the cover out again in June 2025 and noticed it had started peeling and flaking all over. I contacted the company since it had a LIFETIME WARRANTY when I purchased it. I sent in photos and requested a replacement cover. They said they would gladly replace it if I paid $67. I paid $200 for the cover originally.
At this rate I would need a cover every year and each time I would have to pay $67 dollars. This is outright misleading and false advertising.
I cut my losses and didn't bother reordering. I do not recommend this company or their products.

Carcovers.com or carcovers.ca total scam artists, shysters ! Product does not perform as promised, not even close. Warranty and customer service is even worse than the product. Highly recommend to stay away from this company!

I ordered a top car cover from carcovers.com thi king that it would protect my corvette from the elements. I've had it for less then 3 months and every time it rains, I noted that it seemed to allow water through the cover. I sent a request to the customer care center and they were not any help at all - asking me to send pictures of the cover and wetness, which I did; only to have them say it is normal to gave 1% of rain get through as the "holes" in the cover allow it to breath. Well, this "cover" allows a heck of a lot more then 1% of water through as my car is as wet as it I had no cover on it in the first place. The cover only traps the moisture and then allows the moisture to bake into your vehicle.

Stay away from this company and look for an alternative companies. I wouldn't have been so disgusted if the customer help would have made a suggestion, but they just kept telling me this is normal...a car cover is to cover and protect the car from the elements, not just sit there to have the appearance like it's protecting the car.

Not impressed.

Ordered 2 top end covers for my truck & my wife's car. Truck cover was way too tight, so they replaced it right away, no charge, no hassle. I mentioned that my wife's cover was not waterproof, as advertised, but they never acknowledged it & i never pursued it, but should have. Now, less than 2 years later, the car cover completely failed & delaminated. They did honor the warranty, but charged me $62 to replace it. They need to get behind an obvious case of defective workmanship & not charge for replacement. Replacement did come quickly & i will be putting it on today. Buckles are extremely thin & poor quality. Hard to engage.
