When I first joined there were fanstica in 2019 cheap still are with courses

hower there slow to respond yo your email if they do respond ive sent two or more emails concern some courses I purchased no respond from has yet disappoint in their service

The classes seems to be highly personalized which assists to focus on the things that one desires. Cooperative people that are open to suggestions and improvement.

Great team that cares about learning process. They work on tailoring things for my needs and they always listen to the feedback. The online platform is intuitive and easy to use. Moreover, I love the 1-on-1 lessons and it helps a lot.

It is a great learning program, I really feel like improving whiles still being dedicated on my full-time job.
I enjoy this tight collaboration with Cardemy to provide me high-class 1 on 1 lessons, and a platform to support me on my daily vocabulary reviews. As you might already know, an AI engine prepares memory cards with words selected by my teacher or by myself. These cards are selected based on my level and my past performance remembering the words.

Das Lernsystem inspiriert, jeden Tag neue Wörter zu lernen. Mit der Hilfe der Lehrer kann das Gelernte direkt in die Praxis umsetzen. Ich empfehle es jedem.

Personally, the teacher part of Cardemy's offer wasn't for me because I don't really have a goal and already have a Japanese partner that can answer my questions. So I will not talk about that.
But I love the flashcard system that they have.
The way I study is as soon as I hear or read a new word that I wanna learn, I add it to the system.
Having to build my own, good flashcards with apps like Anki takes forever, and won't have videos but with Cardemy it's instant. Just type the word you want to learn and it will automatically find a context with a video. If you don't like the context, you can even switch to another one. And of course, it's not just flashcards, the spaced repetition system that comes with it makes sure you remember everything.

Now for the downsides, the AI is supposed to find contexts based on your interests, but in my case, it doesn't seem to work all the time and sometimes there are bugs like missing audio or wrong word definitions but they quickly fix the issues when you report them and I'm sure in the future these issues will be mostly resolved. Thankfully, if there's a problem with a flashcard, you can just delete it or replace it with a different context.

Usage of the site was really simple, the video chosen by the teacher are really picked given your interest, and you can focus at your own pace on the topic you want to improve

I liked the overall idea of learning new words and new kanji based on a specific topic and via video.

The only minus point I saw was that after the first revision, the video extract was the same for each word.

After more than 10 years of Japanese language learning journey (5 of them - while living in Japan), I can say that Cardemy is just the best learning aid for me personally. (And likely, for YOU).

First, you learn from real language - vlogs, meetings, presentations, ads - anything, that can be posted as youtube video. Unlike pre-selected, pre-recorded and pre-adjusted to the level study videos (useful for preparation to tests, maybe), and even teacher-guided lessons (teachers do adjust too), subtitled real videos with requested contexts are helpful for everyday life and work in Japan.

Second, you are creating your own database. You add only words that you need, with customized context. For me personally, it’s a tool to enrich my work-related vocab, improving my listening skills (can more and more often understand my boss, without him having to write down words for me, or repeat several times, yay!). No more skimming hundreds of cards in desperate hope to find useful ones.

Third, SRS algorithm. Flashcards appear when you are about to forget the word. Not sure if any learning app does not use it nowadays, but worth to mention.

Forth, possibility to book individual lessons with a professional teacher. Lessons are relatively inexpensive and very helpful to set a direction for learning, answer questions, or for having some additional info.

Service is still young and has it’s limitations, but it is already good value for money and being constantly improved. Highly recommended!

I work for an international digital marketing firm, but the majority of communication is still in Japanese. Because I'm still a beginner, I needed to learn as quickly as possible. Before Cardemy, I tried several Japanese schools, but the lessons didn't fit my needs because they were templated to fit a specific situation, such as ordering at a restaurant or asking for directions, whereas I wanted to learn vocabulary related to my field of work. When I spoke with Cardemy, they were able to provide (and continue to provide) flashcards related to my industry, as well as a one-on-one lesson with a teacher to practice speaking in actual business situations. Plus, because it's in the form of spaced repetition flashcards, it's actually enjoyable to do it every day! I can see how many days I've been reviewing, which encourages me to continue. I definitely notice a difference in my understanding of my colleagues and their understanding of me, so I am completely satisfied with the service and will continue to use it.

Le système de flashcards avec des vidéos adaptées aux centres d'intérêts aide vraiment à contextualiser l'apprentissage ! Le fait d'utiliser de véritables contenus japonais plutôt que du "textbook" est précieux.

I've tried many language learning apps or schools but I think cardemy is a very efficient and fun way to learn a language.
After every class with my teacher, they send me vocabularies or expressions I learned in the class and I can review them with related Youtube videos which cardemy picks up for me.
I usually don't like to review classes but cardemy made it very fun for me!
