My husband and I were completely lost when it came to starting to look for a place for his dad. I was referred to Care Portal and I’m so thankful I was. Leslie did all the research for us, went on the tour of his new home with me, and has been checking in since we moved my father-in-law in. This is such a beneficial company in helping meet the needs of families.

Tammy Brewer was a phenomenal resource in finding great care for my mother. My mom was 100% independent prior to a massive stroke on August 12, 2021. Tammy provided personalized service and guided me through the process of finding a place that provides high quality care, focusing on the individual needs and personalities of the residents.

Care patrol gave me background information to help narrow my search to two excellent assisted living/memory care communities that readily had available apartments. Care patrol helped to schedule the visits and offered tips on questions to ask that would help to decide on final selection for my mom.

I have to say that I would have been totally lost without the help of care patrol with finding a place that would take my mom. This review is for CarePatrol of Montgomery and Howard County Maryland specialist, Rhonda Thomas. The transition for my elder uncle has been difficult, borderline nightmarish. He went from his lifelong home to a protracted stay in a rehabilitation facility and an eventual placement in an assisted living group home situation. With the assistance of Ms. Thomas, my family was able to navigate difficult "waters" with finding him an acceptable and comfortable placement. To her credit, she maintained a professional demeanor, under difficult circumstances with both our family as well as various staff at countless facilities, which were not as helpful or as forthcoming with specific details, necessary to successfully placing our relative. Once our needs were fully understood by Ms. Thomas, she was a able to focus on possible placement options that met his needs (financially as well as medically and socially.) If you are reading this review, you are probably seeking professional assistance at a difficult time. Ms. Thomas should be able to do that. Be specific about anything that is important to your situation...this will be valuable to a successful outcome for you and your loved one. BE AWARE...this review relates to the specific performance of the liaison relationship for CarePatrol and our family and in no way reflects on the assisted living facility where our relative was placed... You should never replace your own research for that of any liaison company...if the place you are directed to seems off, by no means put your loved one there. Speak with the staff, the director and consult websites and reviews for both good and poor outcomes. It's kind of like the services of a realtor, doing the legwork on finding you places to see, but the final decision is up to you. At no point were we mislead about the "upfront" cost...the move in fee was told to us, and only when a facility was inclined to remove it, was there any question of it not being expected. If the placement is successful, that is just rolled into the cost of long term assisted care...sad, but true. You get what you pay for.

CarePatrol was prompt and efficient. Several suggestions for an assisted facility were made. Although I had done research on my own, the particular facility my father chose was unknown to me. I commend CarePatrol for matching my father with the appropriate facility.

Bonnie Danker was outstanding to work with. She calmed my nerves about a stressful situation immediately and was so kind to my dad when we met with her. I have already recommended CarePatrol to others who may be facing this process in the not too distant future.

We engaged with Tammy Brewer to help us transition a very dear friend into assisted living. Tammy was very responsive and quick to assess our friend’s needs. She arranged for us to tour two assisted living facilities and we chose the one she gave her highest recommendation.
