When shopping for watches, keep this in mind

The watch I have I really love. Casio customer service and Casio's repair department, however are complete garbage! My watch was sent in with a detailed description of what was wrong as well as the location of the issue circled on the crystal in dry erase marker. I was charged to replace a seal and before I could ask what happened the watch was already on its way back to me. When the watch was returned to me it still had the issue. I called repairs and they couldn't tell me what was wrong. They gave me a list of tests it passed, including a water test it passed. I was then told that it was a moisture leak and that's why the seal needed to be replaced. When I asked how it has a moisture leak but passed its water test all I got was crickets. Nobody knew. I was told to send it back to them to recheck it. I sent it back AGAIN. I got a notification that they received the watch a few days later and then a notification that the watch was coming back to me repaired an hour or so after that. I called again for clarification and was told that there were no notes but that it should be fixed. Guess what... It wasnt fixed again and this time the weird discoloration on the crystal was even worse. I called again to talk to someone about how this keeps happening and I was told that they cant actually talk to technicians just go off the notes but that they werent really sure what was going on. After a series of back and forth emails and numerous pictures of what the technician was completely ignoring, they requested I send it back to them for a THIRD TIME. Now they want to replace a case assembly, they still cant tell me what is wrong or if this will actually fix the issue or if it is just replacing a part that was discolored by something else and the same fate awaits the new replacement part. However they are happy to charge me again to give this "repair" a try. Fingers crossed they guessed correctly. This experience was enough for me to say no more. I love watches and have way more than I should. I will not buy another Casio after this. Its not worth this kind of headache when something fails. There are other watch manufacturers out there that do business properly and use information and transparency as their basis.

I bought a Casio G-Shock GW-9500-3 from…

I bought a Casio G-Shock GW-9500-3 from the official Casio America website for a little over $400 with taxes included.

From day one, the display visibility in daylight was honestly terrible. Very hard to read outdoors. But despite that, I still liked the watch because of all the features it had. All the sensors worked perfectly, including the compass, and overall I really enjoyed using it.

Everything was great… until barely ONE YEAR and ONE MONTH later, the inside of the crystal started fogging up with moisture.

Let me be very clear:
I NEVER submerged this watch in water.
Never took it to the ocean.
Never swam with it.
The most it ever saw was normal hand washing while wearing it.

So I contacted Casio about the warranty, and the response was basically: “Sorry, you’re one month out of warranty.”

A $400 watch becomes garbage because it failed ONE MONTH after warranty expiration?

Then it gets even worse.

I sent it to technical support willing to PAY for the repair, and they told me they don’t even have replacement parts for it. Instead, they offered me the chance to buy a “similar” watch for almost $300 more.

Seriously?

So a premium G-Shock fails from internal moisture under normal use, can’t be repaired because Casio doesn’t stock parts, and the solution is: “Buy another one.”

Is this legal? Apparently yes.

The best watches at this price point. Long time happy customer.

I ordered an edifice and it arrived five days later. Very happy with the packaging, price and shipping.

Mesmerized by the clear caseback and mechanical movement of a Casio!!

Online purchase

I bought online the watch, and it should be delivered in 3-5 days.( I needed it as a gift) After 5 days I called them because I didn’t see the shipping information, and was told sorry but we still processing your order because they don’t have packages. What kind of business are they doing, lying to customers about delivery time just to purchase from them.

Do not buy from Casio America

Do not buy from Casio America. I received a watch that is completely defective — it can’t keep time, off by several hours, and I only noticed after 30 days return period. When I tried to get a replacement or even a prepaid shipping label for warranty service, they flat-out refused. This is unacceptable for a reputable brand. Who would've thought their product would break soon after purchase? Casio’s customer service is a joke — they clearly do not stand behind their products. Feels like I was cheated and scammed.

Expérience inacceptable.

Cela fait plus de 3 heures que j’essaie d’acheter une Casio Edifice ECB-2300HR-1A affichée comme disponible sur le site.
Le produit était bien dans mon panier.

Pendant que je renseignais mes informations de livraison et de paiement, l’article a été vendu à quelqu’un d’autre.

Donc concrètement : le panier ne sert à rien.
Aucun système de blocage temporaire.
Aucune sécurisation pendant la transaction.

On laisse le client perdre son temps pendant des heures pour au final lui dire que le produit n’est plus disponible.

Pour une marque internationale comme Casio, c’est très inquiétant.
Soit la gestion de stock est défaillante, soit l’expérience client n’est clairement pas une priorité.

3 heures perdues.
Frustration totale.
Très mauvaise image.

I ordered a G shock watch for a present. I paid for expedited shipping 3-5 business days. After 10 days with no shipping update and multiple attempts to live chat and emails to customer service I was ignored. I never received an update on my order. It didn’t arrive for me to be able to process a return and was forced to dispute through my Visa card. Service has been unacceptable and I will never order from Casio again. The live chat and phone agents were supremely unhelpful. Such a disappointing experience

Wanted a $5.00 refundable deposit for me to talk with an advisor. Okay, hit continue, a form came up for my cc #, but at the bottom of the form, in small print, I would be signing up for their magazine at $65.00 a year! What if I hadn't noticed this, what a dirty SCAM!

Casio una garanzia.

Ho svariati orologi Casio e sono uno meglio dell'altro, non mi è mai arrivato un orologio rotto, o non funzionante, dopo anni di utilizzo sono ancora funzionanti. Casio è una garanzia veramente.

Misleading Warranty – No Support Response

I purchased a Casio AE-1100W-1AVDF based on the advertised “10-year battery life,” but the battery failed much earlier. When I submitted a support ticket (#94125), I was told the battery isn't covered under warranty — which feels very misleading.

Worse, I tried to contact Casio via several email addresses on their website, but all bounced back — they are either inactive or unavailable.

I'm truly disappointed by how a globally trusted brand handled my issue. Zero support. No escalation. Just silence. I expected better from CASIO.

Great experience

It's pretty simple: Casio makes great watches. I once ordered a generic analog wristwatch several years ago, and it lasted me all that time; the only reason why I am not wearing it while writing this review is that I accidentally broke it. I just purchased a new one and it arrived today, and it fits comfortably, is a care-free watch, and looks good.

Be absolutely sure that you are keeping…

Be absolutely sure that you are keeping the watch before removing any stickers or wearing it because it is non-returnable once you do either of these things. I don't know how you can determine if a watch fits well without wearing it, even if for a short while.

Return rejected

We returned a watch that we purchased. The watch was not used, as we decided to purchase a Samsung instead. Customer service claims the watch shows signs of being used and is returning the item back to us. I wish I’d taken photos of the item before returning, to show as proof that it had not been used. Crappy customer service. Will never purchase from them again.

I have two G-Shock watches

I have two G-Shock watches, the only thing I don't like about them is the face is small, everything else about them is good, but the watches are too small for me to read very good, if they would make a large face I would purchase it instantly but all I've seen are smaller face watches, it's hard to read the date and time with these, but other than that they are fantastic watches, just wish the face was bigger.

What can't they make?

What can't they make? Any Casio products (e.g. calculators and watches) are built to last, affordable, and dependable. If you are a student, I highly recommend their scientific and graphing calculators over TI's; the graphing/calculation speed is unmatched. The only downside is that you will need to learn to use it by yourself but that is not an issue nowadays with everything being available on the internet.

I would like to give credit where…

I would like to give credit where credit is due. Before purchasing a watch from Casio USA, I became skeptical since reading the multiple negative reviews. But went ahead and bought an Edifice from their website. I emailed their customer support and immediately got a response from Kayla. Got exactly what I ordered in a sturdy package.
Will be shopping from them again.

Don’t do business with this company

Don’t do business with this company! I bought a G Shock watch. It wasn’t what I had in mind so I returned it the next day. I had never worn it, not even for a minute. So, per their policy I returned it for a refund. They denied the refund saying it showed signed of wear. It had NEVER been worn. The customer service people blame it on the warehouse and said they could do anything about it.

I order a watch and never received my actual delivery after a week of contacting Casio they replied since confirmed by carrier that package was indeed delivered to contact my financial for further assistance as they can not offer reshipment nor a refund as company does not have program available for this type of situations but feel free to file dispute with bank. Unprofessional and poor customer service.

Declined help just after 30 days of ownership

Purchased a casio watch and just after 30 days of owning the watch, the battery died. I contacted their customer service and requested a replacement battery free of charge, due to the watch being brand new. Casio America initially advised they might possibly swap out the battery. After reviewing that the watch was just past 30 days of being received, they advised me they could not change the battery. When I asked if I could have a refund, they declined and told me thank you for choosing Casio America. While in the military. I always used Casio watches, but after this experience I will no longer be a customer.
