Research twice, buy once?
I only needed one or two specific 25mm conduit fittings, and CEF was the only outfit I found selling singly. This counts strongly in their favour, but ultimately the price was high and not competitive on a pro-rata basis. Their website gave the impression that my local branch (which is 17 miles from my rural address) stocked and sold the items but this proved not to be the case (so a wasted journey in excess of 30 miles) and I had to go back online and mail order, including a delivery charge. A 28-day collect-at-branch option was not available. (I suggest 28 days on account of the distance involved - us locals "hoard up" our shopping into worthwhile trips.) Although the staff were friendly, polite and as helpful as their business model allowed, I still had wasted journey time, wasted fuels costs and an eventual delivery charge for a few bits of plastic. If you need small numbers or single components, my recommendation is to research first and don't rush: you might find a better deal than CEF.
