They took £112.75 for single charge…
They took £112.75 for single charge lasting around 40min with quoted price of £0.60/kWh. Cars battery is under 64kWh, so they overcharged £80+.
It's now over a month and despite previous communications they just started complaint process.
Avoid. Shame on Scottish government for using such disreputable company as swarco.
Update. After complaints, phone calls and series of emails they eventually found that it was £10+ and refunded£102 they overcharged
There are better options over there
I struggled to connect. It took just over 30 minutes to get through after asking the adviser. The other problem was that I could not identify the charger. I had to call customer service who told me the charger number which was quiet weird. EV's are already a work by themselves and they added more work. Every time before an attempt to connect, they took £35 pre-authorisation which is a lot comparing to other competitors. In my case they too 4 times to a total of £140. Only £35 has been refunded today which is 4 days later. I have made a complaint today. I also noticed most of their chargers do not work or they have been sources to other providers.
The only reason I gave them 2 was because the charger was in a train station and it eventually worked after persevering although I was just about to give up!
AVOID,MONEY DISAPPEARING FROM YOUR ACCOUNT
If I could I would not even give one star as the service is a total joke! Avoid if possible. At Harrhill park and ride 3 out of 5 machines are faulty. Tried all the plugs and for each try £35 has been taken off my account!! In total of £245!!!! Contacted them and I need to wait about a week for those money get back on my account. Are youse having a joke??? Horrible, don't use this company, avoid !!!!
AWFUL - Paisley town centre
Tried three different chargers in Paisley. One of which actually allowed me to present a payment method. It then pre authorised three payments of £75 EACH, then failed to connect to my car, despite already being plugged in. Avoid at all costs. Operator on helpline said to west 3-7 working days to be refunded. AWFUL
Go to Arnold Clark. Great chargers, super quick, no nonsense.
Too Long To Refund!
Booked a charge at a certain charge point. Paid £75 authorisation. I realised I'd selected the wrong type of charger. My mistake. So I cancelled it. No money back!
Called them up, the first person said it's to do with my bank.
Messaged bank....they said it's to do with charge place Scotland.....
Called C.P.S. again....and was told it could take up to 8 days for my money to be refunded.
So there I am, on a Friday evening, £75 down, hoping to have enough charge to get home...
Finally got my money back but I'd never try charge place Scotland again!
Worst chargers in Scotland they charge…
Worst chargers in Scotland they charge too much for deposit and there machines always stick in my car . Having to wait 3 to 5 days for your own money . One at Kilwinning took 3 payments of 75 pound so 225 still pending on my account there’s not a car in this world that would cost 75 pound to charge it . Dont like using them I always try and find one that’s not charge Scotland .
Out of order but still hold your money
Nothing on the charge point saying it's out of order. Paid the £35 pre authorisation fee and nothing happened. Called the number on the screen to be told it's out of order but they can't intervene to refund my money and it will be held for 7 days. Avoid these chargers!
Having issue with the chargers as…
Having issue with the chargers as always and your employee can not even realise she has an IT issues when she says it herself to someone that all the calls keep dropping. No they don't we just hang up and dial again hoping to get someone else. If I would have to rely mainly on your services to charge my car I would go back to diesel or petrol...
If I could give MINUS stars
If I could give MINUS stars, I would. Because of this company's USELESS systems, I am now £140 out of pocket, the week before payday day and the customer sales advisor states it'll be 3 to 7 WORKING DAYS before I get my money back. The charge point wouldn't work and I have been charged 4 pre-authorising payments trying to get it to work... Disgrace of a company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Take few time pre authorisation money…
Take few time pre authorisation money and never charge a car. Now need to wait about 10 working days for get it back. Ridiculous
Not recommend at all
Everything
Everything; the app won't accept saved password on phone , back forwards to reset email carry on manage to use it to charge the car , £75 deposit , when finished said took £ 16 ods for charge , bank has taken £35 charge =£110 for 1 day 10 days + to reimburse, Thank you Scottish Government letting people down yet again !!!
Should be 10x easier to use than it is.
It's been a year since I last used one of their charge points.
Just as bad as ever. Nothing intuitive, an app that's dysfunctional, would not accept electroverse card, errors on app
Should be 10x easier than it is.
Do not depend on these chargers
Has to be the most unreliable charging service in the uk.
If visiting Scotland avoid these chargers at all costs. Do not plan your route/charging based on these. They very rarely work. Often not even powered on.
Lot of broken chargers and it takes…
Lot of broken chargers and it takes them weeks to fix. You just can’t rely on them at all. This has been going on for years and getting worse. Total shambles!
I tried to connect through various apps…
I tried to connect through various apps and finally just payment card but no luck charging . It took payment but still didn't charge. Connectivity seemed poor and there was no feedback on the screen . Useless at Castleview park and ride. I can see there is a pending charge on my card now but there was no indication it was charging just kept saying disconnect
Rubbish
Rubbish! Tried to use points that were working and available in Dundee city centre 3 different points and all failed. I tried several attempts so now I have to wait until the 7 x £35 hold is off my card.
I reached out to ask when the money would be released and they have blamed the bank. It’s not the bank that puts the hold in place it’s them! Trying to pass the buck so now I’m waiting on my funds being released. Rubbish service, diabolical customer service, absolute joke.
Not repairing faults
Tried to use a charger which was showing as available on their app. After several failed attempts phoned the help line only to be told that the charger had been faulty for a month!
Not a very good service for people…
Not a very good service for people living in the country, very few working power points and the ones that are working are often occupied, to try and encourage drivers to switch to electric the power infrastructure needs to be in place, at the moment in the Scottish borders it's definitely not.
One star
One star. Total waste of time and money. Useless call centre. Very disappointed. Do not recommend.
Absolutely abysmal service
Absolutely abysmal service, first time trying to use a charger, tried webpay 3 times, didn’t work, £105 away like that.
Phoned up, got told that webpay doesn’t work for that particular charger, had to use app.
7 days later and still waiting for my £105,
Shocking company, terrible service, scammers. Don’t use their chargers
