Wow, a lot of negative reviews on here. I can only speak from my experience, and that has been great. I have been purchasing SSL and Code Signing certificates from CheapSSLSecurity for years and haven't had a problem yet.

Poor service. Support team send contradicting answers.
Placed a TXT file on our server for validation. They say its not a plain text even though it is a .txt file?
Refund requested. Poor support

Have been using this company for year and it is always a drama when you need to contact customer support.

This time all I needed to do was change my email address as there is no way to do this on their site. What a drama. First they ask me to send the request from the email address, which for some people, may not be available anymore then when I do they then ask me a barrage of questions which are already available on their database.

Doesn't make any sense. I think they are trying to employ pointlessly strict security. I would agree with it if I thought that it was going to protect my account from being stolen.

I will now simply be moving to another provider.

I paid for an SSL cert and did not receive what I paid for. The support is very poor. They do not acknowledge receipt of emails and when there is a response they simply repeat the useless information on their website rather than offering help. AVOID AT ALL COST. THIS IS A SCAM!

Support tickets only possible through email and they do not appear on ticketing system. No one responds. Domains do not validate even when you know they are 100% correct, I have tried all their methods. I have had no response for 8 hours. They are uncontactable by phone. I suggest going somewhere else for your ssl cert

I have used this company for quite some time, 7+ years, and had years of good experience, but recently the support is very poor / non-existent. Like other comments the issue seems to be around regenerating expired certs - i have managed a few but in most cases, I ended up re-purchasing a new cert.

Don't expect any support if anything goes wrong.

Requested a reissue of ssl certificate 7 days ago. I got an auto reply stating a ticket was open. no response. I paid until 2027. No response. Support ticket button does not work This business is now a SCAM. Do not waste your money purchasing your SSL here. You will have problem if you need to reissue your certificate of anything else. This request has been pending for 7 days now.

We have used CheapSSLsecurity.com for over 5 years without an issue. The support level now is non-existent. Despite chasing and chasing there is never a reply.

If you need reliable and good service, look for another supplier - we have!

Used to be good but now shocking with their support..raise a ticket online or email support and you get nothing back, just their automated response.

Would advise to look elsewhere for cheap certs as this is site is one to avoid

Bad support. Takes days/weeks to get response if at all.
Expensive and horrible service.
Avoid at all costs

I needed assistance installing and i payed the extra fee. But good luck getting them to actually get the to support you.
Waited over 6 days and gave up and purchased elsewhere.
Paid cheeper price and got instant support installing and was working in undewr 20 mins

I was apprehensive after reading the reviews here but the price was so good ($30 for 6 years SSL) that it had to be worth a punt, I wasn't disappointed, I received my certificate within minutes as promised!

Never using them again. Horrible service, nothing works after the payment is made, no support response for over 48 hours.

Great prices but utterly useless support!
Used them for a number of years without fault. Recently it’s been impossible to validate a domain, tried to get support, been waiting 3 days now. Ended up buying elsewhere and got my certificate minutes later. Tried to get a refund but heard nothing from them. Avoid!

Every year, for the past several years. we have got one or more SSL certificates from cheapsslsecurity and every year it doesn't work so we contact support, it's always a different "glitch" each time. Their support does sort it out each time, but it's a waste of time having to suffer a "glitch" every year. Every year it's not our fault, it's always a glitch with their system. Why they can't make the system "just work" is puzzling. Our needs are very simple.

May be cheap but mirroring everyone else's experience its probably nice and cheap if it all works, if it doesn't work then there is no point contacting their support as it's non-existent. We use their sister company (the sslstore) who were fine and have online support so decided to try the cheaper option. Needless to say we won't be doing that again - as the saying goes, you get what you pay for......

Beware if you are thinking of buying a DigiCert EV code signing certificate. Once DigiCert send the EV code signing token you will need to contact cheapsslsecurity support to get the initial password for the token. Cheapsslsecurity advertise 24/7 email support on their web site. I sent 10 emails to their support email over 3 days and have yet to have single non-automated response. In the end I had to beg DigiCert support to help me and supply me with the initial password (DigiCert initally quite reasonably directed me to get this from the reseller). In summary, DigiCert were excellent and cheapsslsecurity were terrible, next time I am going to buy directly from DigiCert even if it costs a little more.

Pros: They are cheap and have a good control panel system. If everything works they are great, but...

Cons: Support is utterly useless. They say they have 24/7 email support, but this is completely untrue. You'll be waiting days, perhaps weeks, for a response.

That's appalling.

It's all very well being cheap, but if you can't get any support then any serious customer cannot continue to use them. We manage 100s of sites and have been slowly moving all our business to them but we'll have to find alternatives as I've had two extremely poor experiences and I'm not going to wait for the third.

Shame, as I said, it's a good interface and when it works, it's great. But unless they can sort out the support, this will eventually be the end of them as their reputation will plummet.

Couldn't reissue a certificate after following their instructions and contacted their 24/7 support who took 5 days to respond.

Certificate purchased elsewhere in the end and was issued within 2 minutes. Cheapssl refuse to refund the wasted year of service so ill be sure to never use their service again. Was worth the extra couple of pounds elsewhere to get the product I required vs this poor excuse of a company.

Bad support. Awful choice to get a certificate
