Amazing all the way through our listing and sale
This was the second estate agent we used to sell our house, and the difference was immediately noticeable.
Our initial appointment with Chris was superb, and we felt confident enough to sign with them straight away. Chris and Matt came around very quickly to film the property, and within a week our house was live online. The video was absolutely superb — professional, beautifully filmed and really portrayed our home at its best. They paid attention to every small detail, including things we hadn’t even considered ourselves!
We had a viewing within the first week and then approximately one a month afterwards, which we had been advised about from the outset due to the price bracket of our property and the local market. We did have a quieter period, and when I contacted them, communication, feedback and viewings did falter a little at that point.
There was also one occasion when a viewer failed to arrive. I struggled to get hold of anyone initially as it was a Saturday afternoon, but I left messages for both Pete and Chris. Both called me back quickly, contacted the buyers, and got to the bottom of what had happened. The buyers believed the viewing hadn’t been confirmed, although I had seen the emails from the estate agents confirming it, and thankfully they were eventually able to come and view.
Natalie carried out some of the viewings, and I actually stayed for one of them. I can only praise her professional attitude, warm manner and knowledge of both our house and the local area. She was excellent.
After just five viewings, we received an offer. Matt handled the negotiations between us and the buyers brilliantly, working to ensure both sides were happy. Again, communication was quick, clear and professional.
Once the sale was agreed, Sarah took over — and honestly, I cannot praise this woman highly enough.
Our sale became complicated. We had issues with the boundaries, the buyers unexpectedly went from having no chain to being part of a chain, and then there was the added frustration of the holiday season, with very little communication from solicitors.
This is where Sarah went so far above and beyond.
She contacted both solicitors all the way down the chain, communicated directly with the buyers and kept us regularly updated. On several occasions, she knew what was happening and passed information on to us well before our own solicitors did.
Both my husband and I genuinely felt that, once the sale was agreed, Sarah was the one person who truly had our interests at heart. She took so much of the stress away from us and constantly chased, followed up and kept everything moving.
Our sale ultimately took six months due to the various issues. During this time, we were both resigning from our jobs, purchasing another house and preparing to move to Spain, which involved visas, medicals and, at one point, four sets of solicitors working on different aspects of our move!
Throughout all of this, Sarah was absolutely exceptional. She went above and beyond what we could reasonably have expected and made an incredibly stressful process so much easier for us.
I would not hesitate to recommend Chris Hamridging. Chris made a fantastic first impression, Chris and Matt produced an excellent video, Natalie was brilliant when showing our property, Matt handled the negotiations professionally, and Sarah was quite simply the shining star throughout the sale.
