I have had nothing but positive interactions with Colonial Surety. Customer service is excellent and staff are attentive to questions and/or concerns.

It has been a very long time since I have received customer service as exceptional as what I experienced with Rachel at Colonial Surety.

I was completely unfamiliar with Colonial and the bonding process. I started an application online, but when I reached a point where I had questions and was unsure how to proceed, I decided to call for assistance. Fortunately, Rachel answered the phone.

From the very first conversation, Rachel was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I explained that I had an urgent need for a bond due to a court-imposed deadline, and she immediately took the time to walk me through the process, explain the necessary steps, and let me know that, pending review, the bond could potentially be completed that same day.

Throughout the process, I contacted Rachel several times with additional questions, and every single time she responded with the same level of patience, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help. She never made me feel like I was a burden or that my questions were inconvenient. Instead, she made me feel like my situation mattered.

Later that afternoon, after receiving the bond, I realized there was important information that I had failed to include, which required a correction. I called back (and was so grateful that Rachel answered again) and explained what had happened. Without hesitation, Rachel reassured me that she would help resolve the issue and worked quickly to make sure I received the corrected bond that same day.

At that point, I knew it was very close to the end of the business day. I even commented that I assumed it was probably already close to quitting time. Rachel kindly assured me that their day ended at 5:30. However, when I received the email with the corrected bond, I noticed the time stamp was 5:50 PM. That told me Rachel stayed beyond her normal work hours to make sure my matter was resolved.

Rachel went far beyond simply providing customer service—she provided exceptional care, attention, and reassurance during what was a very stressful situation for me. Her professionalism, compassion, and commitment to helping a customer are truly remarkable.

I sincerely hope Colonial Surety recognizes what an incredible employee they have in Rachel. She is exactly the type of person who builds trust in a company and creates a customer experience that people remember. Colonial is very fortunate to have her as part of their team.

I also want to commend Colonial Surety as a company. The bonding process itself was remarkably straightforward and efficient. In a situation where I was working under a strict court deadline, I was impressed by how accessible and uncomplicated Colonial made the process. Unlike other companies I contacted, which required additional layers of involvement and made the process feel overwhelming, Colonial provided a clear path forward. The ability to complete the application, have the necessary review performed, and receive the bond so quickly was incredibly valuable.

That said, the efficiency of the process was only part of what made this experience exceptional. Having a knowledgeable and compassionate person like Rachel guiding me through it made all the difference.

I had a difficult time finding a local company to issue me a bond in a short period of time due to extenuating circumstances. I finally found Colonial Surety and the process was so easy. Everything was processed online, and they even reached out while I was applying to see if I needed help. Their quote was on par with other companies, but completing the process was so much simpler, everything is explained so clearly online. It was a huge relief to have this process completed efficiently and timely and with helpful staff. I'm really glad I found Colonial Surety. I wanted to make sure I corrected this review. I originally was denied for wrong date on Surety bond. I sent an email and they immediately called me, corrected the issue and sent a new bond!! The best customer service to work with ever!!! Great company!!!
