Cornerstone Removals Reviews 

Have recently had a video survey and quote for moving from Bhav at Cornerstone Removals and was impressed by the professional and friendly service. The quote was competitive and included additional services such as disconnecting washer.

Moving home is a stressful event but the whole removal team, 3 large vans, turned up on time on the day, worked hard and obviously new what they were doing. This included disassembling and reassembly of two large wardrobes. They were all polite and friendly, they did a great job and I never heard one complaint. The only downside is if you need to speak to the organiser/consultant before the actual move, it is an automated phone line and you rarely get through, it’s very frustrating. So my 5 stars and a big thank you is for the removal men but due to the phone system, only 4 for the company.

It’s with real regret that I have to write this review - my move was outstanding to be fair, good pricing (they’ve certainly got a slick sales process), pre move support, good pre move service and lead up to. The actual move was executed well, packing moving staff brilliant, friendly, calm and experts in what they do. Unfortunately a few things got broken and removal service was not carried out, to date I hasten to add!

Having emailed 16 times for reimbursement of broken items and payment that I had to make to remove disposal items, I still have no response and I moved on 8 September. Having pausing £,£££’s I’m out of pocket to the tune of an addition c800. I have been left no choice but to ensure no one else falls foul of the frankly poor aftercare service or lack of. I think this will sadly become legal matter unless they response with a satisfactory resolve

Where do I start!! I feel duped there isn’t an option for 0 stars!! To start, the company gave an oustanding quote! Dismantling of furniture, disconnecting of appliances and removal of window pane to get my couch out. Couldn’t ask for a better quote and it was the cheapest quote of found with another 3 companies. I guess you get what you pay for! I was quoted 4 porters and 2 drivers. I had 1 porter and 2 drivers. They refused to touch my window due to insurance and them not being covered. Again the same excuse for my appliances. I had to enlist the help of a friend to do this. They were taking a very long time packing everything (2 hours behind schedule) and with myself 4 children and 3 pets travelling over 3 hours we had to set off and agreed to meet them at the new house. That was clearly my first mistake. At the other end as soon as the opened the back of one lorry a mirror fell out and smashed. It’s ok, I can handle an accident it’s all good! I watched in horror as the unloaded my tvs not wrapped in blankets as quoted and draws not shrink wrapped. One bloke dropped a box off the back of the lorry on to the road. Boxes were u loaded upside down and myself and 7 year old ended up helping unload the lorry as it was past 7pm and had only finished one. Only two of the 6 items were rebuilt in the bedrooms. Two wardrobes weren’t even dismantled. They couldn’t fit them up the bow leg stairs so left them in my hallway for me to sort. Another handmade three door wardrobe was left in pieces downstairs as they couldnt fit it upstairs without taking apart even more. They snapped my bed leg to which they stapled it back together and added some screws for extra measures 🙄 which they didn’t build up and left me with sciatica sleeping on a mattress on the floor. I had no working cooler or washing machine for 3 days. My living room door was taken off in order to fit the couch which was also left off. I was told when they eventually left at 930pm to expect a phone call the following day to Brooke someone in to finish off the job and not to panic about the wardrobes someone will come. A week later, no one had called no called the company and was told Dave the account manager unavailable and someone will call me back. Over time as I began to unpack I realised that the bolts for the kids swing set was missing. They failed to bring the bag from the old house. I also had a shelf missing, my teenage daughters box missing with her fire stick and other belongings, her tv had a huge crack in it, the handmade wardrobe was split in several places making it near impossible to build one I did manage to get it upstairs. I was also missing two big bags of firewood and when questioned, it turned out the removal guys gave them to the tip man I had booked at the same time. Once I had logged an official complaint the very slow claims process began. Every time I called for an update I was told the claims manager and account manager was unavailable even though they never checked. They even refused to answer my calls so I used another phone to which they answered. When I told them I knew they were avoiding my calls they said they only answered my phone call as they thought I was a new customer 😯 at the beginning Dave wouldn’t leave me alone requesting a deposit or full payment. As soon as payment was made no one was available to speak to me. Anyway, after three counter offers for small compensations, I declined and accepted there last offer. They told me this would be paid in my account by the end of the week. This was 3/11/23. No payment made. When I called today to ask where it was they’re ohkne lines no longer work. I have done some digging and it turns out they have moved. I have their new details and have sent them letter requesting payment before I take action through the civil courts. Happy to share their new company name and address I’m yet to get a contact number for them. Horrible people with a crappy service. I will add though, one of the removal guys came back the day after I moved with his gf to help with the things the company failed to do

Helpful advice from the advisor who dealt with my query (Bhav) and offered a discount. I didn’t use the company as I found a more competitive quote locally. All processes explained clearly and he was happy to provide examples of how the service worked.

Paulo, Robert, Frank, Thiago, and Clebson were fantastic. Friendly, polite, efficient and fast, they handled a difficult move extremely well. In a few cases we had old pieces that wouldn't fit up the stairs, and these were taken completely apart and then put together again, sometimes in better working order than before. They "went the extra mile" to solve all the little unexpected problems that crop up with every move. Definitely great service.

We were un eased from the start as the quote was done via video call.

We decided to give cornerstone a chance and went ahead. We paid £50 deposit a good 4 weeks prior to our move date. Each week a member of staff phoned me to confirm our move date & to reassure that they had our move booked. I phoned them the Friday before our Monday move & all again was confirmed. Our move date arrived and the crew didn’t show up at the agreed slot 8-10am. Naturally we phoned the number we had & for an hour we had no answer. We had to leave our home by 12.30. This was the most stressful hour of our lives. Eventually cornerstone phoned us back and said there had been a glitch in their system & our job hadn’t been given to the crew. Paula assured me a
Crew would be with us by 1230 and apologised on more than one occasion. The crew did turn up, did the job well but the uncertainty before they attended was awful and not what we needed on moving day. We did get a reduction on our final balance.

Not the crews fault.

Cornerstone we hope you learn by this and nobody else has to experience the same stress we did.

Bhav took me through the process and I got a quote Within 20 minutes. Really easy to understand and Bhav was polite and courteous and could answer any question I had.

Samuel and Mariano helped pack the whole house, no hassle, friendly people. would recommend this service!
