A year ago, I was sweating in the Walmart parking lot, pushing carts and dealing with angry customers. Today, I'm working a comfortable help desk job making $50K a year- no degree, no prior tech experience.

Here's how it actually went down:

This course is really helpful. I started looking into Accounting on my own before this course and there is so much ground to cover. I like the structure this class gives covering entry level and providing you with lots of examples to cover different methods (accrual vs cash) to ensure you have each method down. The quizzes are also helpful to show me what I need to go back and review. So glad I found this course! Thank you Terrell!

The tech sales course at CourseCareers is very informative. The course provides the required knowledge needed to break into the tech industries. The course I took did a good job of making the career I wanted seem more "real". I've done independent studying to get other certifications and while independent studying helps give you technical skills, its hard to get a grasp of what the work itself would look like. The course presented all of the soft skills required to both seek a job and then work that job in the industry I wanted.

All Meat and No Fillers or Fluff - just what you need !

The course was very thorough and provided an excellent foundation for entering the Tech Sales field. The final exam was comprehensive, challenging, yet manageable for the prepared.

All I know is that I went from knowing nothing about IT to mastering its foundations, and it's been an enjoyable experience. I do not regret taking the course because now I want to continue developing my career as a Technician. I went from working dead-end sales jobs to having a real career that I can take to working on a Corporate level for any company and/or any industry. If you're like me, tired of not making enough or don't know what to expect, especially if you have a family you want to take care of, I will go all in on this cause people are getting results. Don't feed into what everyone is saying about IT is dead or it's hard getting a job, all that noise is just coming from people who aren't willing to go the extra mile. And that's what will make the difference between you and those that want it to come easy (which doesn't happen). Got to put in the work every day, cause all it takes is one. Once you land that first job, then the rest will be easy.

Great instructor and easy to comprehend subjects

It's a comprehensive course that gives all information needed to begin a career as an sdr. There is also opportunity for coaching and helping one another through discord. Overall the value is there for anyone willing to do the work.

Course Careers over-delivered what they said they would. Their sales course was much more solid than I thought, and as a result, I learned the skills that took multiple people and multiple years to acquire. I purchased the IT Course after doing Tech Sales & Data Analytics, mini courses. I wanted to see which one would be a better career change for me. I have a background in Healthcare and just needed a change. However, I enjoyed the hands on labs and videos. I felt it was very informative. I also appreciated the quizzes after each section before getting to the labs. This course is about retention, rather memorization which is also good if you want to be an SME(subject matter expert) in your perspective field. I also took a cybersecurity course before this one and I feel like I have a better understanding how the IT world works and how it all comes together.

I purchased an UX UI Design course 2 months ago and almost completed. I only have positive words so far. I did a lot of research to find a course that was affordable, online and still interactive.
Antony makes it easy to follow and he's always entertaining, besides showing a lot of experince in what he's teaching. Thanks to the Discord platform, you can also interact with other people who are taking the same course so you don't feel alone even if it's a recorded course.
I am very happy I purchased this course and I had a great experience since the first moment I started it!

This is my honest and unbiased review of the CourseCareers Accounting course.

They state that the entire Accounting course will take 1-4 months to complete. I finished the entire program in 1 week. The Accounting course is about 10 hours worth of video in total. It should not take you long to complete the program if you're diligent.

The course material is very basic information. Their pitch is that this information is enough to get you an entry-level position. Maybe. The instructor clearly states that they remove all the "fluff" and give you what you need. To be quite honest, the information provided in the course can all be had for absolutely FREE on YouTube and other sources. The information is lackluster at best. You certainly don't need to spend $499 for the privilege.

For example, in the Accounting Systems module, I expected to learn how to use accounting software, like Quickbooks Online. The instructor just briefly goes over the different accounting software platforms that are out there. You will not learn how to use them in this course. Total waste of time. You can learn how to use Quickbooks Online for FREE if you're interested in Bookkeeping, for example. This is a much more valuable skill than anything you will learn in CourseCareers.

After you finish the core course there is a section on Careers. This is another complete waste of time section. For example, if you know anything remotely about how to use a computer you're good to go. The LinkedIn module is completely useless, as is the resume module. If you don't know how to create a LinkedIn profile, there are hundreds of YouTube videos on how to do it. Yep, all completely FREE. Need help with your resume, you guessed it, you can create a great Accounting resume for FREE.

People think if they purchase something it is something of value. This isn't always the case. There is absolutely no value here for what you are spending. Do a little research and learn this stuff for FREE. It's not rocket science. For example, you can learn Bookkeeping for FREE from various sources. The Bookkeeping module in the course is a complete waste of time, as are the other career paths for that matter. I learned 10X the Bookkeeping skills I need to get a job, yes, again I learned for FREE.

Let's talk about the Final Exam. This is where they get you. You only have a 14-day window to request a refund if you are dissatisfied with the course. Like I said, I completed the entire course in 1 week and took the Final Exam. Lo and behold, I failed the first attempt at the Final. They give you two FREE chances to pass the Final Exam. After that, if you do not pass or are dissatisfied with your score, you will need to hand over $50 per attempt. It took them 2+ days to grade my first attempt at the Final Exam. Why is this important? It eats into your 14-day refund window, provided you complete the program quickly. I took the Final Exam again and it took them another 2+ days to return my results. I passed, but the grade was not satisfactory to me. By this time I had exceeded the 14-day window by 2 days. Per their policy, you are not eligible for a refund at that point.

If you pass the Final Exam you are granted access to the Graduate portal. This is where you can create a profile and upload your resume. Supposedly, employers can access the portal and view your profile and resume. Keep in mind, that they will also have access to your Final Exam score, your verbal answers to the questions, and answers to the multiple-choice questions. So if you failed a lot of the verbal questions or your score is low, it may not be worth your while to create a profile. This is completely up to the student. Before you take the Final Exam, they clearly state that you should score high on the exam. I'm not sure what your chances are of landing an actual job through CourseCareers if you don't.

So that's the entire program in a nutshell. Do yourself a favor and pass on CourseCareers. I understand they have a lot of great reviews, but these reviews are mostly of their programs other than Accounting. I cannot speak to their other programs. That was one of the main reasons I chose to give it a shot. But in the end, all the information you will gain from this program can be learned for absolutely FREE. There is nothing of substance here.

Perhaps the certification you get is worth it for some students, and maybe even some get a job through the platform. It would be interesting to know what their success rate is among their students.
