I have just received my Global Talent visa, and I owe it to the Cranbrook Legal team.

As an AI engineer in industry, I knew several colleagues who had obtained the Global Talent visa through the Tech Nation route. With an Exceptional Promise endorsement on that route, you become eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after five years. I assumed that was my path as well, but Liam Baker pointed out that my profile also qualified me for the peer review route, the research-based track. On this route, you can apply for ILR after just three years, even with an Exceptional Promise endorsement. In other words, a significantly stronger visa.

So here’s the reality: after an initial call from a junior clerk about my sponsorship application, I was told a senior specialist would contact me the next day — that never happened. I’ve chased them around five times since, and every time I was promised a call-back that never came. The phone line is just a call-centre loop where you have to repeat everything from scratch.

On top of that, it’s clear they outsource the work to ad-hoc immigration advisers they don’t seem to control, which makes the whole setup even less trustworthy. Overall, a deeply unprofessional firm and absolutely not one I’d rely on for anything sensitive.
