No joy for sellers either
No joy for sellers either. Their extremely high fees, lack of transparency and shorted payouts have been an issue. If you reach out to customer service they can’t give any direct answers to when things will get fixed or address payout concerns. They have had no communication about issues with sellers and it’s been up to us to bring them up and I doubt they would have even addressed this had we not investigated it on our own and brought it up to them. As crappy a service as it is for customers it’s even worse for sellers.
I paid for a digital gift card, got nothing
I paid for a digital gift card. They failed to deliver a digital gift card...I haven't received help for a digital gift card. They literally can't even deliver an email to someone much less a subscription. No customer service, no support. Do not purchase from CrateJoy. If it isn't a scam its hard to tell it apart from one.

I would give them 0 stars. I ordered a gift subscription and none of the orders were received. I can’t seem to find a way to cancel the subscription (even using the instructions they give). There is zero customer service… no phone number to call just email with an automated response. I would never use this company.

I would give this company 0 stars. The product was terrible and I was automatically signed up for a subscription which I would never want! I bought a 3 month subscription for a gift! I would never had signed up for another 3 months.. if I had wanted 6 months, I would have signed up for 6 months! No way to cancel or talk to any customer service representative! Do not buy anything from them!
Took my money and I never received anything
I ordered a book subscription for my daughter. They charged my card, sent an email saying the shipment was sent, the tracking number says Shipment Not Found, and the seller is no longer on Cratejoy. Customer service is a joke, no response through chat or email. I cancelled but I don't get a refund, they just tell me I'll stop getting books at the end of the subscription year, but I never received any of the books.

They tell you to contact the seller, but you can’t find out who the seller is or how to contact them. It’s a complete joke! Don’t do it!

I ordered a book club for my daughter. They have been saying it will arrive in 5 days. Their link to a bot never results in any reply from the bot or the company. Well Christmas is over and the “shipper” says 5 days. 😩 I’m thinking of figuring out how I paid them and contact my credit card about it.

I'm a top seller that's been on there for 5+ years and every day there's something new and horrible. Their "engineers" don't know what they're doing. I won't get into the long list of complaints. Save your time and money. This platform BLOWS.
changed my single order to subscription, can't say when they'll deliver
(1) I specifically ordered a single box, not a subscription. I confirmed this before paying and confirming the order. After this, CrateJoy immediately ADDED AN OPEN-ENDED SUBSCRIPTION TO MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION.
(2) I need a delivery date, and they told me to use the "Contact Seller" option on the item page. There is no such option. Now they stopped responding to me. Apparently there are businesses with crappier service than Amazon, since they can always estimate third-party deliveries.

Purchased 3 subscription boxes from Cratejoy. Accepted the payment have had not heard another word from them. Tried to contact them through their website, they did not respond to my initial request after the robot types "how can I help you".
I paid for a year subscription
I paid for a year subscription, and have only received 2 monthly shipments out of 13, because I was to receive a free shipment. Cratejoy unformed me I have been canceled, and that the store is closed. Difficult to find how to resolve my situation.
No fullfillment of subscription and no help from Cratejoy
I ordered a year subscription for a quarterly box of knitting supplies from KnitWise. I received two boxes. They then notified me that they were going out of business but promised to fulfill my subscription. I have not received anymore merchandise or the return of my money. I've written KnitWise twice and Cratejoy as well. Neither have responded to my emails.
Scam
Avoid at all costs. Was not delivered what was advertised and there is no customer support or response. They already charged our credit card and got their money so what do they care.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Cratejoy, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. I purchased a gift box for my wife's birthday on September 8th, only to discover that Cratejoy relies on vendors for their products, which was not clearly disclosed during the purchase process.
The real shocker came when I found out that the vendor responsible for my order only ships between the 24th and the end of each month. This means that my wife's birthday gift, intended for September 8th, won't arrive until much later. What's worse, neither Cratejoy nor the vendor provides a customer service number for order issues, leaving customers like me in the dark and unable to resolve problems efficiently.
In the end, I had no choice but to request an immediate cancellation and a refund. I expected a more customer-centric experience from Cratejoy, but this ordeal left me deeply unsatisfied.
I strongly advise caution when considering Cratejoy for your gift-giving needs. My experience has been nothing short of a letdown, and I hope my review serves as a warning to others.

Cratejoy is a pretty unique online company. You can buy all sorts of things for family and friends. Gabriel Culiat will definitely recommend them. I had multiple purchases arrive in a timely fashion
Don’t purchase from Cratejoy
I ordered a book gift box with coffee. It was supposed to be two hard cover books, an ebook and a nice coffee. When it arrived it was two used books. 1 was soft cover. The hard cover was sticky with sticky pages and one page had written in pencil on it about the books damages from 11/2018. There is no ebook information anywhere from them. And the bag of coffee looks to have been used. I paid for gift wrap and the only gift wrap was a crinkled up red tissue paper with a random sucker in it. When the person I sent it to opened it they thought it was a joke. I was completely embarrassed. Cratejoy is a scam. I have contacted them twice now with no response. I asked how to send it back so I could get a refund. And nothing. It’s interesting that Cratejoy comes up on all these lists of good gifts to buy. They must pay to have people say that. My experience was very similar to everyone else that wrote a review here. Please save yourself the headache and don’t buy anything from them. It appears to be a scam business.
Bad Cratejoy experience
I ordered 3 shipments of health and wellness boxes to go to my daughter while she was at NYU getting her master's degree. None of the shipments were even processed. I was charged for the whole order. I tried countless times to contact the seller and Cratejoy to no avail. Very disappointed. I will never buy from this company.

I paid in full for my Grand daughter's books for 12 months for a Christmas present. She has only gotten one set. I have emailed numerous times and have gotten no response. There is no phone number to call.

Scam Operation
I ordered the diabetic treat box as a present in March of 2023. I ordered 1 box a month for 3 months. Suddenly, in May, I received emails from Cratejoy stating my orders for the gentleman's box and the gadget box had been received. I hadn't ordered these. My credit card was billed. I called and emailed multiple times, spoke with multiple people and cancelled my credit card, but the emails stating that the order was on the way kept coming. The person who is ordering is Luis Luza Mancillac, whom I don't know. Needless to say, don't order from Cratejoy.
2 subscriptions, and they both suck
I ordered two different subscriptions as Christmas gifts. My father gets the same spices every month, despite being a spice from around the world variety pack. It’s supposed to be a different experience each month!
I also got the same theme as snack for my brother. 6 months of getting the exact same box each month, no variety. The only thing different was an unmarked foil bag each month. No clue what it’s supposed to be. Each month my brother reported it was something that smelled like fish, but was a different color from previous month.
You cannot review cratejoy on Google. You cannot get support from cratejoy. They tell you to speak to the vendors and the vendors never answer. Cratejoy takes no responsibility for the vendors on their platform.
A crazy waste of money and embarrassing gifts to give.
