CrewFiction has been one of the most attentive and supportive platforms I’ve worked with as an author. The team is incredibly responsive—you’re not navigating a system alone; you’re actually working with people who care about your success.

The platform itself is impressive, especially as an all-in-one space for author websites, newsletters, and reader connections. It’s intuitive and clearly designed with authors in mind.

That said, it is still in the early-growth phase in some areas. There are features I’m excited to see continue to evolve. Overall, what stands out is how quickly the team listens, adapts, and improves.

CrewFiction shows a tremendous amount of promise. If you’re looking for a platform that’s growing with its authors—and truly values feedback—it’s absolutely worth being part of.

CrewFiction’s webpage and newsletter builder is so easy to use that I actually had to adjust to its simplicity! At this time, I’m keeping my main website because it’s robust and has some features that CrewFiction doesn’t support (yet). Still, for any author wanting to set up (or revamp) a web presence and grow their MOST IMPORTANT marketing tool: your newsletter, with minimal work, close to zero tech skills, and not a lot of time to invest, CrewFiction is the resource you need!



I’m also so impressed by how they keep adding new features (and will continue to do so), often in response to “wish lists” from their authors, and by how they personally respond to your questions. (You actually talk with the CrewFiction team, not only bots.) Best of all, the service comes with built-in author swaps and promotion for your books (that CrewFiction organizes and creates). I can’t say enough good things about my experience with CrewFiction so far, and I’m excited about growing the next levels of my author business with them.

I love this service. As an author, they make is so easy, and the ecosystem of readers they’ve created brings so many new people I wouldn’t have reached with out them. The creators are receptive and responsive. I feel like I’m part of a team, and that’s so nice when you’re an indie author.

This company has incredible customer service. This is a start-up company with great 1:1 interaction. The team is there via chat and email and even Google Meet to answer any questions and walk you through steps for setting up your page. They want you to succeed and I'm thrilled to be an author on their platform.

Crewfiction is easy to use, and the support from staff is wonderful! I wish it had more features, such as Author Appearances and a Blog, but I understand these elements are to be added soon, and I look forward to when that happens. It's also inexpensive, and as a small business (author) owner, saving money is important.

They provide personalized author websites, newsletter tools, and easy subscriber management all in one place, making it simple to build and connect with your audience.

They offer webinars with successful authors for training and insight, and when you have a question, you can actually speak to a real person. You can even schedule one-on-one video calls with one of the founders, which is rare and incredibly helpful.

I really love CrewFiction!

I tried them out hoping to be able to replace my current underwhelming links link. I was super excited as well to replace my email marketing product.

In the end, I kicked MailerLite to the curb and got rid of my overpriced web "builder" that did very little.

For a mid-list author or a new author, this can probably replace your newsletter and links page. It allowed me to split my two subgenre sites, using this alone as my website with my domain for one of my subgenres and redirecting to a canva site for the other. While the service costs, it's still about half the cost of these two subscriptions.

If you need a lot of automations or a big marketing engine, this isn't there yet, but I chose to focus on growing my list for an affordable price with none of the headaches.

Can it replace bookfunnel? Theoretically. But if you have a ton of reader magnets, there isn't enough space in this yet. You can only have one reader magnet at the time. That said, the interface is about 100 times easier for readers to use and much more attractive (especially on mobile devices). So, I still have bookfunnel. But for authors with fewer books, you can run 1 arc and 1 magnet at a time.

I use it to run my main reader magnet (free book) and it has helped me grow my list about about 200 subscribers in a couple of months with no additional work.

In the world of author services, I rarely go a week without being pitched something new. 90% of the services seem to be built to serve the developer, not authors. CrewFiction is part of the 10% that blew me away.

Sam met with me and my community to answer questions about the way CrewFiction supports authors and to ask us for feedback. Within a week his development team had implemented several our suggestions and requests. Within a month, they'd gone even deeper.
