It has taken a long time for me to get to the point of having breast reduction surgery, from not being taken seriously years ago. I saved hard and did some serious thinking to make sure the whole thing was right for me. I then went for an initial consultation with Mr Macdonald and I am so pleased I did.
Having a consultant that not only listens and understands but also is checking you are doing it for the right reasons is reassuring.
His kind and gentle manner made me feel at ease straight away, explaining everything as I went along.
I have not stopped smiling since I woke up from the operation. The ease of weight on my neck and shoulders was instantaneous.
I could not be happier with the result and I know 100% that I made the right decision and I am looking forward to a much more confident future.

I went to see Mr Chris Macdonald for a consultation with regard to having my implants removed, followed immediately by a breast uplift. The Purity Bridge Clinic is a very welcoming place. Comfortable, calming background music, coffee if you would like. Mr Macdonald's secretary is warm, friendly and very efficient. I did not have to wait very long at all for my operation after which all went very well. Mr Macdonald is a very talented surgeon indeed. He has a lovely manner and takes time to explain everything allowing time for all of your questions. I have experienced very little post op pain and I am very pleased with the outcome. Follow-up appointments are provided wherein peace of mind is given for any minor queries you might have during the healing process. 10/10. Pauline Howard.

Dr Chris was very calm and explained clearly what was going to happen. It happened as he said it would. And I got to choose the music as the procedure was being done! That’s cool 😎. I was skipping the nhs queue for the procedure as I couldn’t wait 6-8 months. I wanted to skip the histology on economic grounds. Dr Chris said I must do it to check everything was gone. It’s as well it was done as he requested as they found it was a different skin cancer to the one identified originally. Can unreservedly recommend Dr Chris and his team

I thought about the surgery I wanted for a full year before speaking to anyone about it, I wanted to make sure it was a decision I was making for the right reasons. I did my research on potential surgeons and arranged an initial consultation with Mr Macdonald towards the end of 2022.
One thing that really stood out for me, was that I never felt rushed or that any question was a silly question, I had a lot of queries and concerns I wanted to go through and they were always answered with great detail and thought. I never felt any pressure to make a decision and knew if any more questions popped into my head I could go back again to get answers. Leila, Mr Macdonald’s Secretary was also extremely friendly and helpful throughout every step of the process.

My procedure went ahead in January 2023 and I received the best possible care under Mr Macdonald and the team. I could not be happier with the results, even just four weeks on. It has improved my confidence and mood more than I could have hoped. I have had impeccable follow up care and would absolutely recommend Mr Macdonald to any of my friends or family and he would be my absolute number one choice if there was ever any other procedures I wanted to consider. Thank you to the entire team for making a big decision so easy.
