I always book with Jamie and his team, i had a question about luggage with Princess Cruises as its the first time cruising with them next month, normally go with P and O.
I emailed the question to the admin team, Leah answered almost straight away, with screen shots and instructions and confirmations. This is exactly why i only book with an agent and when you have a good one, keep booking with them. Great service, thank you!

I would definitely recommend cruise direct to anyone thinking of booking a cruise. Site is easy to navigate you can get quotes without having to phone. Booking was so simple a special shout out to Marian who was my consultant knowledgeable and professional even was there to help with the check in process. I hope they appreciate her as much as we did. I would definitely use again.

Booked a cruise with these company.

Firstly I asked for a room with a sofabed. That was my only stipulation, wasn’t too bothered about a balcony room as long as it had a sofa that could be used as a bed at night for my daughter.
Unfortunately that wasn’t what I got! I did even find a cheaper quote than cruise direct, however I went with these because I thought they were a reputable company.

So in the end I pay more money for a room I didn’t ask for!!! Definitely won’t recommend or use again!!!!

Very disappointed only been on here for 1 hour and already had enough! Never mind after spending nearly £3600 for something that’s already upset my family members.

I simply can not find words to describe what a clown show this company is. A complete disaster. They take your money, book a cruise...then say you owe £1,000 more than what you have paid.

People with IQs that can't be above 70 then contact you with jumbled, irrational emails that would make no sense if written by a 5 year old child.

Expect dishonesty, incompetence, and disappointment.

Rang on Sunday 28th with the aim of booking a Caribbean Cruise the were advertising in November kn Norwegian Escape. Took all details. I was told Norwegian Cruise Line system was down, but he'd get back to me in an hour or so. Nothing. Rang again today (31st) 11 am first was told no record of my call, then he found it. No attempt to resolve problem, said I need to speak to original agent. Was put in hold. Then told he'd ring me shortly, Nothing. Rang again 15.40, where, within 4 minutes was told no flights from Scotland available on that day. What a waste of time

I wish I had read the reviews before we booked! The agent was great in the beginning, but when the cruise company changed flights, and we asked for a refund, they insisted it was 'out of their hands.' However, it was Cruise Direct that took the payment. Both companies now trying to dodge responsibility. Neither deserves to be trusted.

Booked a cruise through them online so no direct input from them except provision of the booking system. They did forward some of the notifications from the cruise line, generally a few days after I had received them direct and seen the information elsewhere online.
I had only one simple query for them, which I emailed them about and received no reply. Emailed again a week later, still no reply. Eventually I phoned them on Fri 2 Sep 22 because the sail date was only just over a week away.
Zoe told me she would check into it and call me back, either that day or probably on Mon 5 Sep 22.
I am still waiting, 4 weeks later - and a week after I returned home from the cruise.
It's just as well it was something I was able to get answered elsewhere. It certainly did not give me any confidence that they would ever be able to deal with anything urgent.

My cruise was due to set sail 3 May booked through Barrhead travel a subsidiary of cruise direct. It is now 29 June! Despite emailing on numerous occasions and confirmation stating they would make contact within 28 days - I have not Even been notified by this company that my cruise was CANCELLED!!!! I know people are composing they have not received refunds etc But this is beyond a disgrace. I had two other trips planned and those companies have contacted me to either cancel or rearrange. This must be THE WORSE travel agent ever.

We booked a Viking cruise in January 2019 for April 2020 to celebrate my mother’s retirement and Father's approaching 70th birthday. The cruise was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic on 12th March 2020. It is now 28th April and we have not received a penny back from Cruise Direct. Their phone lines are closed and they are not answering their emails. I understand this is a difficult time but give people their money back! Cruise Direct are part of Barrhead Travel.

I have now managed to recoup my part of the cruise from my credit card company. My parents are pensioners and have saved for a year for this cruise. They paid their half separate to mine and have not been able to get their part of the money back yet. This is causing them a great deal of stress. Barrhead Travel, shame on you!

Sister company to Barrhead Travel - Shocking Service. Never ever will I use these guys.

We made a booking in October 2019 for a river cruise in April 2020 which is now cancelled because of coronavirus and we are requesting a refund. However emails are not answered, phone calls goon permanent hold and they are not giving us any information for days on end. We cannot afford to be four thousand pounds out of pocket at this difficult time but it seems that Cruise Direct simply do not care and want to hold on to our money. This is not right and who would ever want to deal with such a company again?
