Victorian choices and helpful service
Popped in on the search for victorian look encaustic floor tiles for my hallway and white options for my bathroom walls. So much choice, much more than other independent stores in Ipswich and better value than Topps Tiles. Great service, from knowledgeable blonde lady suggesting multiple options. Happy to order me in a sample of the floor tile, no trouble... Collecting after bank holiday. Excited!! Thanks CTD.

Appalling service
We visited the Ipswich store on Monday to purchase floor tiles.As we entered we were not acknowledged.A gentleman was on the phone and a lady was at the back.We approached the lady and asked her what she had which matched the sample we had brought with us.Her answer was :”it’s everywhere look around.”She made us feel as we were interrupting her so we looked around for at least 5 minutes and still no help was offered and no acknowledgment from the gent who was now off the phone.As it was clear our custom was not wanted we decided to leave and made a purchase at Tile stone where the service was fantastic and we spent £1500.I would not recommend CTD tiles.

We wanted to use CTD in Ipswich... but...
We wanted to use CTD in Ipswich, but it seems they didn't want our custom.
All was going well at first, with some lovely sample tiles ordered. And then the downward slope came. They didn't call to let us know I could collect the samples.
Anyway, I called them, I collected the samples, and we agreed on which tiles we wanted.
I then went to CTD and started the order, but I wanted to not pay VAT, as is allowed by the government for when a bathroom, for example, is being replaced for use by a disabled person. It's a simple process, but the staff at CTD were not aware of the process.
They said the manager was away, he would know about it, call next day.
Next day, I called, and this minor issue still hadn't been sorted. Ok, I said, can I speak to the manager to ask him directly? No, he's busy, he'll call you back.
And guess what? He didn't. At all.
We went elsewhere, the VAT-free process was laughably simple, and CTD lost out on a sale and any future business from us. Such a shame.
