Crooks who obstruct customers exercising their legal rights
Every aspect of my experience with Daals has been incredibly stressful:
Delivery: Daals claim to give you 24 hours notice of delivery. What they actually do is send you a text in the middle of the day before they are planning to send you your order giving you 1.5 hours to cancel in the middle of the working day and threaten you with charging for delivery if you're not in. I called them as soon as I was able to within the working day - an hour and 20 minutes after they text - as I had a long-standing hospital appointment and wouldn't be in. They said it was too late (they'd given me less that two hours to reschedule ) and that I would be charged if I wasn't in. We ended up having to have family members rearrange their plans to sit in our house to accept delivery so we could attend our hospital appointment because of how unreasonably inflexible Daals were.
Returns: We ordered what we thought was some new dark wood furniture for our living room - when it arrived and we opened the box, it was cheap MDF wood with a dark wood plastic lacquer that was scratched and poorly glued together. We requested a refund on the basis that the items were defective. What ensued was a week of backwarding and forwarding from an array of different customer service representatives, none of whom would confirm that we could return the defective goods or would book a collection for us. We called repeatedly and not a single person would give us a straightforward answer about their returns process. At least five different customer representatives asked me to send photos, which I did, and then claimed they couldn't view them when, in their reply to me, forwarded back to me all the photos that I'd sent them in my previous email which they claimed they couldn't see! I had another Daals' employee email me with a product spec and asked me to unpack all the boxes again and specify - using their coding system - exactly which parts of each product were defective, in spite of another Daals' employee (eventually) confirming that the photos I'd sent were sufficient.
It took a whole week for someone to confirm that our defective items would be collected and gave us a ten day window for collection - which they failed to meet. Three weeks later and we are still awaiting collection - we have emailed and called Daals almost daily requesting our money back and at every turn their responses have been deliberately obstructive and intentionally designed to prevent us exercising our legal rights to return faulty goods. Today, my husband asked to speak to a manager and requested a copy of the recording of the call - the Daals' adviser put him on hold for 35 minutes before coming back on to say that there was no manager he could talk to. When my husband said that he was happy to wait, the Daals' representative said that she was terminating the call and hung up on him!!
I honestly cannot stress enough that you should NEVER order from these crooks. Their products are low quality and their customer service is corrupt and unlawful. Their behaviour has caused us a month of totally unnecessary stress and we are still no closer in getting our £500 back from them, in spite of our best efforts and willingness to return the goods to them.
They also seem to be operating illegally on Trustpilot as they are currently trading under daals.co.uk and daals.com - please do yourself a favour and read the customer experiences on the daals.com Trustpilot profile from UK customers, you will see a pattern of treatment of customers that reads exactly like what I've described above.
Their Glassdoor reviews from their own employees state that they 'treat the customer like the enemy' - this is very much my experience of dealing with this company.
I really hope this review spares someone else having to go through what we have experienced.

I wish I had taken the time to read some of the reviews here before making an order with this company. We ordered a sofa in October 2023 which arrived faulty (the back on one side collapses and does not click with the other being a sofa bed) plus the sofa is ROCK hard to sit on. Firstly the delivery company left it in my hallway and refused to bring it in any further leaving me no choice but to hire a handyman to lift it with me as it was too heavy. The sofa arrived tightly packaged so we had to cut the box open in order to unpack. Once assembled and realising the faults I contacted Daals (within the 14 day requirement to return) I had an email back requesting I return the sofa which has to be in its original packaging however - the original box was no longer useable. I emailed back to ask for another way to box/wrap the item and never heard back. I continued calling the company and no response. The sofa remains currently boxed and packaged waiting for collection however Daals are now saying because it’s outside of the 14 days return period they can only exchange the item?! So because they don’t respond that is somehow my fault?? Months later and I am still back and forth having to explain the situation to several different advisors as my complaint is passed around. Stay away from this company it is not worth it!!!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
Good design but low quality materials and defects
This company is churning out well-designed but poorly made furniture with hardboard and chip board and 'plastic' veneers being the mainstay of a number of pieces I bought, a number with manufacturing faults. Chips and Splits. There are a very high number of positive reviews for most items on the DAALs own site. Which is at odds with Trust Pilot. Draw your own conclusions. On the plus side I made a number of orders and they all arrived on time. I like the look of them...they were okay to build...but don't expect them to last heavy wear and don't expect them to feel like high quality items.

Don’t use them
I would give them a 0 if I could. I bought a dressing table from daal, the drawers do not go in so I contacted customer services on the 17th, it is still not resolved despite calling several times, asking for a manager to call back 4 days ago and still nothing. Do not buy from here, if it goes wrong, they just don’t care. Appalling customer service.
Update- still waiting, it’s been 10 days and still no one has come back to me with a resolution or an update with the problem. Please don’t use them, I’m sure it’s great if it all works but it is awful when it gives wrong. Pls look at the negative reviews first before buying.
Non existent quality control
I placed an order for two Anya bedside tables. The delivery was quick but one of them arrived damaged. I contacted customer services immediately and they agreed to send out a replacement part. That part arrived quickly but was in even worse condition than the first. Again I contacted customer services and they agreed to send out another. Again this replacement arrived in poor condition covered in manufacturing defects and scratches. They’ve offered me a 30% discount to keep the original damaged table. Total unacceptable, why should I have to live with a damaged item because of their total lack of quality control.

I would give a zero if I could. paid extra to have a bed delivered the next day but it arrived three days later, there was no communication and left to be waiting all day for it , messaged and emailed them a few times with no reply. In the end had to ring a dozen times before we got through to someone. Once delivered i asked the guys to take it up to the bedroom for me because it’s heavy, they refused and said it’s against company policies and not insured to do that. The company is unethically full of false advertising and the service is definitely non existent.

We had a large amount of furtirure ordered last year and had problems with 2 items and even though its under 12 month warranty, the customer serivce department are just not interested in helping us fix the issue or return the item or any help at all. I wanted to order more stuff with them but I will NEVER order again.

Really bad. Do not order from them, I ordered a table and was told it would be delivered and it was not delivered. Did not offer anything for the inconvenience and told it will be delivered a week later. No dispatch updates no communication to say it’s out for delivery.
Horrible customer service
We initially paid for express delivery and made it very clear to customer services that we wouldn’t be able to receive our parcel at the weekend as we weren’t going to be in and there was nowhere the items could be left.
We were then informed that the delivery was being attempted on Sunday and when we had to reschedule this meant the delivery would have been after the 5 working day express delivery period.
We were told that we wouldn’t be refunded our £30 express delivery fee as this was company policy even though this isn’t made clear anywhere on the site.
The position after we requested a reschedule is that this goes back to the planning team and we haven’t been provided with any sort of understanding of when we will receive our items.
Customer service is very much “computer says no” and there was zero flexibility which is incredibly disappointing after paying £1500.
Be very careful when ordering with this company, the communication is extremely poor and confusing and the customer service is horribly inflexible.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...Took delivery of 8 dining chairs 6 weeks ago. First chair was clearly damaged pre packaging at the factory. Contacted Daals who asked if we could unpack and assemble the remaing 7 which we did, each taking an hour to unpack and assemble. All 8 had a fault or damage and Daals asked for a photograph of each fault. After 3 weeks they asked for a video of each fault which was supplied. Now after 6 weeks of being unable to use the goods we have been offered a paltry 20% off, and on one chair which was stained we asked if we could simply have that part replaced, we could but that would mean the discount would be removed. Have today been informed that the 20% refund will take up to 14 business days so in all we will have wasted 9-10 weeks. Embarrassing and shameful customer service from this company, I would assume that the goods are shipped direct from a manufacture because no decent, honest company would send out goods clearly damaged at the factory.

The customer service team are really awful people, no empathy no understanding and apparently no one else to talk to. I have no idea what the interview criteria is for the people who work for this company but there training is in how to rip people off and leave them out of pocket.

I am disappointed in myself after seeing an increase in people on instagram tagging this furniture company, I didn’t do any research.
Poor quality but worst of all is the customer service. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I cancelled my order after so many errors there side with the incorrect address being used (despite 7 attempts to change it) the order just kept coming!!! So did the invoices for £30 delivery changes!! Currently awaiting a refund after 4 weeks of emails and phones being hung up on me!
This company is morally bankrupt
This company is morally bankrupt. I would strongly advise against buying any products from this company. The 2 pieces of furniture we ordered were not delivered before the stated date and then they tried to charge us £30 to reschedule the delivery when their van broke down.
After waiting 10 days for their ‘planning team’ to give us a new delivery date my wife was unable to agree to it on the phone before the deadline of 3pm they gave us. They had her mobile number and were talking to her over email but her name wasn't on the security list. Once I had got out of my meeting and called at 3.15pm it was too late. So back to the planning team to wait for another 10 days!! It’s a case of computer says no and no care given to being a decent human.
Do not use at all
We ordered a TV stand with 4 doors that arrived this week.
We built the item and the final door didn't fit - the hinge is a good 1/2 inch away from the screw holes. One of the doors doesn't stay closed and there is a gap between others that shouldn't be there. Overall the colour and quality appears very different to the online photos.
Called customer services, to ask for a return. First response was to send them a photo so they could investigate it.
We asked for a return and refund under our distance selling regulation rights (i.e., <14 days from delivery, no reason required).
The representative first tried to say that this wasn't possible. Then, after a heated exchange, finally said it was possible but only if we returned through a 3rd party courier ourselves, which is their right to request.
The whole experience with the product and interaction with customer services has been incredibly poor - and I can see why they have a score of less than two stars at the time of writing this review.
Horrible customer service - never again
I just ended a call with your customer support team, if you can call it that. I must say I’m a bit shocked.
I am a customer service manager myself and I would never instruct my team to tell valuable customers to “accept the delivery date or cancel the order” as the only solution. For paying £300 for a mirror and a company that sells itself as “top quality”, I would expect way much more from the customer support team instead of making up excuses to avoid refunding me the £29,99 I paid extra to get it delivered by 26th. And certainly, I would expect a gesture of good practice towards a customer, specially when it was the company’s fault to not fulfil what it was promised. The customer support team only told me “unfortunately the drivers are already out, and we do not offer compensations” or any other solution. She even tried to make excuses to blame me, luckily I have proof of the promise.
Now, I’m shooting off to buy an alternative preset for my partner, which will make me spend more money than originally planned, and it will cause disappointment anyway, as the same I was lead to believe by Daals, I made my partner believe we would get the present on time.
The lack of empathy when explaining, the lack of leadership staff instructing employees to give a proper solution or compensation/discount, and the lame excuses and poor customer service are utterly disappointing.
I have deceived to file a claim with Trading Standards against the company, and I will make sure all my friends and family members know to avoid buying from Daals.
In my opinion: they sell good furniture (still to pass the test) but horrible customer service. Then a BIG NO.
I should have read the reviews
I should have read the reviews. Awful company, awful communication. Ordered a sofa for a holiday home so the time line of the delivery is crucial as we are not permanently at the property. Delivery date not met. No communications from Daals. I have called and emailed them several times a day for 3 days and I’m told it’s with the planning team! Asked for updates non received. Jocelyn initially responded on day 1 saying it was being progressed and has since then ignored all my emails.
I placed this order as the delivery time frame was crucial. They clearly take your money with no intention of meeting the agreed delivery date.

I Bought a sofa from this company. It came with nothing that was described on their website. Said it has foam filling was like cotton wool, said the seats was 20cm in depth was 13, the support under the middle (like a post) that keeps the sofa bending In the middle didn't even touch the floor..when I messaged they was constantly saying doesn't meet requirements for a return even though the sofa is unusable. Then they finally agreed and ask inorder to send it back it needs to pay wrapped. Like I have anything to wrap it in because there delivery team unwrapped it out side and left the box in rain. I have put all there cushions and back rests and seat cushions in bin bags and that's still not good enough. they have a delivery team that can come and quickly put plastic over it as they have all the available things needed but insead they want to mess around and cause more stress. I even asked them to send me the stuff for me to package it.

I am still due a £839 refund for order 304333. I could list lots of reasons why not to buy from this company but not returning £839 to a customer that spent £8000 with them says everything that you need to know about this company.
Do Not use this company
Just received dressing table with parts missing. Sent numerous emails and made phone calls, sent photos and still they have not sent the missing pieces. They put the phone down on you and there is no redress. Disgraceful. Do NOT buy anything from this company.
