Lot of the material is over my head in terms of what I would do for a trip. Maybe if I was younger and single. More into comfort and minimal number of layovers now.

When searching for award flights, the results often do not show all award flights that I'm able to independently search on my own (i.e. united redemptions that I find often are not displayed). It seems like the system picks from only 2 or 3 different award availability, and is not an extensive search. The platform is more stable than Roame, but Roame is more reliable for finding flight options.

Have you looked at Netflix lately? You sit down, you get your snacks, you are ready to be entertained. And then you just scroll. You scroll for twenty minutes. You watch the little previews. By the time you actually pick a show, you are asleep. It is exhausting.

Then you switch to Instagram. You are sitting there in your sweatpants, and you are looking at some kid doing yoga by an infinity pool in Bali. And you think, how are they doing that? I work full time and I just ate cereal for dinner.

Move aside, Instagram. Cancel all of your streaming subscriptions. The best show on the internet right now is a five-minute travel email called Daily Drop.

It is true. The best entertainment we have is a newsletter. It gives you the exact same thrill as a prestige drama, but the entire plot is just us outsmarting the airlines.

One day it is a quiet little character study. They tell you about a secret credit card perk that lets you fly business class to Tokyo for the price of airport parking. The next day, it is a full action movie. A point transfer bonus expires at midnight. They give you a countdown clock and step-by-step instructions to move your points to a European airline you have never heard of.

You are reading this like you are watching a heist movie. You are hunched over your laptop at eight in the morning, plotting an international escape while pretending to clear your inbox.

Instagram just makes you jealous. Daily Drop makes you feel like a criminal mastermind.

The problem is not that travel is too expensive. It is that the airlines built a giant maze to confuse us. Daily Drop just hands you the map every morning.

There is real suspense here. Will this mistake fare last long enough for you to text your spouse? Will the hotel realize their typo before you book three nights in Lisbon for ninety dollars?

We do not need another nine-part documentary about a cult. What we actually want is a seat that reclines all the way back, an extra bag of peanuts, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing we paid less than the guy in seat 14B.

Daily Drop is prime-time television. It just happens to be an email.

The newsletter is great, but I have yet to find any good reward flights using the Daily Drop flight point search. I can only find very expensive reward flights.

I recently joined the Daily Drop and I’m loving it. They keep me up to date with all the bonuses and extras. I get email notices of deals from the major airports near by. My only complaint is that you can’t search from our local airport, only the really big ones.

I love the general content and learning about how to utilize points and get great deals on flights and holidays in general. I find that (as a Canadian) the content is VERY US-centric— obviously a choice based on the demographics. I just wish there were more Canadian-based content for cards, trips, flight rewards — all of it.

I really like the way the email each day is laid out. It’s easy to read and understand and has great advice based on personal experience.

This is the only email I read every day to see what bonuses or great deals are available. The tools daily drop offers are fantastic for the way we travel. We wouldn’t be able to go on so many trips.
