Super Speedy Delivery

Ordered my basic ballet shoes and my ballet tights from here for the first time yesterday afternoon! Without next day shipping they arrived this afternoon! My shoes and tights are great! Super speedy delivery and great quality!

Excellent and knowledgeable customer service

Cannot fault my experience, the most helpful customer service over the phone. Very efficient and knowledgeable in discussing my query and left me feeling confident in my purchase. Genuinely can't recommend them enough for all your dance needs!

I ordered two pairs of ballet shoes

I ordered two pairs of ballet shoes, and only one was sent, and no refund or explanation given for the missing pair. I also ordered 4 pairs of Silky ballet tights; these all failed on first time of wearing with ladders or holes at top of legs. When I complained I was given a refund for the missing ballet shoes which were apparently out of stock, but no one had informed me of this. I was not offered a refund for the ballet tights but told I must send them back with returns form, so it could be assessed whether there was a manufacturing fault. I feel I should be offered an immediate refund for these inadequate tights which cost £8 per pair, I had sent photos but this company are insisting I have to return the tights causing a big delay in getting a refund, and adding greatly to the inconvenience already caused. I am really unimpressed with the service and quality provided by this company, and will not be ordering from them again.

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service you have received.

When the size and colour of an item is selected a live stock feed will show on our website and alert you if an item is out of stock. This is also shown at the check out stage, and within your confirmation email. As we run a back order system here at Dancewear Central, we do take out of stock orders and despatch them once available. As soon as you alerted us to the fact that you no longer wanted the out of stock shoe, this was refunded for you.

With regards to the tights, as this is a potential manufacturing issue, we would need these back to discuss this with the manufacturer before we can proceed with a refund. This is standard practice for reseller sites like ourselves. This would be at no cost to yourself as we are more than happy to refund the return postage costs to you. Our current turn around for returns is 5 working days, so this would be dealt with as swiftly as possible for you. Please do return the tights to us so that we can help you to the best of our ability.

We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused, and do hope you can understand our reasonings. We look forward to assisting you further.

Excellent Customer Service

Excellent customer service; second to none! I have had two speedy deliveries having had to return a pair of shoes that were too small and have them replaced by a bigger size. I spoke to Storm a few times and she goes the extra mile to answer queries and assist. Thank you, highly recommended.

Difficulties Behind Them

I purchased from them a number of weeks ago and had a great experience so have recently purchased again. I had to call about the items and had a discussion with a lovely lady called Storm. I said I was surprised by the previous bad reviews having had such a great experience myself and was told about their new computer system and the issues it created during November / December last year. That explains a lot and fully endorse their current customer service levels! Thanks and will buy again.

Great service

Great service! I called asking what leotards would fit a ladies size 16 and the person who took the call checked and came to me with 2 options available in my size.
I placed the order online on Friday lunchtime and the order arrived the next day!

Amazing!

These guys have been amazing! Phenomenal customer service; regular and clear emails about my order and assistance to change and amend my order (the change was needed due to my own fault, not theirs!) I’m really shocked to read these other terrible reviews - they’ve been nothing but amazing!

This company is absolutely terrible

This company is absolutely terrible. I have emailed four times about orders they claimed to have shipped but I've never received. Supposedly they sent these via Royal Mail 24 hour tracked delivery, but that was weeks ago. No response, no nothing. Do not order from them. I'm going to report this to my credit card company.

AWFUL SHIPPING!!

I placed on order for a bag on a Monday, paid 7 pounds next day delivery. By thursday it had not been shipped, so I ordered again, paid another 7 pounds next day delivery and the bag was still nowhere to be seen. This was an order of four items, three were received three days late, and the bag was nowhere to be seen. After contacting customer service with slow replies, my original order was refunded and then the other order was claimed to be dispatched. The bag arrived 2 weeks after my original order. I had to re order the other items also, as I needed them ASAP, and this was also late. Overall I have wasted 21 pounds of next day delivery from this company, and their delivery service is a scam. If you want anything on time, order elsewhere as you will probably not see your items for at least 4 days, and their next day delivery service charge is a scam, as I have learned over four orders.

All orders placed before 3pm should be despatched on the same day. We have had some recent technical issues which mean that they are not despatched until the following day, and we do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. We do recommend that if you have not received an order as expected, to call us so that we can look into this, and not to order a replacement as it will then cost you the extra postage.

With you stating that the bag arrived a couple of weeks after your order, it could mean that your bag was out of stock at the time of order. However without your information it is hard for us to confirm this.

Our deliveries are provided by Royal Mail (which is our standard delivery service and is sent Tracked 24), or Parcelforce (which are the Next Working Day and Saturday deliveries), so we can assure you that these are reputable companies.

Once again, we apologise that you have not received our standard level of customer service, and look forward to receiving your order information so that we can assist you further.

I ordered point shoes for my daughter’s…

I ordered point shoes for my daughter’s Christmas on 6.11.24.
I have had no order updates. No active tracking and no response when trying to contact the company.
5 -7 working days they said. This is now 5 weeks down the line and I’ve had nothing but my money taken. Absolutely stay away from this company!!

I have looked into your order and can see that the Pointe shoes were out of stock at the time of order. This is stated on the website once the colour and size of an item is selected, as well as in your basket before purchase. This is where it states that items from that manufacturer are usually despatched within 5-7 days. This is an estimation and not a guarantee as there can occasionally be delays with the manufacturer, as there were in this instance. Any further updates should be available on the pink button in your confirmation email, or by contacting us directly.

I can see that we have had one email from you, which was received yesterday at 1.48pm whilst we were closed over the weekend, and this has since been responded to.

As your shoes are now in stock, these have been despatched to you, and will be with you in the next few days.

We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with your shopping experience with us, and want to assure you of our best attention at all times.

For the sake of your sanity, avoid

Receipt said it’ll be 5-7 working days for my item to be sent out. 12 days later, still no sign. Contacted them via email. Nothing. Finally got someone on messenger to be told that it’s ready to go and will be out in the next few days. There was no apology, there was no reason given for why it hasn’t been shipped or why no one has been in touch with me before now. I won’t be using again.

The message you have seen regarding 5-7 days does state that out of stock items from this manufacturer are "usually despatched within 5-7 days", as this is normally the case.

We do apologise that you did not receive a more swift response from our team. This is due to the very high level of contact we are currently receiving which is causing some delay.

As stated in our messages on PayPal, your order has been despatched to you now that the items are back in stock, and this was marked as delivered to you by Royal Mail yesterday.

Painfully slow return process

I have never seen a company that slow with return process. It's been 16 working days since my order got delivered back to them, they have not even acknowledged the receipt yet. It's 2024. This is unacceptable.

Edit 10/12: The return form claims that returns take up to 14 working days.

Our Returns Policy does state that returns can take up to 28 working days in some extreme cases. This is in line with Trading Standards, but we do always try our best to process returns much quicker than this, with a standard turnaround of 7-14 working days.

Huge delay on item showing as coming back into stock

I ordered and paid for a pair of jazz dance trainers from Dancewear Central. It was showing as out of stock but coming back into stock within 7-10 days.

The company never contacted me, after 7 weeks the item was still out of stock. I rang and emailed and the response to my emails was slow. I was still being told that the shoes were out of stock but expected soon several weeks later.

I am glad they processed my refund promptly, but I would advise them to answer more quickly and be more truthful upfront about timescales.

On 11 November 24 I ordered a pair of wide fit dance shoes for next day delivery. I did not receive my shoes. We are now on the 23 November no shoes have arrived. I have wrote 3 emails and they only replied to one saying this shoe is out of stock.
Nothing about returning my money.
I have asked for my money back but
If I don’t get my full refund I will be contacting trading standards.

I have placed an order with this company on 2nd November. Still not received the order, sent 2 emails & message through FB and still not reply. They have taken the money but not provided product. Not very happy with this company - looks dodgy to me!!

Absolutely Brilliant!

I hope this review offers some balance to Dancewear Central. I found everything I was looking for on their website, literally all other dancewear online sites could not offer me the sizes for small men's leotards and the choice is already limited. I ordered two leotards, a pair of stirrups and some character shoes. I placed this order 12th November, and have just received it now on 14th November. 2 days! Pretty good going! So my experience is the complete opposite of the last couple of reviews. Packaging was great, delivered by Parcelforce. You cannot ask any more than that. And I got a discount for signing up to their Newsletter. Absolutely brilliant! Nothing has been tried on yet, but I am confident with the leotards and probably the stirrups too. Looking at the character shoes, I'm worried they might be too small. I will found out soon, and then if needed I will happily review the returns/replace/refund service i get. I'm pretty confident that will be spot on too. Thanks Dancewear Central!

I ordered my daughter some tap shoes…

I ordered my daughter some tap shoes and paid next day delivery if I ordered before 2pm, which I did. I have waited almost 2 weeks for these tap shoes now. I have had an email in between saying the shoes were due to be dispatched 5 days ago and still nothing. They are now not answering my emails. The money was taken instantly when I ordered! Terrible service. I have asked for a refund now and no response! Very poor service.

Do not use

Do not use. Ordered something with next day delivery, two days later not even received a shipping confirmation email. Called them to be advised the product is out of stock and won’t be in for a few weeks. Had I not phoned to chase this up, they’d never have got in touch to tell me.
