I understand international shipping can be cumbersome at times, but the patience is rewarded. They've always gone out of their way to make sure I am satisfied with the transaction. Edit to add, I did finally receive my order on Jan 14 2026. It was nicely packaged & wrapped for Christmas.
Placed order on December 2 2025. Received a phone call & email confirming my order the next day. Still have not received my order or shipping confirmation. Every email checking in has been met with the run around in regards to their “logistics department” or alcohol restrictions from Japan. It’s now been a month since my original purchase & they have not responded to my last two emails inquiring about my purchase. I would steer clear of this company!

3-10 day delivery? Nonsense. Haven't heard in a month from them. They reached out weeks after I placed an order to say the item was out of stock and they offered a substitute. Now nothing. No shipping, no tracking, they don't reply to emails. This company is a scam

Impressive service
Recently purchased a cask through Dekanta and was very impressed with the service. I had a lot of questions around the purchase process and the products, all of which were answered thoroughly. My certificate arrived quickly, so now I'm looking forward to making the trip over to the distillery!

I suspect I’ve been scammed
I spoke too soon in my original review. I ordered two bottles of whiskey. The less expensive bottle arrived quickly. The more expensive bottle hasn’t arrived 3 months later. Email replies have been delay tactics. I suspect I’ve been scammed.

They never delivered my order
They never delivered my order. I ordered a bottle of Hibiki 17 and Hibiki 21 on June 6, 2025. It's now September 4, 2025 and I still haven't received confirmation of shipping. Each time I reach out, they respond with something about their logistics department and shipping how it is about to ship or need to check with their logistic partners in the U.S. I got so fed up, I asked for a refund. As of now, I'm not sure if they'll issue a refund or if I've been scammed out of $1,600. I would not order from them again.

Tried to sell a whisky to Dekanta
Tried to sell a whisky to Dekanta, as they offer to buy whisky’s on their website. The phone line was very difficult to use, sometimes I would just be on hold for ages and the one time I spoke to someone, it seemed very unprofessional.
Moved to their emailing system for communication and they only seem to reply late at night. When I finally got a response after sending photos and details of the whisky I wanted to sell, they didn’t make an offer, but just flat out refused to buy it. For reference it was 17 year old Hibiki from the early 90s.
I wouldn’t recommend dealing with them.

Requesting shipping update
I placed an order on 11/29/24. Got a phone call and subsequent emails confirming the order and payment was processed the same day. It's now 12/25/24 and no sign of shipment let alone tracking or delivery updates. I've received generic responses to my inquiries, stating they were checking with the logistics team as to when the bottle would ship. At this point I can't be sure I'm not being scammed and out over $200usd.
