Big NO-NO!. I was way overcharged for a simple website. I found a different website that charged me a fraction of what they charge with a bunch of more features. They figure out ways to make money off of you, so don't think your expenses stop when you first sign up. They will call you and tell you that it will cost x amount for an add-on and tell you that it's necessary for your website. You will talk to several different people. They will charge you to add a free feature. If it doesn't get sketchier than that..they will quote you a price then discount it soon after, especially if you don't want the add-on. I currently don't have a website because on my last call they told me I had to pay them $2k to update a legal setting. After I said no multiple times, they magically went down on the price to $500 because I am a "loyal customer." Where have I heard that before? It's not worth your money and time. Trust me.

Brian Wilson was my account manager for my website. He has been very professional and his attention-to-detail has been outstanding! Great job!

This is the worst company. I've been dealing with them since March 2020. I still don't have a working website and unfortunately, I've given them over $2k. I would not recommend them for anything.
They use alias names, pass the problem on to other people, never come through on their stated time of 24-48 hours. I would have been better off using GoDaddy.com or any other american web page designer.

Worst Experience – Stay Away From This Company:

My dealings with Design Dok was unfortunately the worst experience I have ever had and especially working with Rodney. Design Dok is great at taking your money but their attitude and work goes down after that. Extremely poor customer service, never completed the work on the time line agreed, had to follow-up DAILY and ASK-PLEAD with them to do the work they promised, always unexpected and continuous problems, every problem required big dollar resolutions, worked with Rodney and felt he was never being truly honest and was giving me the run around, they continually try to upsell you but they are slow or didn’t do the work or fix the problems you paid them to handle, rarely returned calls as promised, and often didn’t do the work correctly and/or only did some parts in which I had to follow-up multiple times to get the other requested work completed.

I don’t want to write these types of reviews but my experiences warrant it. It was such a burdensome, frustrating, and extremely unpleasant experience with Design Dok & dealing with Rodney, that my experience was very disappointing and upsetting.

Rodney and Justin and the entire team at DesignDok are fantastic. My website looks great and I will continue to use the services of DesignDok for future needs of my business.

Do not proceed with this company. i have been disputing my website with them since june of 2020. We are now 6 months inand I have no progress with them. This company will constanlty call you and ask you for money to furthur the progress with your tasks. They work Is very Amateur. Throughout my experience they have changed my project manager so many times. Its awful.

I had Brian Wilson worked on my case he was really helpful and patient:) i loved that he took the time to make sure I got what I wanted.

My recent experience with Designdok has been professional and personal. The staff collaboratively rendered a high-quality product. Among this group of professionals, Brian Wilson's prompt response to our requests is very much appreciated. We look forward to doing more business with the group.

A complete disaster. Paid Designdok to migrate our website to a new hosting service and make configuration changes to improve page load speeds for desktop and mobile visits. After two weeks of excuses and asking for the same admin credentials we had already provided over and over again, they insisted we use them to host our site and not the hosting provider we had already purchased. Insisted we needed dedicated hosting servers to improve performance, which we agreed to at 3X the cost. Repeatedly told us the new servers were ready to migrate, has us point our live website domain there, only to have it display a 500 Internal Server Error. This went on for another two weeks. Each day I was told their servers were ready to migrate, we pointed our DNS, waited for hours, no website (500 error). Making it worse, Rodney, our "expert", would not reply to any of my emails, phone calls or text messages (yes he wanted to communicate by text) until after 2 pm CST. He then sent me the exact same instructions (as if he and I had never had a previous conversation). Also, refused to give us Cpanel access to the hosting service we purchased from them (for $2500) so our IT team could go in, look at the .htaccess files, and try to get our website back up. There may be things DesignDok is competent in doing, but backend website projects are clearly not one of them. After more than a month wasted without even phase 1 of our project completed, we've pulled the plug. We've been told that refunds must be requested by phone, but thus far calls to that extension just drop. I'll update this review, once we've received our refund.

Working with Designdok was a great learning experience. I learned all the ins and outs to having a website and all the features it comes with. This is a very big investment, but hopefully my business will thrive, making it all worth it. Brian was a pleasure to work with and very helpful. He played the key role in making my vision come to life and although it took many attempts, he never quit until i was fully satisfied. He was professional and made the approproate adjustments to any tweaks i needed done. I am looking forward to seeing the benefits from this website and share all of mine and Brians hardwork off to family and friends. Thanks Brian!

Great design and developer team and quick turn around on all projects and request. I am very pleased with Brian and his friendliness with us. He did everything we asked in a timely matter. I will definitely be recommending him and Designdok !Thanks for such good work.

My wife is a realtor. She hired Design Dok to build and host her website. After paying $799, they began building the site. After several months of emails, phone calls, and arguments, Design Dok never completed the site: broken links, computer code on the pages visible to clients, no pictures, etc. Oddly, withing the first month of paying them, she began receiving calls and emails approximately every month trying to get her to "upgrade" to higher security, extra add-ons, Norton Virus, and all sorts of others odds and ends.
The site never was completed, and as this was very time sensitive, she hired a third party programmer from Olympia, WA to finish the site. This programmer was spectacular.
Fast forward to Sept 8, and she received another call from Design Dok asking to sign up for another add on, thus asking for more money. She ignored the call. One week later (Sept 13), her site went down. She logged in to the back-end to check it out. Neither my wife nor the third party programmer could get in. The access had been changed. A call to Design Dok and we were told we had been hacked, and our data deleted, and for another $799 and they could fix it and add Norton. Yup. Design Dok was extorting our business. A quick written email to Design Dok threatening to sue them if they did not restore our site and data, and magically, the site was restored within the hour.
The third party programmer we hired was able to pull some magic of his own and determine Design Dok had changed the access to administration (only they could get in), and in the programmers own words:
"The website was “hacked” from their end using an associated email address with your domain name.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! Do your research. They have numerous complaints with the BBB, but the BBB cannot do anything, as they are not members. They keep changing states, possibly to avoid ticked- off clients and lawsuits.

Brian Wilson gave the BEST customer service I have EVER experienced. He went above and beyond to help us create our website. Excellent on the phone and perfect at communication. He was patient, and HE IS THE BEST!!!!!!

7 months and the site still doesn't work. another application is running in the background to help troubleshooting, but left online for months. Three different sales people in the last 3 months. acknowledges i have issue, but doesn't resolve it.

Brian had awesome customer service. He was able to make changes to my logo as requested with a prompt turnaround time.

If there were less back and forth emails regarding my suggested logo design changes and more phone conversations, I would give them 5 stars. I worked with one "point person" who was nice but I felt that she dropped the ball and was not relaying my suggestions to the designers. Chris, the new "point person", actually called and emailed me multiple times when the back and forth discussions via my client portal appeared to come to a standstill. Since I am new to starting my business, I would suggest for new clients to make sure to ask questions about trademarks and copyright information upfront. I had no idea that they provided these services for an additional fee that I felt was reasonable and fair. I love my logo! It's beautiful and it represents my brand so well!!! It looks professional and very credible! I am very proud of it and I am happy that the designers were able to see my "vision" after so many color changes, font changes, etc., Thank you so much! Overall, I would definitely use them again for my next future business venture.

I have had mostly good experience with staff at designdok when creating my company website. They were respectful and worked with me.

They are very diligent and conscientious. They work hard to design a website that is useful for my business. Brian Wilson has been my account manager and he is always on top of my needs. I have enjoyed working with them.

I don't like writing 1 star reviews, but in this situation, I think it's necessary so others don't make the same mistake I made. Unfortunately, I have to agree with all the other unhappy customer reviews. I believe this company is a scam. I paid $3,398 for a website and SEO, and what I received was very poor quality and unprofessional. When I finally did get a rough draft of my website, it was worse than my current website which I made myself in a couple of hours on a drag and drop site. They advertise a 100% money back guarantee, but they don't honor it. They claim they're in Newark, CA, but when I called that industrial park, I couldn't find them. I wish I would have never gone with this company. Big mistake!!!
