Shipping to Hawaii and need a dependable carrier. DHX is the way to go. I use DHX for all my accounts to Hawaii. Theresa Gomez always goes above and beyond to get my shipments shipped on time and delivered safely. Theresa has saved me time and money and for this I will always be a loyal customer.

Our account representative, John Takizawa, has been very helpful and professional in coordinating our mainland shipments. He makes it easy to obtain quotes and updates, and we don’t have to reach out to multiple contacts. Having one point of contact for all services really streamlines our process.

Our experience with DHX was defined by a lack of coordination and foresight. We requested a quote in December for a February delivery, yet the process was plagued by preventable issues that forced us to go back to our customer three separate times with bad news.

Billing Delays: Despite the long lead time, we weren't given payment info until the day after the initial ETA. Because DHX delayed the billing, we couldn't use our standard check process without further stalling the delivery. This forced us into a corner where we had to pay immediately via credit card and incur a 3% fee just to keep things moving. DHX did give us a concession on that fee.

The Quoting Bait-and-Switch: When our customer requested inside delivery, we were quoted a specific rate which we then collected from our client. However, once the Station Manager realized the address was on the second floor, they hiked the fee by over $100 to add an extra person.

Lack of Process: This could have been avoided if DHX had gathered the necessary parameters during the initial quoting phase. Because no questions were asked about stairs or elevators upfront, we had no way of communicating these limitations to our customer.

Ultimately, we had to absorb the additional $100 ourselves to save face and protect our reputation. It is unprofessional to change terms and costs repeatedly because a provider failed to gather basic delivery details.
