Very disappointing experience with DME-Direct.
I ordered BioSkin compression shorts for an injury recovery need. The item arrived later than expected, and when it finally showed up, the sizing was completely unusable. I ordered a medium, but the shorts would not even go over my thighs, let alone fit up to my waist. This was not a small fit issue.
The bigger problem is the return experience. At checkout, the site presented “30 day return,” which made the return policy sound reasonable. What was not clear to me at checkout was that a return would require me to pay return shipping and also lose 20% to a restocking fee. Had that been clearly presented up front, I would not have purchased from them.
I contacted them to request a return authorization number and explained the delayed arrival, the unusable fit, and my concern that the fees were not clearly disclosed. The response I received was dismissive and defensive. Instead of trying to help, they essentially told me I had checked the terms box, that some people read the full policy and some do not, and suggested I sell the item on eBay or Facebook Marketplace if I wanted to avoid the restocking fee.
That is not customer service. That is blaming the customer.
For a medical support product, especially one being purchased by someone trying to recover from an injury, I expected better. Slow delivery, poor sizing outcome, expensive return terms, and a condescending response when I asked for help.
I would not shop here again. Amazon and other retailers win for a reason, faster shipping, easier returns, and a much better customer experience.
