I’ve recently transferred from Moneybox…
I’ve recently transferred from Moneybox to Dodl, the main reason was the lower fees and the fact that I feel more confident choosing my own investments (compared to when I opened Moneybox and knew nothing). Although Dodl offer considerably less investment options, it has all it needs to make a good and performant portfolio. I do miss the performance graphics and future calculators on the Moneybox app, which I hope Dodl develops going forward, because for me they are an important part of investing (being able to clearly and concisel visualise performance in detail, straight on my investment platform), the customer service so far has been quick to respond, although could be a bit more friendly.

Excellent customer service
Asked for 6 months statements via the chat and received the document within minutes, excellent customer service. AI assistant also very clearly explained the process of withdrawing money from a LISA for purchasing a house.

I liked the easy process to start…
I liked the easy process to start investing in shares. I’m disappointed I can only buy such a small amount of companies. I wanted to invest in large companies such as B.A.E. and Quintec. Not possible.

I was having difficulty with using one certain aspect of the app, after messaging there help line and corresponding with a lady named kiera for a couple of minutes, I was performing the task that I was struggling with, easy when there's good people to help. Brilliant

was connected to a person almost instantly. Even though the app didn’t have the functionality, the staff quickly solved my problems and issue was solved in under 30m.

Does what it says on the tin
Simple, stripped back and no frills. Dodl is incredibly easy to use and I would certainly recommend it for beginners. It also offers good value for money compared to its competitors.
Conversely though, I think that since the app is stripped back and simplistic, it reflects its lower fees. For example, the visibility of market data for investments could be a lot more thorough, e.g. market cap, yield, ex-dividend dates etc., but this is all information that is available from other sources if necessary.
Overall though, it's a thumbs up from me and I sincerely hope that Dodl will help me to prosper with my investments.
