I’ve been working with Marc now for about 3 months. My field bred Golden Retriever was very reactive, stalking and lunging at other dogs when we were out walking an aggressive behaviour we called “werewolf mode” She had started to apply this same behaviour to people so we knew we needed to sort it out urgently. I was a bit sceptical about it being online but it’s absolutely brilliant, Marc is so knowledgeable and knew how to deal with it straight away. With each session she’s getting better and better to the stage where other dog owners she used to have a go at now remark how well much better she is. I couldn’t have done it without Marc’s support, knowledge and patience and am delighted with the results from the sessions we’ve had. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marc and the online sessions have transformed our dog’s behaviour in a very short period of time

We saw a remarkable improvement in our Ollie’s behavior. Part Jack Russell so quite a handful. We learned proper handling technique, correction of inappropriate behaviors. Marc was quite patient and really understands dog psychology.

I was first introduced to Marc probably some 15 to 20 yrs ago when he assisted me with training my two Rottweilers. What stood out to me then and now was/is the fact that the training was not only geared towards the canines but also to developing the ability and capability of the owner. There was no hesitation in sharing what some may consider trade secrets all in the vein of developing capable and responsible dog owners and handlers…!

Some 15 to 20 years later the experience was comparable and even more enhanced when Marc assisted me with introductory training for my four Mastiffs. Again taking time to comprehensively explain the similarities and differences in this breed as compared to dog breeds with which I would have previously had experience.

Also this time around I was able to make use of the post-Covid virtual consultation sessions. This proved to be equally as effective while affording another level of flexibility to the consultation engagements.

Again, the level of expertise and professionalism demonstrated by Marc and the Dogpoint team in getting me and my dogs up and running has been nothing short of excellent …!

Hello everyone! This review is for Dogpoint!

I live in Oregon, moved here in 18' i was looking for a reliable trainer here in the Tualatin area and met some pretty trustworthy people and a lot that just talked a lot of nonsense. Being from the Calfornia area previously i went back to my previous trainer which I had the most trust in. He recommended Dogpoint, It was a bit different being online and not in person. Through a guided zoom meeting it was great just like he was right there with me. I tried out the first session to see if it was right for me and it totally was a great session. My pup picked up mostly all the commands we went through like sit, stay, down at the time he was only 5 months old. I signed up for the 2 month session and was happy to receive it. I can now go back and look and what mistakes I have made and can correct them by going back to any session. I like the structure and how the classes were made. I do have some previous training experience although after about 12 years I did need a refresher to. Training is what you make it. You can ask for pretty much anything: how to: like another dog in the next yard annoyingly barking, barking dogs on a walk, what to do for stay animals, wildlife and such. Dogpoint can train to a very high level but being an online type of training i would have to go there in person to work on bite work and protection work. My pack consists of a Belgian Malinois, 2 Germans sheppard, and a rottwieler. Little cloth toys disappear in minutes. Bones and antlers or harder objects take a little longer for my really aggressive chewers!

If you have a limited schedule and need some awesome dog training for puppy or full grown dogs Dogpoint is the place i would highly recommend!

The DogPoint team are nothing short of extroadinary. They are backed by experience and masters of their craft. Every question and concern i had was responded to withouth hesitation. Explanations are simplified so even a child can understand and execute.

Marc is a very experienced dog trainer, who is definitely passionate about his work. His seminars are very informative and he is willing to answer any and all questions regarding any aspect of dog training. I worked with him regarding my 2 puppies. I was a little skeptical at first, but because he tells you, as the owner, what to do, you are training your dog, not Marc. Plus he observes you doing the training and offers corrections and unique ways to train. He thoroughly explains the "why" of doing certain things and discusses the personalities and traits of specific breeds. I highly recommend Marc!

Amazing Experience!!!

I was given Marc's contact information by a friend who follows him on Linked In and thank goodness she did. Rigby is our fourth Airedale and by far the most challenging. We had taken him to 2 other trainers and the methods they used were not working on our high drive, high energy pup. Marc explained that dogs like him needed to be trained while they are in the high drive, high energy state as if they listen to you then, when they are calm it is so much easier to deal with them. Rigby used to jump on me and nibble me first thing in the morning like I was a puppy. That took one session with Marc to curtail that behaviour. Every session since then huge strides were made until at our last session Marc said he couldn't believe that Rigby was the same dog he started with. We have learned so much from Marc, and Rigby is a joy to live with now, not the whirling dervish he once was. He caught on to every new lesson with his typical energetic manner and learned so quickly what we were asking him to do. We are so thankful for Marc's assistance and highly recommend him.

Our family proposed an exacting and time-bound travel challenge to Marc for our one year old Shih Tzu. From our first conversation on the telephone, Marc was honest and direct in his communication. Despite the time constraints and any other deterrents, Marc accepted our challenge and exhibited patience, care, and enthusiasm during every training session. The process and outcome exceeded our expectations, which were set inherently high due to the nature of the travel challenge. As a result, our dog was able to travel safely and successfully with us, accompanying us on our overseas move from Trinidad to England. Furthermore, the Obedience Training provided by Dogpoint has served our dog and our family in good stead as we can enjoy daily life all together in dog friendly England and Europe. We are grateful to Marc and his son Michael who both went above and beyond for us and for making the dog training experience one of purpose and of pleasure. We highly recommend Dogpoint! From our experience, we can say confidently that Dogpoint LLC are the Top Dog in dog training.

My experience so far with dogpoint have been amazing. I have been doing virtual obedience training for the past 6 months. As a first time owner to a German Shepherd (zeus) I had alot learned. While we have learned basic obedience I was taught
how to deal with Zeus dominance behavior due walks,as well as impulse control. Marc (trainer) has teach me to understand Zeus body language as well as different techniques to deal with his aggression. Marc is always been available by phone for questions between training session. His knowledge and expertise on
behavioral issue is extensive and insightful. I will highly recommend Dogpoint llc to anyone as I have seen the wonders they can do for you and your dog.

Marc & Michael are a great team. From beginning to end everything was seamless.

My dog, Naia had aggression issues from past trauma and would growl, bark and bite at people who were entering our house. After the first session Naia went from barking for 10 minutes straight to allowing Mark to walk her on the leash and give her treats. We started in January our last session was in July. Naia has made tremendous progress when people enter our house. She calms down within 2 minutes and listens to me, this has brought peace to me and especially my family.

They are very accommodating and helpful with appointments and payments and all in all it was a lovely experience working with them.

You never realize how bad things are until they get good, and now that Naia is better it has made a significant difference in our lives. 🙏🏼

I have no hesitation recommending Marc as a trainer, he's worked with four successive dogs with me and another four dogs with my housemate. Our dogs have received intensive training, including several show dogs and personal protection dogs.

Having previously worked with other local dog trainers and being involved with showing dogs I can unequivocally say that Marc provides a superior service. He is prompt, honest, patient and reliable. In 11 years we have had no complaints. Marc treats our dogs to high standards of care, he's also provided assistance in emergency situations. He has helped us source dogs that are suitable for our situation, we needed high drive, protective dogs who could also live indoors and be around aging parents. Marc found the right dogs and trained us, those dogs and still provides follow up service when necessary. For Marc, when it comes to dog care there are no stupid questions and he's patiently answered many for me.

If I were to get another puppy or rescue dog now, Marc would be the first person I would call.

We love Marc dog training- he is so patient and takes the extra time to help you learn to take care of your pets. I was walking my dog and found out I needed training because I was so nervous, but Marc took the extra time to show me how to properly walk my dog- so we need more training than the dogs 👍👍
