Did not accept their mistake and played the blame game. I placed an order on 16th of March which I received on the 24th of March. There was one item missing (of value €3). When this issue was raised, they asked for photos and if there was any damage. There was none. They immediately determined that since "there is no weight discrepancy", the problem is with the courier. Despite several attempts to let them know that there was no damage to the box and that this was simply a case of one item missed from their packing team, they ignored my emails and asked the courier company to provide a resolution. After having ordered from several e-shops in the past many years, this was my first time trying Dookan out and lesson learnt, never again. I haven't seen bigger cheats and scammers. Thankfully, I only lost 3 euros. This could have been simply handled with "oh it seems that we missed to pack x, and here is the refund", which is what has happened at times with other businesses. As a customer, my duty is to warn others of this behaviour of Dookan.

Sending out resealed food products is unacceptable

I received a 5kg bag of Daawat Extra Long Basmati Rice from this store on 4 December 2025. Unfortunately, the product I received had already been torn and then taped up before delivery.

I only discovered the issue in early March, when rice began falling out of the bag. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that the packaging had been damaged and resealed with tape prior to being sent to me. This was never disclosed at the time of purchase or delivery.

This is completely unacceptable, especially for a food item. There is no way for me to know how long the bag had been open, how it was stored, or whether it was exposed to contamination. This raises serious concerns about hygiene and quality control.

When I contacted customer support, I was told that the return period had expired and was reassured that the rice was “safe to consume,” with the blame shifted to the delivery company. As a customer, this response is extremely disappointing. The responsibility for delivering a safe and intact product lies entirely with the seller, regardless of any third-party logistics involved.

I later received an apology email along with a refund of €0.64, which feels like a joke!

Overall, this experience has severely undermined my trust in this business. Sending out resealed food products is unacceptable, and the handling of the complaint was equally poor. I will not be purchasing from here again. Be cautious!

EXtremely dissapointed by customer service of DOOKAN

I am extremely dissapointed by the customer service of dookan. At 30 november i ordered a package with supplies that i needed for christmas. I still have not received the package nor any answer where my package is. I contacted Dookan several times about the poor behaviour of DHL which are not delivering my package and also not coomunicating about it. It is now almost 2 months later. I asked Dookan explicitly for my money back since i am not interested anymore by receiving this package and the quality of the package if it will ever arrive anyhow. I get no response to my request. Other then a file they complaint at the DHL.

I have to update this review and thank Dookan for refunding my money back on my account after this message.

Avoid if you value your peace of mind

Order placed Dec 9th. Order finally received Dec 30th. Only excuses from Dookan to do with logistical errors with local delivery partners. Funnily enough this happened to me the last time I ordered from this unprofessional outfit back in July 24. Looking at reviews here I can see many have same issues with delivery not being attempted first time etc. Given that customer support is poor and untrustworthy I recommend that unsatisfied customers initiate a chargeback on their debit card. Process is straightforward and can be found online. Only then will this shady company start taking responsibilities for their actions, offer compensation for errors on their part and resolve the issues with DHL once and for all. In 2025, this level of online purchasing and customer service is shoddy and unacceptable to say the least.

Damaged Package, and No Refund/Reshipment/Resolution

I am extremely dissatisfied with the handling of my order placed on 25th October. Out of four packages, three were delivered in good condition on 31st October, while one package was delivered on 3rd November in a completely damaged state—soaked, foul-smelling, and unusable. I reported this immediately on the same day and shared clear photos and videos as proof.

Dookan asked me on 13th Nov to file a claim with their shipping partner. Which I promptly did, after 12 days Sipper responded back to dookan back that the claim was rejected as it was rasied after the claimable period of 7 days once delivered.

Since then, there have only been a few emails and one phone call, but no resolution. Neither a refund nor a replacement has been provided. I also requested Dookan to collect the damaged package, as it was unhygienic to keep it at home. This was ignored, and after a prolonged delay, I was left with no option but to dispose of it myself.

I paid €7.99 in shipping charges, and the value of the damaged products alone was €41. Despite multiple follow-ups over more than six weeks, Dookan has failed to take responsibility. To make matters worse, since 29th November, my emails have been completely ignored.

This level of customer service is unacceptable. The prolonged delays, lack of accountability, and complete absence of communication reflect extremely poorly on Dookan. I expect an immediate resolution, either through a full refund or reshipment, without any further excuses.

This experience has been disappointing and falls short of reasonable customer service standards. The prolonged delays in responding, lack of clear ownership, and gaps in communication have caused unnecessary frustration. I request a prompt resolution to this matter, either through a full refund or reshipment, and clear confirmation of the next steps.

I have been followed by Dookan proactively from 20th December, but due to DHL delay and I received the replacement by 31st December. Thanks.

Mir wurde eine offene Verpackung Reis zugesandt was bei Lebensmittel inakzeptabel ist. Es kann alles drin sein oder woher soll man wissen wie und von wem die Verpackung geöffnet wurde ? Das Produkt wird nicht zurückgenommen stattdessen wird ständig versucht sich herauszureden oder sie versuchen mich anzurufen. Es gibt bei so einem Fall nur ein Lösung waren Rücknahme und Geld zurück.

It was showing that speedy will deliver…

It was showing that speedy will deliver the package but it was interlogistica. The courier without even attending to deliver, they said person is not available even though I was there. After multiple follow up they delivered me. I see reached them more than 10 times.

Stale noodles resulted in Diarrhoea

I ordered several items. instant noodles of brand Wai wai among others. Although the noodles had expiry date in line 5 months, the noodles were stale in smell. While the noodles were supposed to be eaten dry and should be crunchy, but that was not the case. Nonetheless, 2 packs of noodles were consumed by cooking and frying instead. The consequence was a bad bad Diarrhoea.

Al other items were ok.
