Long time Doubletree hotel guest NO LONGER

I stay at the Doubletree in independence oh VERY VERY frequently and now each time seems to be worse than the time before. They are extremely careless when cleaning the rooms to the point I bring my own cleaning supplies and vacuum. My boyfriend and I both ended up with extremely bad sinus infections and couldn’t sleep all night. Come to find out the air conditioner filters must have never been cleaned. I vacuumed them off and then had to scrub them in the bathtub. They were extremely filthy and disgusting. I also had to vacuum the entire room because there were inches of dust and dirt along all the walls not to mention the empty Minute Maid apple juice bottle under the nightstand and old pizza crust and French fries behind the couch. There was also all kinds of food left in the refrigerator, ie) potato salad, cheese, beer and half eaten pizza, that barely worked and called down to the desk twice to have it fixed but still doesn’t get cold. The only good thing, fingers crossed, is that hopefully we will be able to breathe and sleep tonight after cleaning the a/c filters and taking the entire front cover off the a/c unit and vacuuming that as well. Also, it is like pulling teeth trying to get any towels, washcloths, toilet paper etc.... just VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED 😢 also the housekeeping staff comes screaming down the halls around 8am-830am every morning, very rude and unprofessional. Plus the overwhelming stench of marijuana throughout is absolutely ridiculous. I believe the ONLY reason we have even continued to come back up until now, is because the front desk staff is very polite and we have formed a bit of a bond. Except now that that is just not good enough.

I wanted to book a wheelchair…

I wanted to book a wheelchair accessible room at Doubletree filton . Rang the number on the website because they don't disclose their email address - nor do they have a WORKING web chat on the site . After 3 times of ringing a number and being dumped on hold by a robot - I got through to someone with a strong American accent who didn't understand UK English well and kept trying to upsell me and insisted I joined their honours club I would get a whole £1! Off my stay. Gave up as I couldn't really understand what she was going on about . Booked into Travelodge down the road £20 cheaper with parking included ,did it all online - bar one quick phone call to confirm accessibility of room .
The Doubletree is probably a lovely hotel but I will never know as they make it too difficult for me to book in....

Room.was fine

Room.was fine. Disbursement of information poor. I stayed here because they have restaurant. Did not open till 5. Closes by 11 a.m. I arrived at 2 hadn't eaten. I waited for v them to clean room - day 3 I called they said its by request only?? I couldn't find the bar ...its on the 3rd floor. Ugh

I’m a Hilton honor member and I’ve been…

I’m a Hilton honor member and I’ve been to so many Hilton’s , specially in my home state of Mass . I went to one in Cambridge Ma on soldier field road and it was the worst . I didn’t know parking was and extra 50 dollars and then they charged me an extra 250 and said I removed a smoke detector 🙄and accused me of a possibly having a party . I am 43 yrs old having parties in the middle of covid or at a hotel is not my character . I’ve never had an issue with any Hilton until Stay at this location . 1 night stay costed me 550 .

Hoping for a good start to our holiday

We were due to fly to Poland on 25th October 2020 so booked an overnight stay at Double Tree, Edinburgh Airport for the 24th. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely Spanish receptionist, very friendly and knowledgeable, she engaged in conversation and nothing was too much trouble, can't fault this lady at all. We got our key and proceeded to our room. First impressions were good, the room looked clean and smelled fresh. However, after settling into our room, I lay down on the bed and wondered why the skirting boards looked as if the paint was dappled, to my horror it wasn't dappling, it was dust and lots of it. We didn't make a complaint about it although we should have, I only took some photos.
We went downstairs in the evening to enquire about breakfast for the following day half expecting to see the same smiling face we had seen earlier but it was a different receptionist. An older one who didn't have the same approach to her work as her colleague earlier. She almost had a "Hurry up because I can't be bothered" attitude, didn't come across as friendly and gave no explanation to us when she left the reception to deal with something in another area.
I booked Double Tree because we wanted something slightly better than the norm to start our holiday, aside from the lovely receptionist when we checked in, there was nothing 'slightly better' about this hotel. We wouldn't stay there again.

Nottingham Double Tree

Nottingham Double Tree. Excellent stay! Last minute booking! But still paid a great price. Met by Alex (night duty manager). Great welcome; polite, friendly and a great sense of humour. We went as a newly wedded couple, Alex upgraded our stay in whichever way he could. He made us feel special. Overall everything was perfect. Did not have a single issue throughout our two day stay. Would definitely use this hotel again. Thank you

Amazing Stay

We spent a week in the Lincoln Doubletree and had an amazing stay. Robert on the front desk was a credit to Hilton and resolved a situation for us professionally and courteously. Highly recommended.

Doubletree Swindon

I am staying now and they are allowing people to wander around the hotel without a mask unchallenged.

4 welsh chaps were checking in without masks and were allowed to do so until I enquired about masks.

That same evening they were taking drinks orders at the bar in contravention to the law and members of the original group were wandering around the premises without masks and took umberage when I told them to put masks on

Still waiting for refund for London…

Still waiting for refund for London Excel hotel booked for April which we cancelled in March as soon as we found out the London Marathon was cancelled. Have chased a number of times via phone, email and twitter and keep being told that we can’t have a refund until the hotel is open. Our second booking for the London Marathon at the Premier Inn in October was refunded to us on the day we cancelled. I’ve now been waiting nearly 6 months for a refund I was told initially would be processed in 10 days.

Spent 4 nights in Lincoln Double Tree…

Spent 4 nights in Lincoln Double Tree whilst working. Cracking service during these difficult times thanks to the chap at breakfast, Mr Clarke, who, although I only wanted coffee, went above and beyond. A credit to the company. Thank you.

Très décevant

Nous avions réservé 2 nuits en chambre supérieure avec terrasse au Hilton de Carcassonne via” Voyage Privé.com “ .
A l’arrivée, l’hôtel ne nous propose qu'une chambre standard - sans terrasse -
Nous protestons : ils nous répondent qu’ils n’ont plus de chambre supérieure de disponible et que Voyage Privé a commis une erreur .
N’ayant pas pu joindre VoyagePrivé.com sur le numéro d’urgence (!!), nous avons du nous contenter d’une chambre standard pour le même prix, évidemment :
Chambre exiguë, petit déjeuner très décevant : bacon , saucisses froids, œufs brouillés mauvais , machine à café en panne, personnel peu amène : on comprends qu’ils servent du champagne au petit déj’ pour anesthésier la clientèle .

Particulièrement décevant pour un 5 étoiles .
