Fat Dumplin' at the duck pond.
We had a great first day with Duck Pond Richmond. Lovely people all around and a very well organised market. It was easy to set up, trade and then break down with no fuss and clear instructions. Fantastic use of space and all kind to the environment 🙏
I absolutely love being a stallholder…
I absolutely love being a stallholder at Duck Pond Market! 🥰✨
It’s such a lovely, fun and welcoming market, with a really special atmosphere. There’s something for everyone, from beautiful handmade products and natural, sustainable goods to unique little treasures you won’t find on the high street.
As a candle maker, I love being surrounded by so many talented small businesses and makers who put so much love into what they create. 🕯️🤍 It’s the perfect place to shop consciously, support independent businesses and discover something a little different.
Whether you’re coming to browse, shop, eat, chat or simply soak up the atmosphere, the Duck Pond Market is such a lovely day out. I’m always so excited to be there with my Bella Mae candles and see familiar faces as well as new ones.
If you haven’t been yet, definitely come along — you won’t be disappointed! 🌿✨
Great Markets
We love being at the Duck Pond Markets in Harrow, Ruislip and Richmond. They are a very successful organisation and we benefit from their success.
Really nice experience
Lovely team, great location, and a really good mix of stalls and stallholders. It was our first time, selling items made in Uganda by beneficiaries of a charity we support, and we didnt sell quite as much as we hoped but will return as we feel the Christmas season is going to work better for the type of things we are selling.
Brilliant organisation for independent companies to showcase
As an independent brand we were delighted to be accepted at Duck Pond and couldn't be happier with the wonderful community they have created.
Hope the UK has more of these efforts as that is exactly what we all need!
Ethos doesnt match the reality
I visited the market expecting a genuinely local artisan market that prioritised local makers and producers, but I left feeling somewhat disappointed.
There were certainly some talented local craftspeople present, and it's important to recognise the effort and skill that many stallholders bring. However, what surprised me was how little of the market actually felt local.
For a market that promotes the idea of supporting local businesses and keeping money within the local community, there seemed to be a significant number of products sourced from much further afield. We saw continental cheeses and cured meats, products made from imported materials, and even items such as Pies from a business in Melton Mowbray travelling well over 100 miles to be sold here. Whilst these may be excellent products, they don't really align with the image of a local market supporting local producers.
There was also a large amount of overlap between some stalls, particularly jewellery, while the overall mix of traders felt more like a general craft and gift fair than a carefully curated local artisan market.
My criticism is aimed at the organisers rather than the stallholders. If the market wishes to include regional, national and imported products, that's entirely their choice. However, I believe greater transparency would help visitors understand what "local" actually means in practice.
At the moment, the branding suggests a market centred on local businesses and local production, but the reality appears considerably broader than that. I would encourage the organisers to either tighten the focus on genuinely local traders and local busineses or be clearer about the criteria used so customers know exactly what to expect.
That would make the market stronger, a lot fairer and more authentic for both visitors and traders alike.

Santos was really helpful and so were the other traders. Although a small market it is very well organised and looks delightful. Bunting gives it a festive look, but some of the individual flags need replacing Weather was not good and we presume that was the reason for the lack of footfall. The weather forecast was far worse than what we actually experienced. Stalls were beautifully set up by the traders and good quality products. Looking forward to your Christmas markets
It’s such a great friendly atmosphere…
It’s such a great friendly atmosphere between stall holders and Joel the duck pond market manager. A superb location and in my home town. I’ve done 3-4 markets here now and it just keeps getter better. Give it a try, you’ll love it,

A Lovely First Market Experience
We had such a lovely first experience at Duck Pond Market in Richmond!
The whole day had a really nice atmosphere, and everyone we met was so friendly. It was especially nice to chat with the other stallholders and share our first market experience together.
Mike was lovely and gave us some really helpful feedback on our stall and products. The team were also friendly and helpful throughout the day, and everything was well organised.
We really enjoyed being part of the market and would definitely love to come back again!
Thank you Duck Pond Market! ♡

I had a wonderful experience attending…
I had a wonderful experience attending the Richmond Market as a trial stallholder. From the moment I arrived, I was very impressed by the beautiful location, the welcoming atmosphere, and the excellent organisation of the market.
I really enjoyed being surrounded by such a lovely selection of sellers and meeting the visitors who came to the market. There was a very positive and friendly energy throughout the day, and I felt that it was a fantastic environment to showcase my handmade work.
The market has a great character and attracts a lovely mix of people, making it a very enjoyable experience for both sellers and customers. I particularly appreciated how pleasant and supportive the overall experience was.
I would highly recommend Richmond Market to other independent and handmade sellers. I thoroughly enjoyed my trial stall and would be very happy to return. It was a genuinely lovely experience, and I look forward to being part of the market again. Thank you.

Duck Pond Market
This was first time at Duck Pond Market, Marlow and my experience was amazing! Theo was incredibly welcoming, informative and accommodating throughout the whole day. Whenever I had a question or was unsure on something, Theo was there to help right away.
The location for the market was lovely and met some lovely people on neighbouring stalls (ended up exchanging details). I've already booked my spot for two weeks time. Look forward to joining Theo and the Duck Pond team again!
Wonderful first market experience
This was our first ever market as a small start-up business, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Duck Pond Market. The team was very helpful, friendly and supportive (just made us feel very welcome!), and everything was well organised.
It was a great opportunity for us to introduce to more customers and gain confidence as a new small business. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and meeting the other stallholders too.
Thank you to the whole Duck Pond Market team for making our first market experience such a positive and enjoyable one. We’re looking forward to coming back and trading with you again!
