Highly rate Easy PPL for helping towards passing all of the PPL theory exams first time. When the exams changed from paper to online, it wasn't long before the content and questions on the material were updated to reflect the new process which shows the effort and professionalism which goes into keeping it all relevant. This gave me confidence going in to each exam. I owe a huge thanks to Easy PPL for getting me through and highly recommend to anyone going through their PPL.

I used Easy PPL Ground School for to prepare for 7 of the 9 theory exams, and the Flight Radio Telephony Operator's Licence. For my first two theory exams I employed the standard books used by most PPL flight schools. The books were okay, and I luckily passed both exams on first attempt. But I certainly was not confident during either exam.

I believed there had to be something better out there. Something that was interesting to read. Something that regularly reinforced the learning objectives. Something that could provide meaningful support if you got stuck or needed clarification on a topic. After looking at a variety of printed study guides and online options I came across Easy PPL Ground School. Without a doubt, it has proven to me to be the best option when studying for your PPL in the UK. Here are my six reasons why:

1) Easy to read content. For many this may seem like a minor point. Because of mild dyslexia words and letters can sometimes ‘jump around’ on a page, requiring extra concentration, which can be tiring. The font style, size, and colour, can make reading easy or slow and painful. For me, Easy PPL Ground School's content was easy to read, straight forward, and very digestible.

2) Lots of progress tests as you make your way through the content of each course, with brilliant explanations for each answer.

3) End of course exams, also with brilliant explanations for each answer. There are several exams for each course to truly test your understanding.

4) Nigel, Lee, and team at Easy PPL Ground School, always providing outstanding support. If I needed clarification on any of the content, or if I did not fully understand the explanation to an exam question, a simple email resulted in their very quick and detailed response.

5) Rapid updating of content. Unlike a published book, which can take months or years to be updated, because Easy PPL Ground School is online, updates happen within hours. For example, additional explanations that helped me understand a topic or question were immediately updated online to help others too.

6) Zoom calls with highly skilled PPL examiners for radio telephony exam preparation. Brilliant coaching for the actual FRTOL assessment. They really do help correct any of the bad habits that may have rubbed off from your flight instructor, ensuring your communication protocol and syntax is exam perfect.

Of course you still have to put in the effort and study the material. Easy PPL Ground School is much more straight forward and easier to digest than any of the traditional books or resources often used in PPL flight schools. Armed with this competency it then makes for easy reading of things like the CAA's CAP 694 (The UK Flight Planning Guide), or CAP 413 (Radiotelephony Manual), etc.

I'm happy to say when I sat my exams I was very confident I would easily pass them on first sitting, achieving 100% for many or at most one wrong answer. Thank you Easy PPL Ground School!

I took Air Law recently having used the Air Pilot's Manual and associated revision book for training material; I aced all the progress tests, did the seven mock exams in the separate booklet and scored 95% or 100% on all seven. So I went into the test fairly confident of success, and promptly failed. (Particularly embarrassing as I'm a qualified lawyer!)

Those books are great as far as they go (and I'm still going to use them for the other subjects), but they just don't prepare one *enough* for the new e-exams, which are completely unlike the paper exams that preceded them, and which ask very detailed questions that require a really thorough understanding of the field.

I regrouped, put my faith in Easy PPL Ground School instead and, after four days' hard work on the web course, have just scored 100% on my second attempt!

Easy PPL Ground School had been recommended to me by my flight school right at the beginning of my training and I wish I'd listened sooner. Yes, it isn't brilliant on a mobile telephone, and yes, there are some typos here and there, but if you put the effort in you'll come away with a thorough understanding of the subject matter and you'll be able to handle with ease whatever is thrown at you in the exams. I'll definitely be using it for the remaining eight subjects and am now much more confident of success. Thank you!

I purchased the preparation course for the practical RT exam, which involved 2 one to one sessions spread out over 2 days.

For the first session, you will thoroughly go over a mock route that covers a broad spectrum of radio calls that are made to each type of ATSU. RT for emergencies and direction finding are also covered, as well as MATZ crossing / zone transits. The mock routes will attempt to cover everything you will face in the real exam.

The second session just like the first will be another mock route, but will be treated as a mock exam and no feedback will be given until the end.

The course overall was extremely useful. The instructor (shoutout to Lee) was well organised, knowledgable, and gave me all the material I needed beforehand.

As I near the final stages of my PPL training this course is exactly what I needed to gain confidence in RT, and also iron out differences in how I was taught vs CAP413 which the instructor for this course picked up on.

I really enjoyed it, and would recommend it to any PPL student.

Easy to digest information allowing me to learn air law content quickly. Everything has a context, you are learning the why and not just the rule! The progress test and end of course test are great for seeing where there are gaps in your knowledge!

Although you may find the odd typo and one or two of the exam question answers are worthy of debate, the material and support provided are excellent.
If you just want to do the minimum work necessary to scrape a pass in the exam and gamble the odd fail then there are alternative cramming options. If, on the other hand you want to read first rate explanations of subject matter, gain understanding and become a better pilot, this is the course for you. Put the effort in, follow the guidence, complete the material and the above 3 objectives will be met. Thanks guys, I have now completed and passed all my exams - thank you.

Absolutely outstanding course material, the 30 years of instructor experience shows in the depth and knowledge of all the subjects. I am going through a revalidation after 16 years not flying and this has been instrumental in getting me back up to speed on the theory element very quickly. Bravo to Nigel and the team - this has to be the new normal with regards to training and not having to have your head in hard copy books. Its also great fun, intuitive and the course exam at the end really does let you know a) if you have grasped the subject matter, and b) if some of it you didn't, an explanation as to what you got wrong and why. To summarise - well worth the money if you put the effort in.

I've been using Easy PPL for the ground exams, instead of the Pooley's books, and sailed though Air Law, Ops & Aircraft General so far, I can't recommend them highly enough. I find the format very engaging & there is a very large question bank that is invaluable, especially in the final prep for the exams (my tip, don't stop at the required 3 mock exams, keep repeating until you've exhausted the bank & review both right & wrong answers as they give you full explanations afterwards).

Currently into circuits (flying from Biggin means circuits at Southend or Lydd usually) & wanted something to up my game & comfort in RT (flying around SE inc. Class D, RT taking up too much of my brain capacity !) & took up their full RT course. Very helpful & full of practical tips for both the Comms exam & FRTOL practical, inc. 2 full mock practicals at the end.

If you have the FRTOL practical coming up, or are struggling with RT generally, the RT courses are well worth considering.

I started my exams using the books by Pooley, had to say even though I managed to pass my first 2 exams they were a struggle and made me feel unprepared. I switched to the easyPPL courses and the following 4 exams I easily got 100% and I felt much more prepared. Will be using them for the remainder of my exams for sure. You might pay a little extra but it’s good value considering the up to date content and also the option to ask an instructor on anything you’re not sure about. 5*

I have been using EasyPPL for last couple of weeks and was quite reluctant to register but since I registered my knowledge was kicked forward. And so happy now. A lot of useful stuff and very fast contact after you don't understand something you ask and you get very clear answer. Absolutely recommended. Thanks you guys and happy landings.

Easy PPL Ground School have really supported me throughout my PPL exams. Working through the mock tests has allowed me to gain high marks. Questions I did not understand were answered by an instructor in very little time, with an in-depth solution on how they got to a particular answer.

I have used Easy PPL study pack and practice questions to pass 6 of 9 ground exams. I can confirm that the study pack and the practice questions mirror the actual PPL ground exam questions.

Based on my level of satisfaction with the 6 study packs that I subscribed to, I am using Easy PPL currently to prepare for RT practical exam. My preparations with Lee Merritt have been a major confidence builder for the RT practical.

A fellow student recommended Easy PPL to me when I first began my PPL training. I'm now approaching my final PPL exam and have been using Easy PPL all the way.

The course materials are excellent - very thorough, easy to understand and absolutely accurate (unlike some popular books that I could mention). Plus, the interim tests are great to break up the study and keep you on track. I highly recommend going for the full Easy PPL course (not just the exam questions). The full package is good value and you get so much more with it for just a small additional cost. I found that the 1 month access per subject was more than enough to get me through each topic.

The mock exams themselves are pretty close to the real thing, and there are a good variety of questions (enough for multiple attempts at the exams). In every subject I have felt very prepared and I've achieved 100% in many of my real life exams. I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to do this without Easy PPL.

Finally, a special recommendation for the additional Easy PPL R/T practical course. This is conducted in person over Zoom and is also well worth doing. The instructors / mock examiners really know their stuff and I learned a massive amount doing it.

All in all, I highly recommend Easy PPL to new students and those wishing to brush up and get back into flying.

I cannot see why you wouldn’t learn this way!

All of the information is explained; you gain a thorough knowledge of the subject; progress tests at appropriate stages through the course; mock exams with a superb array of questions at the end.

You go into the exam ready to show the examiner all that you know rather than thinking “did i study enough”. So well prepared

I’ve passed everything at the first attempt so far (one to go!) and have used EasyPPL the whole way.

It works on all devices which means i can study for 30mins at lunch (or on the train) on my phone; a few hours in the evening on my laptop or PC. Wherever

It just works.

I started my PPl theory study in May of this year (2021). Having initially done some research, I discovered Easy PPl, and decided to sign up and give it a go... Definitely the best decision I could have made regarding a study resource!
(I might add that since I introduced Easy PPl to my flight school in June, they now advise and recommend that every student should study this way, and are now seeing a vast improvement in the exam success rates.)
Easy PPl provides you with the most accurate and up to date learning tool available, at a very reasonable cost. It will help you to successfully complete the 9 theory exams, and also most importantly, will provide you with the necessary theoretical knowledge to fly safely!
Easy PPL also provides an 'ask an instructor' service as part of your subscription. Although I only used this service on two occasions, the replies were very prompt and certainly within 1 hour of sending a question!
I completed my final exam yesterday which was FP&P. Along with Navigation, they are both in my opinion the two most challenging of the exams. Thanks to Easy PPL and its fantastic progress tests and exam question bank database, (which are presented to you in the almost identical format as those you will experience during the official e-exams) I passed both with a 100% pass mark!
I have now completed and passed all nine exams at the first attempt, with an overall average pass mark of 94.8%! The study took me just under 6 Months to complete with approximately 240 hours logged on the Easy PPL web site.
With a little dedication and some hard work, learning via Easy PPL will ensure you have the most up to date and accurate information to allow you to successfully pass the theoretical exams with ease.

I have done 5 exams at the moment,
And its worth every single penny I have paid
The question bank are not literally the same as the exam
But its quite the similar concept and its 100% useful to prepare for any PPL Exam

I strongly recommend using their study materials and question banks.

I have just taken the RT practical exam preparation course with Lee which was excellent. In-depth preparation session with a walkthrough of all the main scenarios you are likely to see in the exam, set against a practice route, with detailed feedback on areas for improvement. This is then followed by a mock exam and feedback. The quality of the content is very high and the range of scenarios mean you will be very well prepared for the real exam (and improve your radio game in the air!). Highly recommended.

I have used Easy PPL for all my ground school exams and I passed them all with a minimum of 90%. This is in no small way down to the Easy PPL courses and tests. The pages are interesting and easy to understand (although some take several goes and of course there may be supplementary work on YouTube for example in areas where this is needed and for me this was meteorology) but the courses were fun and I feel very well prepared for my flying test. My instructor was consistently impressed with my understanding and this is also down to Easy PPL. Can't recommend too highly.
