EbookTrip should actually receive 0 stars

I would actually give this OTA 0 stars is that was an option. They CONSTANTLY AND CONSISTENTLY add flight itinerary options on a number of OTA search engines for international business class airfares. Once you go through the purchase process you get a call saying that fare is no longer available but is $1,400 more per passenger and tell you the price is more because I didn’t book directly from their website. It should not be allowed for any OTA to put prices on a search engine app if that price was NEVER AVAILABLE. JUST WRONG

Greedy-not good at their job-no empathy

I have never been so disgusted by customer service in my life.

First of all, when booking the ticket and having provided them with all our passports - -they neglected to tell me that Egypt has a 6 month validity requirement on passports. My husband and I were traveling to accompany my elderly mother to visit family in Egypt. At first I blamed myself for not being more diligent about research but then was told that MOST AGENCIES and MOST AIRLINES notifiy their customers upon booking -- to advise them. BECAUSE IT IS THEIR JOB.

We didn't find out until the night before we were to travel. We had booked the tickets 2 months earlier and had SO many interactions with ebookings -- but my husband wasn't able to travel, and I didn't go either. And before you ask, NO. They didn't provide a full refund.

We had purposely chosen QATAR airways because they have exceptional reviews for business class and though my husband and I were traveling economy, my mother would travel in business. The airline took excellent care of her and she said it was a great experience.

I purchased my own ticket WITHOUT ebookings to go get my mom and bring her home when she was ready.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen. She got sick while overseas and passed away.

It's been a lot in the last 2 months --
When I called ebookings (after being told by airline they couldn't refund her return ticket because I had gone through this ebookings -- which by the way hides all sorts of fees so they're 'affordable' pricing is actually WAY more expensive) -- the service I received was atrocious.

1. When I told the representative why I was calling, he is the first person in customer service I have interacted with since her death who did not offer condolences or warmth of any kind.

2. When I became impatient and angry that he was telling me that there was nothing they could do and i needed to call the airline (who had sent me to him) -- he then backtracked and spoke to me as if I was being unreasonable because he said ther was nothing he could do to help me -- but now, since i'm yelling and screaming at him -- MAYBE he could do something.

3. I started crying because my grief is still new and he said, "Hey. Stop. Calm down. You need to be strong right now."

To which I responded, "Crying is NOT a weakness."

ALL of this was just atrocious.
Frankly, I was expecting, "We are so sorry for you loss and this difficult time. There are some procedures we need to go through to confirm some things. We're sorry to ask you to do this, could you please send us the death certificate and we will see what we can do for you."

Why was I expecting that? BECAUSE THEY ARE A TRAVEL AGENCY AND IT IS THEIR JOB TO HELP ME.

With regards to your query in particular, you were looking on the refund for the return portion of your tickets. Unfortunately you have made changes to the return portion of your Ticket with the Airline directly instead of checking with the Travel agency with whom you have originally purchased the Tickets from.

The Thumb Rule of any Airline on any Travel Agency Ticket says that “If the Airline does any final modification to any Travel Agency Tickets then the Agency Losses the access of the Tickets and the Agency won’t be able to help the customer in future. Whereas, only Airline would have the access to the Tickets instead of the Travel Agency “

So in your case, the refund cannot be processed by the Agency since you have made the changes to the return Ticket with the Airline Directly instead of getting it done through us due to which the Agency have lost the access to your Tickets. I would request you to reach the Airline directly regarding your query. Once again we apologize for the trouble you faced.

Do not book with this site. They offered the cheapest rate but charge you a fee a day after.

This was the worst experience. The agency cancelled my flight and reissued a flight but they did not do it correctly. My flight was not found in the system and I had to rebook my flight to a different day. Do not trust this site. It’s a scam. They also offered the cheapest rate but then would charge you a fee a day after.

Schedule changes are never controlled by the travel agents and are affected by multiple factors including but not limited to weather conditions and the airline’s ability to make that connection on that day.

This site sets low flight prices online…

This site sets low flight prices online so that you book online with them. Then they email you to call them because of a “booking problem”. Once you call, they say the flight you booked is no longer available and they push you to buy a different more expensive fight. I know this is their scam because I booked online 3 times with them all within 2 weeks, and each time, it was the same speech. Super waste of time. Don’t even bother

I booked two times a flight with them and they are the worst kid sees the first time I got an email saying my flight was canceled so I called them and they said I didn’t call within the 24 hours so they canceled and my price went up the second time I booked it I called right away to verify my flight and they said that the price went up as well because of high demand, then why you advertise a price and I get the booking done and everything and then after I’m done, you guys always raise your price

Booked thru Trivago

Booked thru Trivago. I received an email saying it would get a confirmation the next day. I got a call from an 800 number claiming that I could not get the price that was advertised and it would have to charge me $300 more. I thought it was a scam call. A few minutes later I got an email saying that my flight is cancelled!!! This is definitely a scam!! DO NOT BOOK THRU THEM!

I bought the 2 tickets from the website and paid with credit card. I got my email confirmation and number after 1 hour they sent me a email that your credit card didn’t go through!!!! I called them and he tried to give me some BS and also trying to sell much higher value tickets. This is scam please be careful! I am going to report this business very soon.

Great Customer Service

We tried to book tickets online but was not successful. When I called the number, I spoke with Eresto, who was very, very helpful!! He found us some tickets we are pleased with and waited on the phone while we called our credit card company after they rejected our purchase. He sent us the new Interary and allowed us to look it over before booking the tickets. He was so helpful and friendly!

Frustrated…something

I had the pleasure of working with Katherine Clark (Ext. 1033). Katherine had excellent customer service skills and took great care of all details thoroughly. She checked on me to make sure my flight details were correct and my ticket processed correctly.
BUT, on the flip side, here’s the NEGATIVE part of my experience- I booked my flight at the listed price and available times that showed available for that flight and it processed and gave me a confirmation #.
I then received an email stating there was an issue with processing and that my flight was not available. Once I contacted online booking, I was able to book the exact same flight, same times and seat choices but was charged a much higher price for the same flight. This makes no sense to me! How was I able to get the exact same flight, times and seat choice after being told the first booked flight was sold out and unavailable?! This sounded like a rip off to get more money. Due to traveling with a group, I had no option but to pay the higher price for the flight.
