I am extremely frustrated with ECE. Their customer service is a nightmare. The phone number they provide just rings and then the call disconnects—there is no way to reach them. Emails are ignored, and when they do respond, they completely avoid the actual request and talk about something else entirely.

I have sent multiple requests for a refund, and after three attempts, I still have no resolution. This is unacceptable for a company handling important credential evaluations.

If you are considering ECE, be aware: their service is unprofessional, unresponsive, and causes unnecessary stress. Avoid at all costs. I lost 252$

What is the worst thing that could happen to your diploma from Europe? That’s right—they send it to the wrong state, and you can’t retrieve it. And all they’ll offer to do is refund the fee for the evaluation.

I’m using ECE for a credential/transcript evaluation (Ref: P02679) and my experience has been very disappointing due to slow processing and lack of communication.

I started the process on Jan 24 and needed the evaluation for time‑sensitive PhD applications. My university (University of East London) emailed my transcript to ECE on Feb 3. ECE later stated they could not verify the sender’s authority, so they would not use the documents. I then followed ECE’s instructions and the university resent the transcript on Feb 24 from the official university mailbox including written confirmation that their Student Hub is authorised to issue official academic records, and re‑attached the transcript.

Despite this, ECE has not provided clear confirmation of acceptance, a reliable status update, or a timeline. I also did not receive replies to my emails and had to use chat just to try to get basic information.

For a service that charges significant fees, the customer service and responsiveness are not acceptable—especially when applicants are working against strict deadlines. I hope ECE improves communication, provides timely updates, and escalates time‑sensitive cases more effectively.

I wish I had read the reviews before sending my documents. This has been the worst experience, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. For the first copy, I ordered an electronic version, yet they still charged $17 for shipping. After that, there was no option to send it digitally. Every time you need to order a copy, it costs $62.

They make it super super hard and difficult specially for immigrants who wants to continue the education in US, wasted money and time and efforts

I highly recommend ECE. I received my reports, they delivered me in less then 2 months once I submitted my originals and I received good GPA too. Their customer service is also good and quick.

Terrible. Right from the start they focus on the "presentation" of your documents. Sealed envelope from university...secure messaging system....etc. It's almost as if they do no work at all. The student name, student ID number, graduation date should be enough to validate a degree IF they are doing the actual work behind the scenes. But I suspect they do not do any real research, just present your documents in the way they want and automatic acceptance.

They FORCE you to receive a paper copy of the completed report. There is no option to get a digital/.pdf/ of the official report. You are FORCED to pay an extra courier fee to have a paper report delivered and if you are not in the US that can likely be as much as 75% extra for what you paid for the evaluation to begin with! This is the part that really upset me. This is 2025. I dont need paper. I need a .pdf I can attach to emails or submit online!

Slow service. My international tracking showed my documents arrived on a Monday. It took them until Friday ( 3 business days later) to even acknowledge my documents were received. Then according to them a delay and insted of the usual 5 busines day processing I should expect 10 business days...all of this despite paying extra for the "insignia" service

Dont use this company. Spend a bit more with one of the more expensive yet can get things done services. This company may be legit, but their customer service and wait times make them feel like a total scam. I am 5 weeks in and still do not have my documents credited. Shameful

I would give ECE a 5 for their assistance and support. They answer all my questions and had the best evaluator to work on and support me. They are very patient and supportive to help and guide me what type of evaluation is best to reach my goal.

I used ECE first around March 2023 and got 2.9/4 and was shocked. Then I used WES, with exactly the same transcript and got 3.4/4, which is much more consistent with actual academic performance. ECE’s methodology of rounding up the credits is super wired and unscientific and there are typos and misspellings on the final report as well. It was a gigantic disappointment over ECE’s service. Be cautious in choosing this evaluation company.

I asked them for a review of my PhD, masters and bachelor and understood from their instructions that I should send in my original diplomas. So I did that. They were fairly responsive in rejecting them, because they instead wanted them sent directly from university. I felt that was a very complicated way and I could not figure out how my university could do that, so I asked for a refund and return. It seems they complied with that, and I just got a notification that the courier service will be arriving today. So - all in all a medium-level experience, with no success - but to be fair ECE did actually respond in a timely manner and according to instructions.

Please, people should stay away from these evil people, they are not a good evaluation company. They will destroy your academic Credentials/degree in one day, after making a lot of efforts to order your credentials from abroad. They don’t do research about someone institution and course/subject. In evaluation docs they will not even mention the name of your school because they don’t research and they don’t care. They don’t know what they are doing. They take people credential as nothing and they will destroy your future and claiming that they are right. Please, please, please don’t waste your time and money and resources to help them condemn your academic degree instantly just in a day in their so-called evaluations. They are nasty and horrible and nightmare. They are malicious. Please, stay away. I warn you sternly unless you want to damage your future and their customer and communication is 0. This company ECE don’t suppose to be a NACES member because they are bad egg and wolf in the sheep cloth. They will discriminate your school and say horrible things about it and school you applied will easily believe them.

I stayed on the chat 2 days trying get an agent to talk with, every time after waiting for 30-40 minutes they close the chat when its my turn

took them a month to get back to an associate of mine, and they gave the bare minimum - basically admitting that after a month they could not provide the official translation of her previous education (from French to English). The only positive highlight is that they didn't have the gall to believe they deserved the pay for the time they wasted and issued a refund. She only had to pay $15 for the useless piece of paper they produced.

So it does take full five work days to generate a valid report, as stated on their website. BUT what they won't tell you is that, they responded extremely slow on mails. They required an official transcript from my previous Univ. to do the evaluation. They did not process the package until I contacted the agent after the mail had arrived over a week! (the first time contact they stated the packaged had not arrived. The next day when I get back to them again they said it just arrived :))
Finally, after over a month, a valid report was generated. The electronic report, unfortunately, cannot be submitted to any institute as it is FYR only. And you have to wait for a mailed one. AGAIN, they stated that they sent out the item to USPS on Friday, but now on Tuesday, it is "label created, awaiting item" on USPS. And don't forget you are charged additionally for the mailing service!
Conclusion: avoid this company as much as you can. Otherwise, expect two months to get your service done.
First time ever in my life to waste ten minutes on a review. But it is nothing compared to almost two months of waste on this ridiculous service for only a valid certificate.

Absolute scam, they charged me $270 to NOT accept my documents and there's no refund. AVOID!

Terrible experience!!! They do not follow their dead lines, they don’t pay attention to your messages and take forever. I specifically asked to confirm that they have all required documents, they sent me a confirmation email that they do and then a week!!!! later they requested a marriage certificate with questions how come you last name is different, even though you enter all that information in the application (your maiden name) and after they received that, they said it’s going to be another 3-5 days!!!! It’s been 17 days, no report still …. My husband had a great experience with WES, I wish I used them instead :((

Downgraded my law degree to a non-law degree! Stay away if you are trying to sit for a bar exam in the US. I requested their services because their name was on the list of the CA State Bar as provider. I requested their services for them to make a report for my Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the UK to be found as it should a first degree in law. I was told this week by the CA state bar I was not eligible for the exam because the report is stating this is only an undergrad diploma and not even a first degree in law. When I reach to them to raise my concerned the evaluator responded that no change will be made because in their judgment this was an accurate representation of the LLB.

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
I wish I had read the reviews before using them to evaluate my transcripts. There were multiple errors in my evaluation so I contacted customer service and got very little help , I first paid for a High School and University Level Course by Course but had to change after two months of back and forth because they wouldn't recognize the official school Academy of lille worker that sent my baccalaureate grades multiple times ! Then did a course by course but they later ( 3 months ) found that the official school transcript of my second year of university was not good enough for them ? Even though they knew I had a deadline and the costs of everything was already expensive I had to go to the post office many times , just to get scammed by them. They therefore told me to get a general report but gave me no credits because apparently my school was not recognized at the time , but it is obvious that they have not done their research because university in France is always recognized especially a bachelors which is called licence in France that is done in 3 years is one of the hardest diplomas to get, they got my first and second year transcripts sent directly by the school and that wasn't enough! They just lie and try to scam international students ! If they had actually done even a little research they would know that I was in the TOP 5 BUSINESS SCHOOLS IN FRANCE and passed so it is impossible to not even get one credit or gpa ! They are scammers , the customer service is slow and horrible , please stay away from them ! To this day I don't even know if they evaluated my high school diploma?
They are incompetent.

Horrible experience with several students, this is unbelievable

After a terrible experience with WES that almost cost my job opportunity, I decided to try the ECE.

I could not have found a better company. Everything was very straight forward and I go my credentials in a week (while I waited for 2 months for Wes, and I’m still waiting just to see how long they will play with me)

Costumer service was also very friendly and responsive. ECE saved my dream.
