I'm a true blue repeat customer of Edisons.

I've bought a few different items from Edisons in the past 18 months or so.
Yeah...most of the machinery is made in China but I've been absolutely impressed with the quality of the tools/machinery that I've bought.
Edisons prices are the best, coupled with free and fast delivery.
Hard to beat.

My latest purchase from Edisons last Friday 7 February 2025 has got me a little concerned though.
It was picked up from Edisons by their courier,
Hunter Express on
8 February 2025.
Tracking shows that my order has remained static in Hunter Express depot since that date.
Today is 11 February 2025 and it's still there.
Yes...I know that it's free shipping but I'm now beginning to wonder when my package will begin to move.
Hopefully it will end well but after reading some horror reviews about Hunter Express, I'm left questioning why a reputable mob like Edisons would continue to use a poorly rated courier.
Surely they would know that disgruntled customers seldom return for repeat business.
I'm quite prepared to eat humble pie if I'm proved wrong with my judgement.

I just received notification from Hunter Express that my delivery is on the move. Maybe delivery today.

Big slice of humble pie coming up for me.

EDIT number 2:
My package arrive late today,
12 February 2025. Updates to my phone all along the way showing where Hunter Express courier guy was.
It was a hefty 45 kg carton with my new BAUMR- AG log splitter.
The carton was in pristine condition, the Hunter Express guy wheeled it safely into my garage. He was friendly, polite and a pleasure to do business with.
On opening the carton later, I found that the log splitter was in perfect condition, no dings, damage or scrapes.

Inexpensive garden shredder

Was looking for an inexpensive garden shredder and the reviews on this one seem good even though the other big brand has one that looks identical! Have yet to test but purchase and delivery was smooth and went well.

End to end great service

From enquiry through purchase to receipt of the 6 stage pump all went well. The pump is installed and operational now delivering great pressure.

FRAUDULENT $500 SHIPPING COSTS

I got my products shipped to my parents address, as i have done in the past with Edisons, as it meant shipping was free, but an almost $500 shipping fee was added after I placed my order. Edisons have refused to refund the RIDICULOUS FRAUDULENT SHIPPING COST, and stopped responding to my emails.
DISCUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY buy local instead.

Firstly, we want to emphasize that our team has reviewed your order and confirmed that the shipping charge of $456.61 was correctly applied based on the delivery postcode (6210) and the size and weight of the items.

While we do offer Free Shipping on many products, this is limited to specific metropolitan areas.

Unfortunately, your parents' postcode does not fall within one of the zones eligible for free shipping for the products you purchased, and that’s why the shipping fee was applied.

We’d also like to point out that during the checkout process, our system displays the final shipping cost before you confirm your order. It’s important to ensure that all details, including the delivery postcode, are correct during checkout, as this is where the system calculates the accurate shipping fee based on your location.

While we wish we could offer free shipping everywhere, the fees are based on delivery location and are accurate according to our standard procedures.

I bought EDISONS substandard goods

Hi FTG& Mitch:
If you sell your machine products to other states, you should have a repair station in the local area! In this way, if buyers encounter product quality problems, they can send them to nearby repair stations for repair. This is a common practice and a normal practice that consumers will accept. But now you (1) sell inferior products; (2) enslave consumers to spend more losses, to follow your authoritarian orders, and to pay for your mistakes! Hi Mitch: You ordered me to go to the bunnings to get cartons for packaging. (1) It takes time and manpower to get the cartons; (2) It also takes time and manpower to pack. Are these not worth the money? You deliberately ignored such a simple truth! All the time and manpower spent were caused by the inferior products you sold. Do you think your mistakes should be borne by the buyers? You are such a shameless person!

I bought EDISONS substandard goods. It has caused me a lot of trouble, time and money loss. You should not increase my loss, including time. If your goods are qualified products, these problems will not happen! Please take your responsibility. Send someone to the address to pick up the substandard goods!
I bought a garden shredder from edisons. It broke after 3 uses. I contacted them, and they said to post it back to
them. They also said that it is my responsibility if it broke. I can post it back, but on 2 conditions. 1. they pay for
packaging, 2. it is not my responsibility if it breaks. Also the manager was not listed on the website, and the people
who emailed me didn't even put there last names.
I am a buyer in Brisbane. edisons does not have a repair station in Brisbane, which is a huge obstacle for them. edisons also asked me to mail /send by post it to New South Wales to be responsible for the packaging costs and safe and intact delivery guarantee, which infringes on the interests of customers.Regards

We are extremely disappointed to hear about your review.

We strive to provide good quality products at affordable prices, and we stand behind the items we sell. Our customer support team is always ready to assist customers who experience any issues with their purchases.

As discussed with you via email, our goal was to help identify any potential issues that might be affecting its performance and explore possible solutions. With that being said, we have been actively engaged with you since 3 Jan 2025 when you first reported the issue and we advised you to send the item back to us for inspection which is aligned to ACCC. You were also advised that you can source used cartons locally from Bunnings or other warehousing or freight companies for free so it is not necessary to pay for packaging.

Your item was shipped to you via Auspost, so this can be returned to us the same way.

Please note that our standard return policy states that within 60 days of purchase, we may provide return details at no cost to the customer. After this period, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. However, as an exception, we have covered the return fee for you but you did not appreciate it. You insisted on having the item picked up from your home without proper packaging and requested an immediate refund, which is not in line with our policy.

Per the ACCC, once the physical inspection confirms the fault, you are entitled to either a replacement or a refund if the fault is major. If your item is found to have a minor fault, we are entitled to repair it and return it to you.

Instead of cooperating with our standard warranty claim process, you sent a series of objection emails and threatened to report to Fair Trading. It is noted that you opted not to do so, and your case was closed.
We are genuinely disheartened to read this review, as our team has been working diligently to address your concerns. We have already provided the reply-paid return details, and if you wish to proceed, please return the item so we can move forward with the resolution. Feel free to reach out via email if you need further assistance.

Work Bench

On assembling work bench I found it extremely sturdy and strong. All the holes lined up perfectly and there were no missing parts. It was delivered quickly.
Just a minor issue was the hole, in backboard, to pass the power board cord through was a little smaller than the plug. Not hard to fix. Very happy. Thanks

Great product and great service

Such a quick turnaround from order to delivery, even though I am classified in a "rural" - received the second working day after I ordered! Even better, the tool came already assembled, all I had to do was charge up the battery and use it - no mucking around trying to assemble fiddly bits and work out how to put it together. Extremely happy.
