I am skeptical about the positive reviews here. After having read E File's website, assuring that I could use their service to file ONLY state taxes for a cost of 28.95 (this applies to anyone who has already filed federal taxes with a different service), I spent hours completing and submitting my information for the state return. Although Efile assures customers that you can file a state return without having to file your federal twice, this is an outright misrepresentation. Here is the truth: Efile tells you that you can file your state taxes with via Efile.com, even if you have already filed your federal. What they do not tell you is that after you've submitted your information and file, Efile submits BOTH, a federal and state return on your behalf. Since the federal has already been filed with a different company, both returns are rejected immediately. The end result is that Efile.com will NOT answer any of your messages, and will completely leave you hanging. This company knew that they would collect the 28.95 and then make themselves unavailable when the customer realizes that it was all a sham. There is no customer contact phone number for this company. Beware. This company is neither honest nor ethical and will take your money and run, causing you to pay a different service for a smooth and issue-free tax filing.

The website said you could file a free conoravirus return for free by entering the code covid-free. I went through the tax preparation process and the charges kept stacking up. There was no place to enter the code. I did not file the return with them and used a free H&R Block site. Rip off. Wish there was a way to delete the return that I entered. I don't feel comfortable with them having my information.
