The control box was difficult to…

The control box was difficult to connect to WiFi out of the box. However, the EGIS leadership (customer support) was fantastic at working out a new solution that made the product easy to use. I will recommend this control box to others.

Great concept, could use some app improvement.

Great concept, needs a bit more work in the execution. The iOS version of the app is very clunky, and doesn't have the look/feel of a modern app. Couldn't get the Android version to even run on my tablet. Changing time allotments doesn't seem to take effect until the next day when the schedule starts again. Should be able to "add time" by just adjusting the current schedule entry. Or a way to over-ride the and turn the system on/off would be nice. (The cryptically labeled "on/off" switch just seems to enable scheduling.) Would be nice to have finer granularity in the time allotments as well. (Doesn't let you put in decimal hours or minutes.) The audible "beep" for when time is running out seems very quiet. My kids haven't heard it once with the unit right behind the TV.

Helpful for Establishing Good Habits with Younger Kids

The controls have already been so helpful! Having the TVs turn off automatically allows my husband and I peace of mind knowing that when we ask the TV to be turned off, it will be. Our four boys are 8 and under, and even though the older two understand the concept of turning off the TV at a certain time, they usually forget. They understand these controls are to help them remember, and they’ve had no problem with the help.

I’m so glad y’all made this device because it is so much more convenient and helpful than any of the apps we were using since it’s tailored to TV screen time. I also appreciate that it’s a one-time purchase and doesn’t require a subscription.

If anyone is considering buying one of these, I would highly recommend getting one for every room with a plugged-in device you want to have help with.
