5* DJ and Magic mirror!
We booked Exceed events for our wedding at Holmes Mill, the booking process was smooth and plain sailing! Immediately after booking we had a first meeting booked so we could learn how to use the music portal and offered additional extras like magic mirrors, light up letters and dancefloors. Originally we had no extras but later on we booked the magic mirror after our original entertainment was cancelled and it was the most perfect last minute addition! If you are ummimg and ahhing about this, just do it! Its 100% worth it!
We were contacted by our DJ Mike before the wedding, instantly we clicked with him! He understood exactly what music taste we had, asked us all the questions he needed to understand us better and was just generally a really great person!
On the wedding day Mike was there on time, set up and introduced himself beforehand! He got the guests prepped and ready for the grand entrance which was just the most incredible reception we have ever had!
He listened exactly to the music taste we had told him, played all the songs we asked him to play and the music was incredible! Every guest there spoke so positively of the vibe and atmosphere, was impressed with the music played and a few guests even mentioned wanting to book Mike for their parties/events aswell! At the start everyone was up dancing, towards the end (when everyone had run out of steam) the bangers kept on coming and everyone was either dancing in their seats or singing in their seats, which is exactly what's to be expected when you get married at 12'oclock! Mike kept the fun going from start to finish, the music was so perfect and honestly, I may be biased, might have been the best set I have heard at a wedding so far
If you book with Exceed ask for Mike! You won't regret it! And a big thank you to Exceed!

Professional but..
Exceed events are extremely professional and helpful, the run up to our wedding was very smooth and easy. We had Wes as our DJ. Such a lovely guy, no fault of his own but the bar wasn’t in the room where our DJ was set up so not many people took advantage of the music. Other weddings I’ve been to the DJ has done more to engage the crowd and have a bit of fun but we didnt see this at our wedding.
We also booked the magic mirror which was a big hit with the guests.

DJ Wes for our wedding!
We booked a DJ via exceed events for our wedding on 27.12.2025. The entire booking process, meetings, & organisation was smooth and contact clear and frequent. We had Wez DJ’ing for our wedding, and he was excellent. We spoke a few weeks prior to the wedding, & explained to him what we did and did not want. The wedding evening was perfect, the dance floor was continuously occupied from start to finish & Wez was tremendous. We would absolutely book Wez, & use exceed again! 10/10!!

Mike was a wonderful! He helped to create a fabulous atmosphere for our wedding & was so focussed on making sure everything fit our music taste and was exactly what we - and our guests - would enjoy!
Exceed were really great to work with too - they have a really useful online portal where we could upload the songs we did (& didn’t!) want & the phone call before our wedding day was really helpful too. Jonny our wedding DJ was fabulous
Jonny our wedding DJ was fabulous! We have a very eclectic taste in music and what we requested he play on our night. He nailed the order of songs to keep things family friendly and get people dancing in the early evening and played the heavier drum and bass later on. He said he’s not had to DJ so fast a wedding before but he did an absolutely awesome job! Couldn’t be happier with him! Thank you Jonny!

Brilliant service!
From the initial meeting, website access to upload songs as a working playlist to the arrangements with our DJ for the evening, exceed have been brilliant to work with. We particularly liked that we could upload a selection of songs to help the DJ understand the range of music we enjoyed and they we could also make decisions about song requests and other sections of the set. Thank you, Exceed for keeping our dance floor busy throughout the evening!

We used Exceed for our son’s 30th birthday party at Mitton Hall and I have to say they were absolutely wonderful. The options available were very varied and we were able to choose several extras. Recommend to take the stress out of organising an event.

We held our annual awards night in December 2025
We held our annual awards night in December 2026. This is the third time we have used Exceed Events and each year we have made additions to the night. This year we had the DJ, sax player, percussionist, singer, LED dance floor, and to top Paul himself compared the awards. From booking and keeping it touch with slight tweaks and finalising the event, Paul and his team are amazing. I am not sure we would use anyone else. Great people and great company to work with.

New years eve Wedding
We used Exceed events for our wedding entertainment. We had a video call with Leah at the start to ensure we knew what to expect and how to use the online portal for song requests. Being able to send the link out to our guests was brilliant as they were also able to choose some songs.
Wez was our Dj for the evening, he gave me a call a few weeks before the event to go through all the details which was very useful. On the night he was fantastic! Played all the songs we requested, kept the party mood going and we had a brilliant count down to the new year celebrations!

Incredible Daytime Hosting
We booked Damian as our daytime wedding host and he was absolutely incredible! The communication beforehand from both Exceed and Damian was faultless and meant that the games and the music Damian played were perfectly tailored to our guests. There were no lulls and it really helped all our guests get to know each other. The atmosphere was incredible and it really set the tone heading into our evening reception. We would recommend Exceed without hesitation. Thank you for making our wedding so perfect!

40th birthday…
We recently celebrated my 40th birthday but unbeknown to our guests they were also attending our surprise wedding. Having spoken with Wes a few days before he helped us in making our celebrations a night to remember. I would definitely recommend Exceed events in the future.

Brilliant service from start to finish, thanks Leah, Wez and team
The entire process using Exceed for the entertainment at our wedding was seamless! From communication leading up to the day from Exceed themselves and ease of booking. To our DJ, Wez, who was absoloutely brilliant! Several guests commented on how good the music was, and there were people on the dancefloor all night long.
We also added a saxaphonist who did 3 x 30 minute sets starting from 2130 and I'd highly recommend adding that as well. Really added an injection of energy late on.
All round fantastic service, and highly highly recommended!

Can't recommend Mike enough! We filled in the portal that exceed send through (with songs you do/don't want etc) and then the week prior to our wedding Mike booked a call with us. He was friendly & professional and listened to what we wanted the "vibe" of the wedding to be. We've never hosted a wedding before and he was happy to give advice when we asked for it which was great. Lovely guy, turned up on time, introduced himself to us on the day & kept the party going. What more could you want :)

Last night we celebrated our daughter’s…
Last night we celebrated our daughter’s 21st birthday and our DJ Mike had the difficult task of catering age ranges from 18 - 82 years.
Mike was incredible and managed to get everyone dancing and everyone commenting on how great the music genre was.
He was so professional contacting us before the event to ask our tastes as we were hopeless and didn’t download any music into the portal.
I can’t thank you enough Mike for making the night a huge success.

100% recommend Tom
We had Tom DJ’ing at our wedding on Thursday this week and what a night. We danced from start to finish and the dance floor was full the whole night. We first heard Tom at a Christmas event last year and had asked if he also did weddings, only to find he worked for the company we had been recommended by the venue. He was great - we gave him a few ideas of what we liked and told him to just roll with what he thought best - he did not disappoint at all. 100% recommend. We also had Nick as our Sax player and I can also confirm 100% worth it - for those oldies that may not have had a party with a sax before - they were all on the dance floor loving life.

Mike from Exceed DJ’d our wedding last week. We can’t speak highly enough of him. He was friendly, met all our requests and expectations and even gave my wife and I a pep talk when we were too nervous to start our first dance.
