I have recently had blepharoplasty surgery at Exeter Eye by Miss Fiona Irvine. She was excellent both personally and technically. She explained the procedure together with realistic outcome expectations. I would highly recommend Miss Irvine and Exeter Eye.

I received exceptional service from Miss Fiona Irvine at Exeter eye where I recently had blepharoplasty surgery. I researched both this procedure and providers in much depth before choosing Miss Irvine and I was not not disappointed. I felt I was in very capable and experienced hands. It was important to me to use a surgeon who still practised within the NHS as well as the private sector. Miss Irvine thoroughly explained the procedure together with realistic outcome expectations and I have just had my three month and final follow up. The procedure was quick, just under an hour, and Exeter Eye is on a convenient site with good access . I experienced some bruising, not a huge amount, which disappeared in about a week. Sutures were removed at two weeks and the initial visible scaring is now virtually non existent. I would highly recommend Miss Irvine and Exeter Eye.

I have recently had two cataract operations at Exeter Eye. I am very pleased with the results. There were complications with these operations because of health problems but Peter Simcock and his team were determined to overcome them and succeeded. Throughout I was treated with the utmost courtesy and consideration at all levels. I have no hesitation in recommending Exeter Eye to anyone considering a cataract operation.

I recently had both lens replaced due to cataracts by Mr Conor Ramsden and his team. The nursing and medical care were excellent, and I was treated professionally and expertly by all staff members, and would recommend the service to everyone who needs it. I am a former nurse lecturer known for being picky and strict when teaching nurses, but I did not receive any care that was not excellent and I include the medics in that. A+ all round!!

Having recently undergone two cataract operations with Mr Peter Simcock at the Exeter Eye Centre, I was keen to express my appreciation to him and the whole team backed by the reception and administration staff. I found I was in the company of numerous other patients who had experienced the same care.
I can only reiterate all the very positive comments expressed by previous patients including my wife who had received the same treatment four years ago.
When she asked Mr Simcock if he ever found the repetition of the procedure tedious he said never as everyone is different and deserving of the very best attention.
So we are very grateful to have been treated by the very skilful and caring surgeon and his team.

I have recently attended Exeter Eye in relation to a cataract problem in my right eye. This has required three visits to the clinic. A first appointment for assessment a second for surgery a third as a follow up after surgery. I was treated by Mr Peter Simcock who is probably one of the most highly regarded Opthalmic Surgeons not only in Exeter but by his peers across the UK. Throughout the process I was treated very well and felt that at all times my well being was of utmost importance to every member of staff. The actual surgery was a breeze with every aspect being explained as we went along. All costs were fully itemised from the start with no unexpected shocks later on. I cannot speak highly enough of the Surgeon, his assisting staff and the members of the admin team.

Peter was personally involved in every single step and scan of the journey—from the initial consultation and the surgery itself to the post-op follow-ups. He also handled a very quick, minor laser procedure I needed afterwards to clear up some slight cloudiness.

I was terribly nervous of having cataract surgery, but from the moment I entered Exeter Eye Clinic I experienced great kindness and consideration from the medical and admin team. I received excellent advice about the type of lenses that would be most suitable for my lifestyle and thorough aftercare . I can genuinely say, I didn’t feel a thing and I would encourage anyone with cataracts to seek assistance at Exeter Eye. The results have made such a difference to my working life and have enabled me to take up hobbies again that I had put aside.

I am thrilled with the result of my blepharoplasy which was performed by Miss Irvine at the Exeter Eye clinic three months ago.
I chose to have sedation as I am a little claustraphobic so although fully awake, I was calm and very relaxed throughout the procedure which took about 45 mins.
It was completely pain free and I was on my way home in an hour and a half!
 I had very little discomfort afterwards which settled with Paracetamol on the first night. 
There was bruising & swelling which settled after a couple of weeks. I am very happy and would highly recommend Miss Irvine and the Exeter Eye Clinic to anyone considering having this procedure.

Exeter Eye during March and April 2026. I have had small incision cataract surgery lens implant on both eyes and i cannot thank Mr. Quinn and his team enough for the friendly, professional treatment i received. The results are truly amazing, at 81 years having always had to wear glasses or contact lenses, and recently cataracts causing some vision problems, my vision is now better than i have ever had and without any correction. I had surgery performed on my eyelid for a very painful condition . Ms Fiona Irvine did a first class job . The staff from reception to nurses were excellent . I can’t recommend them highly enough .
The surgery was very successful and all completed with the minimum of fuss .

I went to Peter Simcock for a consultation about cataract removal because he had operated successfully on my wife's eyes several years ago. I cannot recommend Exeter Eye and particularly Mr Conor Ramsden highly enough. I recently underwent complex macular hole surgery (vitrectomy) and subsequently cataract surgery with a toric lens implant. The entire experience was outstanding from start to finish.

I had bilateral sequential cataract surgery with Toric Eyhance lenses. I was treated by Peter Simcock. I could not compliment Peter more highly as his approach and manner represents the very best of professional standards. The results of the surgery for me are astounding in terms of vision improvement and removal of the annoying consequences of cataracts. For any nervous patients the whole team offer support and explanation of the process. 5 star review all round.

I've been seeing Opthalmic Consultant Mr Michael Smith for over 2 years for for glaucoma risk and have just had very successful surgery on both eyes which is frankly life changing.
Everyone who has dealt with me at Exeter Eye has treated me with courtesy, respect and kindness. My surgeon, the anaesthetists, clinical staff etc. are all highly skilled and knowledgeable, and I have no hesitation in giving the team a 5 star review.

I have recently had cataract surgery on both eyes by Mr Quinn at Exeter Eye. A nervous patient, I had such reassurance at every stage. I chose sedation, which I recommend for anyone feeling apprehensive. Everything was thoroughly explained and all my concerns and requests fully addressed. I felt properly looked after at every stage, even having a mobile number to ring day or night should any serious complications arise, which they did not. I now have better than 20/20 vision, glare from headlights whilst driving at night is minimal, and I will never need glasses again!! Highly recommend both the surgery and Exeter Eye.
