Extension plans uk Reviews

Great company with brilliant communication and professionalism. Josh the architect has been incredible in his work & speed, Rebecca the head of comms and admin has been thorough, prompt and helpful throughout! Last but not least, we chose this company as the Director; Philip took us through a FREE 40 min consultation to introduce us to the company and gave us some pretty incredible tips and extension design ideas. This really helped the whole process and he gave us some serious value and quality on this call, even before we were customers/clients. The planning permission came through smoothly even with conservation area restrictions and we’re just so pleased we chose Extension Plans for our project - HIGHLY recommend.

Excellent service from start to finish. The team was professional and handled our planning permission smoothly. Highly recommend to anyone needing planning support!

I had a good experience with Extension Plans. They were knowledgeable, organised and communicated well throughout the process

Working with Extension Plans UK has been a fantastic experience. The team have been extremely helpful explaining the process and very quick to respond to all of our questions. The pricing has been extremely transparent, with absolutely no hidden costs. We found the price to be extremely competitive in comparison to other architects we spoke to. The drawings were very clear and we loved the balance between our own suggestions versus the architects expertise. Couldn’t be happier with the service, price and experience!

Cameron and his team are fast to respond, and got planning permission for my loft extension faster than I expected. The surveyor was round in record time and I was happy having the opportunity to amend our architectural designs.

Highly recommend this company - this is the second time I've used them and will definitely use in future. They're cost effective, efficient and responsive - Phil and Cameron kept me informed every step of the way.
Thank you!

Efficient, fast service. Prompt follow-ups with the local authority and quick responses to emails. Reviews live up to expectations.

A highly experienced and professional team who took the stress off me completely. They were able to get planning approval and arrange quotes etc and keep me informed throughout.
I highly recommend Extension Plans.

I had an exceptional experience with the company from start to finish.

I particularly appreciated that they served as a one-stop shop for all planning permission needs and were able to recommend companies they had worked with before. Their prices were also significantly better than those of other architectural firms.

Although I was initially hesitant to try them since they were relatively new, I decided to go with them, and I’m glad I did. I successfully obtained planning permission for a double-storey back extension and a front porch! 😁

A big shout-out to Cameron for being consistently prompt and courteous, providing outstanding customer service.

I highly recommend Extension Plans UK.

The experience of working with Extensions Plans Uk from start to finish has been exceptional. I cannot fault a single thing, from the initial video consultation with Philip to the planning being approved has been seamless and extremely professional. Phillip listened to all my needs and created a plan which met all my expectations. Everything was mentioned right at the beginning, including details on the process and the costs. Cameron was also very helpful in dealing with the issues we faced with the planning officer, he communicated regularly provided me with updates and made several changes accordingly without any hesitation. I highly recommend Extension Plans and I am now looking forward to start the process of creating my dream home. Thank you to Cameron and Philip for all your hard work and support.

As this was our first time applying for any building work, we were a little nervous, but the nerves were unfounded. Extension Plans UK made this understandable and straightforward, the guiding hand was reassuring, and the presence of our co-ordinator, Rebecca, excellent.

We couldn’t be happier with the service provided by our architects. We originally chose them because they offer a comprehensive service—from the initial survey through to build-over agreements, planning, and building control—which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Their competitive pricing was another big plus. Throughout the project, they’ve been incredibly responsive, with any design tweaks or amendments handled at lightning speed. We’re really pleased with the brilliant service and would happily recommend them to friends and family.

So efficient and has delivered on exactly what they promised. It is a confusing and costly process if things go wrong, having the team doing the heavy lifting, providing guidance and special thanks to Rebecca for keeping me updated on the progress.

The team at Extension Plans UK has been fantastic throughout the design and planning stages of our extension. From the initial design meeting and the creation of the plans with Joshua, who was
great at listening to our ideas and helping us find better solutions to our layout, Extension Plans UK has been amazing in dealing with the council. Rebecca has been a godsend, keeping us updated and helping us navigate through all the obstacles that the council has thrown at us.
Thanks to their efforts, we’re thrilled with how our project is turning out. Their timely responses and exceptional customer service made the entire process smoother than we could have imagined. I couldn’t recommend them more; they have made this process as simple as possible and have helped us enormously.

A very friendly and enthusiastic team and a clear and straightforward process.

I would highly recommend Extension Plans UK. A very friendly approachable team from first contact, made the whole process very stress free even with all the back and forth with planning.

Great experience. Very helpful professional service and I really felt as though the team at Extensionplansuk put my worries and concerns first. They were supportive throughout despite challenging circumstances.

I found Extension plans UK on google and decided to have a go and asked for quotation. Didn't have to wait long and where received my quotation decision was very simple! Great price!. Without any knowledge about process for plans and all of things about application...
Now I would say, thank you guys!, I know much more and never been so happy, that I have chosen you.
First meeting with Josh - Design Consultation takes place on Zoom, to be fair 15 minutes and all done (me and my wife we knew what we wants so was very quick meeting) Josh done all correction on plan and explain everything what can be done and what can't go through due to regulation concern. Thank you Josh you have done great job with our plan. (plans accepted straight away without any correction by Oxford Council).
We have been also regularly informed about status of our application and about next steps of it by Rebecca Parnell - Studio Administrator, thank you very much about that.
All team from Extension plans uk done a great job starting from side visit and finishing on "permission granted" Thank you guys!
You have one happy family on your account!
Will definitely recommend you to all my friends and family!

Gave this company the job of drawing up the plans for an oak framed orangery and carport. They said they understood oak framing but it became apparent very quickly that they didn’t have a clue… I pulled them several times about idiotic mistakes (like putting an oak post in the middle of an existing doorway & bi folding doors which when folded back blocked the entrance into to orangery) it was like dealing with children. They were unresponsive coming back to me regarding my project & when I chased them up I was continually passed around the office, I barely spoke to the same person twice! They finally drew up plans which looked ok to me & I did gain planning permission but when I started to get quotes the builders were laughing as they were structurally unviable. In the end I gave up on the orangery - so I completely wasted my money here. I went ahead with the build of the carport but they kept trying to charge me to put in for building regulations even though I had an exemption certificate.. they didn’t realise that it didn’t need building regs. Both myself & Council planning office were getting really frustrated with them. Dealing with them was exhausting and I wouldn’t use them again and would not recommend to anyone. I’ve gone to another architect for my new extension & I have recently been asking them for the CAD drawings from my initial survey to save the cost of having them done again but they have just ignored my request, even though I’ve paid for this initial survey.
Cost of their unprofessional service was just under £2,000

UPDATE; They said I could have my CAD drawings but only if I took my review down. I wouldn’t do that so never got my drawings

Really recommend. I have never done any renovations before so this is a great place to start and get the project underway. There was a few bits of cost I didn't quite expect but if you are ever unsure they are always patient and polite to answer to make sure you fully understand the process.
I find the timeline documents really user friendly too.
