I booked a one-hour refresher lesson through EzLicence to safely adjust to driving in Australia. Unfortunately, my experience with the assigned instructor (Avin) was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. The instructor was pushy from the start, insisting I book multiple lessons even though I only needed a one-hour refresher. During the lesson he repeatedly touched my shoulder, arm, leg, and hand after I had clearly said this made me uncomfortable. He was overly invasive in my personal space and created an unsafe atmosphere.
Despite slow driving in a quiet area, he raised his voice, grabbed the steering wheel aggressively, and dismissed my concerns. When I set boundaries, he blamed me and claimed I couldn’t drive, even though I hold a full licence and have years of experience. This forced me to end the lesson early and walk home to remove myself from the situation.
Overall, I felt unsafe, disrespected, and unsupported. I cannot recommend this instructor and hope EzLicence ensures higher professional standards for their drivers.

San was a great instructor, very easy to learn from and the company was great to deal with too.

The scheduling system was very convenient. And the interface which shows the list of instructors and their price and their availability are very good features.

I cancelled my sons diving lesson after the first lesson with Grant (Wetherhill Park area), as he was quite rude and my son did not feel comfortable with him. My son had 7 lessons with another instructor, and it was a completely different experience. Unfortunately he is overseas at the moment and my sons test is this week, hence us booking with someone else.

As the cancellation was within 24 hours of the booking we couldn't get a refund, but I'd rather loose the money than have my son all anxious days before his driver's test.

I didn't leave a review at the time either, so there was no reason for Grant to call me this afternoon like he did.

For 5 minutes and 17 seconds he spoke aggressively to me and refused me the opportunity to complete 1 sentence.

He told me that if I left a bad review he would just have it deleted.

He also lied and said that I said that I had nothing to say, despite the fact that I had been trying to get a word in.

He lied and said that my son was speeding at 10km/h over the speed limit but when I checked our insurance app for driver behaviour he had a 100% score for NOT speeding.

The call was terrifying, and I'm an adult. I would not want Grant near any child with that level of aggression.

I will post this as a Google Review too, just in case the review is removed like he threatened me he would.

The support team is wonderful, they replied quickly to my email. I appreciate the time they took to help me. Great service, 5 Stars.

I've been an A grade driving instructor since I qualified 12 years ago. This company wanted 25% of my earnings, I'd had some family issues so was willing to go with them to get re-started. Before I was even a live profile they invented 5 super positive profiles to dupe learners. I challenged this and left them, dishonesty is not good. I know I'm a decent instructor but these people have no moral compass. Avoid! Go with a local instructor, get a recommendation, this company only wants money, not good drivers.

My son enjoyed his driving experience with EZ licence, they are a team of kind, caring people and I would highly recommend!

They are very punctual. They never take too long to respond or take action. They are also very polite and professional. Thank you!

Daughter booked a lesson. Come day of the lesson mobile phone outage. Instructor sent a text saying "here" which my daughter didnt get, my daughter also send her texts and phone calls. Despite web page saying the instructor will knock on the door, this instructor didnt and said "its not my policy to" I contacted the company explained the outage, that the instructor didnt knock (have video from our front door) and the texts / phone calls from daughter but they wont refund. Had to lodge a complaint with Consumer Complaints. Feel this company despite have policies which are highlighted on their web page dont follow them and take advantage of youth where they can. Use a company who adheres to Policy, makes effort to fulfil a booking and does not try rip you off.

Update - EzLicence have offered my daughter a $85 credit. Disappointing it took this review and a complaint to Consumer Protection however hopefully they review their policies after this because there was a breakdown in communication which as noted above could have been sorted by a simple knock on the door. It is also noted that the instructors are independent and this relates to only the instructor my daughter used.

The conversation was ckear and the point.

Sandra made my son comfortable at the wheel and listened to what he asked. He finally feels comfortable to get his license. Will continue lessons with her.
