I was not notified of any charge, nor that I would be charged without my prior knowledge. I owe almost $1,000 and have nothing in hand. The contact email does not work. The message is not delivered. The famous.ai software is quite intuitive and graphics were excellent so I was able to create a website easily and quickly

I have used famous for about a year now. I have created several apps with it and like anything else there is a learning curve. The training offered to get you past the curve is amazing and abundant. No one else offers as much live training as the famous labs. 100% recommend you to try it

I subscribed and then cancelled, yet they keep billing me weekly. Once they have your info, it will become a never-ending billing cycle

I bought a model thinking that once I have access to the whatever image generator, I’d be able to freely create pictures; only to find out there’s ADDITIONAL charges and a credit system beyond that.

The advertising is extremely misleading, worded like you’ll be able to start making pictures, nothing indicating that you’ll still have to purchase additional credits after dropping hundreds of dollars! Talk about unethical!

Highly dissatisfied, and cannot recommend this service. I’ve been reviewing various AI model generators, and this one has hit a low mark for the companies I have tried.

This is a very sneaky and poor business practice. A straight up bait and switch. I know I can’t get my money back and am writing off the purchase as a loss, and will not be buying any additional credits to even attempt to see how the software works.

Joined famous.ai to build my first app and it’s been honestly such a great experience from start to finish. They have onboardings which were helpful for me because I personally didn’t have any idea how to build an app so the guidance from their team was so nice. Was able to get my app created and live within 5 days!

I like your organization and it's so informative. However I have missed a lot of sessions. I hope to make up ground as I know the training is great and can move life's journey.

If this is the future the future is looking good. I have built a custom app that before famous ai, would have been cost prohibitive not to mention the coding knowledge one would need to have. Of all the AI products available famous AI is hands down the most exciting.

Firstly, I have to say I love Terry’s voice. Might have a bit of a crush on him 😂🫢LOL.
On a more serious note, he is easy to listen to, and definitely helped me clarify some confusions I had over AI and I was a bit taken back about building my own web app but definitely he gave me more insight on how this works and

They make app ideas very easy to execute, payment plans are vague. I had some big unexpected charges and they were refunded quickly.

They are attempting to charge me $467 starting May 5-29 for hosting a single app I never used after building it. My second project was never published. I cancelled my membership as soon as I noticed the unexpected charges — but you also have to separately scroll down and delete your projects, which isn't made clear anywhere. I'm not even certain that stops the billing.

May 5: $7.00 (membership)

May 5: $16.57 (credits)

May 7: $34.22 (AI usage)

May 9: $35.45 (AI usage) — cancelled membership here

May 11: $35.11 (AI usage)

May 27: $65.41 (AI usage)

May 29: $274.21 pending (AI usage)

The app was live but I never logged back in or used it. I built it, published it, and left it. Their own pricing page shows AI usage charges only apply when API calls are actually made — none were. Their pricing page also states that unpublished projects incur no charges. A $274 single charge on a dormant app with no users has no legitimate basis under their own published rates.

Famous.ai has confirmed full refunds to other users for this exact billing pattern on Trustpilot. I will file a complaint with the CFPB Complaint Portal and dispute all AI usage charges with my bank.

I've been in touch with Jonathan from Famous Labs. He stated in an email this morning that he's going to issue me a full refund which should be back in my account in a few days. While I appreciate the effort, the fact I'm having to go through this prevents a 5-star experience. If I see a full refund, I will update my review accordingly.

6/18/26: I received a full refund and I appreciate Jonathan for handling that. I can't give 5-stars because this was much more than I'd like to deal with. Because of this experience, it goes down to four stars. My issue may be solved, but it doesn't solve the root cause. AI is so new, that the usage portion of Famous.ai is still going to cause problems. Also, the ad only proclaims, "little as $7 per month." If it's in the fine print, it's impossible for me to read at least. Ultimately, I felt misled with the ad, so while I got my money back, I'm still left this feeling of mistrust, 3-stars is the best I can do.

I want to warn every consumer before they end up in the same trap I did.

I signed up for Famous.ai after seeing a simple $7 project offer. Everything appeared legitimate — my build was already 70% complete with no mention of extra fees, no pricing tiers, no warnings, nothing. Then the system suddenly froze and demanded $23 to continue. I paid it in good faith because the project seemed complex and I assumed it was a one‑time upgrade.

That’s when the real deception started.

After paying the $23, the project barely moved forward. Then it stopped again, and without any disclosure or consent, Famous.ai attempted to automatically charge me $144. No confirmation screen. No pricing explanation. No button I clicked. Just a silent, unauthorized attempt to debit my account.

When that charge declined, I immediately blocked the merchant and closed the browser — which any reasonable consumer would do.

But the situation escalated. About a month later, Famous.ai attempted another charge using a different Cash App merchant ID, effectively bypassing the block I had placed. That is not a glitch. That is a deliberate tactic designed to evade consumer protections.

The most disturbing part is that Cash App sided with them — despite the block, despite the declined charge, despite the mismatched merchant IDs, and despite the lack of consent. Their dispute system appears heavily biased toward merchants, and Famous.ai clearly knows how to exploit that weakness.

This wasn’t a misunderstanding or a billing error. It was a pattern of hidden fees, unauthorized charges, and evasive billing practices designed to extract money without consent.

If you value transparency, honesty, or basic financial safety, avoid Famous.ai. Their practices are not ethical, and they are taking advantage of a payment platform that fails to protect its users.

Consumers deserve better than this.

Initially, Famous.ai seemed fantastic. The interface was clean, the setup was straightforward, and the instructions were actually well written. For a brief moment, it genuinely looked like the platform I’d been searching for.
Then came the surprise charges.
Without any meaningful warning, I was suddenly hit with over $200 in charges because of their “sleep mode” billing structure. Fine. That one is partially on me for not catching the fine print, even though the system design feels intentionally opaque.
But that’s where the experience completely derailed. After paying the already ridiculous charges, I returned to continue working and was immediately blocked by yet another $81 charge despite not actively using the platform. When I tried to view the invoice to figure out what I was supposedly being billed for, the site repeatedly threw errors. I then went directly to their payment portal, which showed NO outstanding invoices and NO balance due. Meanwhile, Famous.ai itself continued locking me out of my work, insisting I owed $81 for seemingly nothing. Every attempt to access the invoice generated another error message. I sent detailed emails with screenshots documenting exactly what was happening, including the conflicting billing information and repeated system errors, yet I continued receiving the same generic canned responses that completely ignored the actual issue. Eventually, they simply stopped responding altogether.
So now I’m stuck in a bizarre limbo where:
• I’ve spent hundreds of dollars
• I cannot access the work I paid for
• I cannot verify the mysterious charge
• Their own billing portal contradicts their platform
• Support appears either incapable or unwilling to resolve it

What started as an exciting and promising platform turned into an expensive lesson in poor billing transparency, broken account management, and nonexistent customer support.
Absolutely do not recommend.

Terry was very real and straightforward. He talked to us as if we were sitting in his living room. I loved his approach, and he was easy to follow.
