I had been going there even tho the women screwed my hair up about every time. Im done now. She thinks she is cute working the word focus in her conversation.( F*** off cause your stupid). I will now tell everyone how terrible you are and you don't care if you mess up. You may be the manager, but you lack integrity, you're one of the reasons people will never come to fantastic sams.

I gotta say, for the low prices they charge, Kara, (not to be mistaken for name 'KerrIE, who I don't know) at FS has done an excellent job every time! I am an old 'Boomer' & don't often go to get hair cut, but Kara still finds the time to get me in & I make sure 'she gets hers' for that. I find Kara to be down to Earth, like me. She is not all hoity- toity, & fake like some of the big, fancy salons. There is 1 other stylist who did my hair about 3 weeks ago - she was also very good. I was killing some time, waiting for another person to get done at their appmt. So, on a whim, I got my haircut at FS. Problem is I cannot write this FS stylist's name because I forgot it. If this FS stylist wants me to put it in this review, she would have to call or email me to tell me it. (a good test to see if businesses pay attention to TPilot reviews- hey?) One more thing about FS in general that I like: You can get an appointment without having to wait 2-3 weeks - often same day at FS, if not specifying particular stylist. Well that's about it for me!

Stylist talked to everyone but me. Was loud, rude and obnoxious
She was the owner, which makes it even worse.

so my step dad took me to fantastic sams. and signed me in or something. this nice lady. she sat me down AND without asking what i wanted she just cut my hair. and i'm like "what the flip, dude?" and she just continues to cut my hair. so i said. "keep the top long." and lets just say i look like a character from boyz in the hood.
go there its pretty goood alright :D

I went Fantastic Sams in 6 miles Cypress today 1/17/2026
They have eliminated majority of their hairdressers and the place was empty when i came in
I needed back trim and the hairdresser did the back and then also cleaned slightly sides total time spent 10 min at best
they have charged me for whole haircut which was not done she did not touch my hair on top at all
I understand they are scrambling but i would never return to them again

It pains me to leave a bad review . On thinking about my bad experience today , People need to be made aware .
My friend had a nice experience recently , and she recommended Jessica . However, Jessica wasn’t available when I arrived this morning .
A very sweet Stylist greeted me at the door ; was very kind , welcoming , friendly and chatty so I decided to take a chance that she could trim my hair .

Complementary shampoo was good .
On consultation: I explained I had a precision Bob that needed just a trim like an inch off and reshape and the young lady said it was no trouble . She said she could achieve that even with layers if I wanted . I opted for just the trim .
The results of the cut were definitely not as promised .
The sweet young lady hadn’t a clue about precision Bobs , I’m sorry to say looking at my cut at home after the blow dry . I wondered if she is liscenced?
Uneven lengths in the back and all the way around &sides don’t match ! I have to change the part to hide the unevenness in the front / The angle is botched on the one side. This is so unacceptable ! There was no manager to complain about the mishap and to see about making the matter “right”when I was there this morning .
Christmas holiday is a few days away and I have to pray I find a qualified skilled beautician somewhere with an opening before the holiday to rework the botched cut . We all have places to be this time of year ,are short of time and money . We need to be presentable. I’ll be paying twice now for what should have been a minimal trim and a time saver . A complete waste of time and money . I do not recommend this shop .

Twice now over the few years' time that I have been going to Fantastic Sam's, they have increased their prices without posting on their website. Both times I was shocked at the price increase. I will definitely not be returning to Fantastic Sam's as $42 for a simple hair trim with blow dry is unreasonable. I will find some place cheaper.

I had the WORST experience at Fantastic Sams in St. Anthony, MN. I paid $200+ for a full dimensional highlights, hair cut and hair treatment. I still tipped too, but only for the cut & treatment. I was up front and clear with what I wanted, brought multiple photos of the service I was getting and the stylist helped me pick which one by telling me what she was able to do for me. Now, I completely understand that everyone’s hair is different and that it wouldn’t turn out exactly like the inspo pics. I also told her I wanted Caramel highlights in my dark brown hair/. but it came out so horrible. She told me that she “gave me more blonde” when I did not ask for that at all, I asked for caramel. The highlights were so very light platinum blonde, where it almost looked like I had grey hairs. The highlights weren’t even all the way to my scalp, they were a good inch away from my scalp, it was all choppy looking, it looked so ridiculous and so awful, I was so very sad and depressed with how bad I looked work this grey looking, choppy platinum blond. If you value your hair, don’t go to Fantastic Sams. The manager only wanted to give me $50 back for the caramel color if I didn’t wanna go back to the salon for a second try but she never sent it to my account. This should be illegal! They rip customers off.

I was a loyal Fantastic Sams customer for years—always tipping generously and trusting their stylists with my slow-growing, carefully maintained hair. That trust was shattered after Lauren at the Cypress Lakes location gave me a disastrous haircut and coloring, leaving my hair visibly fried, broken, and uneven. The salon acknowledged the damage, but that didn’t undo the harm. I even gave them a second chance to make things right by scheduling with Jodi at the San Carlos Park location.

I invested hundreds in restorative products, treatments, and extensions trying to salvage my hair. We tried every fix—bond-building masks, deep conditioners—before accepting that the damage was irreversible. What’s devastating is that I had no idea my hair had been cut down to just ¼ inch until the extensions she installed began falling out while I was traveling for work. That shocking discovery left me humiliated and panicked in professional settings. This appointment was tied to my 60th birthday, and I had provided a photo of the hairstyle I wanted. Instead, I was given faulty extensions and a heartbreaking outcome.

To make matters worse, the salon refused to provide a receipt, overcharged me for foils I never received, and kept the extra extensions I paid for. After I voiced concerns, they deactivated my customer account, cutting me off from promotional discounts and erasing my history with them. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I’ve received no response.

I’ve spent over $1,200 trying to recover physically and emotionally from this experience. Fantastic Sams demonstrated misrepresentation of services, gross negligence, and deeply unfair business practices. Every paying customer deserves honesty, compassion, and accountability.

Paid $50.00 to be utterly butchered. I left this place with my hair uneven on both sides of my head.
The manager took my appointment as a "repair, or do over" job because one of the other stylists there gave me a nonexistent haircut. It was bizarre as can be. I think she was high, regardless, she was completely out of it. The manager hacked into my head without any methodology and I left in tears. I was not listened to at all. It was clearly a revenge cut with a large chunk of my hair gone in the middle of my head! I requested a refund due to the severity of incompetence and was refused by the owner because I left an unfavourable review, warning others not to go there. Disgusting abuse, which felt like an assault on a client. Shame on you people. You should exit the beauty industry because you certainly do not represent it!

I received the worst hair cut from the Fantastic Sams in Fountainville, PA. After having a injury that kept me from getting my hair done I made the appointment planning to spend time and money. I couldn't wait to have a beautiful haircut and color for a special occasion. It was a chopped up mess. Another stylist there did try to correct the haircut. I still left the salon greatly disappointment with a hairstyle I didn't want. The hairstylist who created the disaster took no accountability. The manager of the store handled the call like corporate trained her. My warning is make sure the hairstylist knows what they are doing before the haircut begins!

My daughter and i had our hair done by Stephanie Today She is by far the best hairdresser Both of us look super special . She goes above and beyond not only on her experience as a hair dresser. Also her beautiful personality thank you Stephanie Norma and Lesa

I got clocked out by the manager spent all day folding towels and answering the phone and didn't get paid for it

Mallory Roulund at the Surf City, NC Fantasic Sams is a great hair dresser, she is friendly and cares about her clients. She listens to what you want her to do. She adds curly oil to my hair and crunches it up so it looks nice when she’s done. I would recommend her to others.

My old stylist left, so I was nervous to try someone new. I saw that Tiffany had several five star reviews, but I still brought my mother-in-law with me to watch (she is a retired hair stylist). Both of us thought she did an excellent job. Tiffany has 16 years of experience and it showed. She cut my layers perfectly. Thanks, Tiffany!

Not impressed, showed a pic of what I wanted, went home realized , it was all choppy, I don’t think, she had a clue what she was doing , not ever going back ever again, now I have to where a hat , very disappointed!! I only went bc , they are open on Sundays, I usually go to Magicuts, lesson well learned. With summer, hair usually grows faster, we shall see.

i went in to get highlights and a haircut. the woman who colored my hair FRIED it. literally FRIED it. when she cut my hair, it was uneven and looked a little choppy. i sat in the chair for 6 hours before she was finally done. i left in tears. it's the worst color and cut job ive ever seen. i now also have a ton of breakage and can't fix it for w while due to the severity of the damage. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! THEY WILL FRY YOUR HAIR!

I went in to get my hair fixed from when I cut and I thought it would be an easy fix. I got home and looked at it and it looked the same. Still slanted so I just fixed it myself… waste of $21 dollars and will never go again. I hope they can give me a refund.

I make an appointment on 3640 Bee Ridge Rd in Sarasota location for my aunt to have her hair cut also asking for the price they told me that $25.00 when I went into the salon the girl told us that she want to shampoo to wet her hair I also asked her again how is much going to cost she said including same price so I said ok but until we checked out the receptionist told us that $43.00 that was not what she told me and she denied that also said because she had shampoo but I already told the hair stylish that we only want to cut hair only anyway that is a dishonest the way they trying to make extra bucks on the customers and I am suggest that will never coming back to that place again
