Bought the beige Tiguan VN18 SYF I live 2 hours away got 1 hour into the journey home and warning light came on about gear box struggled to get home got it plugged in by mechanic and it came up with the problems and that it’d be stored so this means it’s been plugged in before the sale and cleared so the next owner didn’t see it. I travelled 4 hours in total Friday to pick the car up and get home paid for someone to take me and then had to bring it back Saturday to get a refund so had to pay someone to take me again, I temp insured the car twice & also put fuel in the car so I asked for them to reimburse me for the costs as it totalled to around £200 because I have been sold a faulty car they refused to do this and just sent the money back I paid for the car which was £13490. 10 minutes into my journey back home I seen the car was put back on auto trader so I highly think the problem has been hidden again and not actually fixed. I wouldn’t go back to this garage and wouldn’t recommend anybody too either.

Reliable and honest garage as I travelled from Scotland seeing the car for the first time which then led me to buying it there and then as the advertised car was as it said and no lies were included in the description.
Easy process once the car was bought and everything explained in detail before I drove away

bought a vehicle from this garage, VW Beetle DN15 XTA. I paid more than other examples as it was low mileage. Once I had put my deposit down the garage put the car though it’s MOT, it failed on the Lambda sensor as well as both front suspension arms. The garage put this right before I picked it up. I put down a large deposit and the rest of finance through the garage. I travelled to pick the car up, all was fine, got the car home then went on holiday for a week. When I came back and started to use the car, I noticed the steering was out. Not just a little bit, significantly out. The day after the dashboard lit up like Blackpool illuminations. Convertible top error, visit workshop. The roof wouldn’t close properly, it wouldn’t latch on, on one side. ABS error light, traction control error light, start stop error. Then to top it all off the clutch started to slip and smell of burning. When I bought the car I was advised I had a 6 month RAC warranty. I telephoned the RAC, it then came to light incorrect details had been put on the warranty, incorrect registration number etc. The RAC finally advised there was so such warranty set up under any of those details. I booked the car into an independent garage who inspected the car at a cost of £90 to me. They found the steering wheel alignment was way out on all 4 wheels, when Finsley gate had the suspension arms replaced. They didn’t re align the wheels, something that should be done as standard apparently. The car also needed a new ABS sensor as well as a new clutch as the current one was worn out. This is where the lovely Steve wasn’t so lovely anymore. He wasn’t interested, kept pointing me to the warranty which didn’t exist. I ended up reporting this to my finance company, upon inspection of all the evidence they upheld my claim to reject the vehicle due to the faults found within 30 days of purchase. Steve was insistent I had to take the vehicle back to them for inspection. The finance company had to remind Steve that this is not the process, the rejection had been approved, the only inspection Steve was required to do was to see if any damage had been caused between purchase and return. The finance company collected the vehicle by load loader as it wasn’t drive able due to the clutch. They took 5 days to inspect the car and came back to say nothing was wrong with it. Not sure who did the inspection, I hope it isn’t the same person that replaced the suspension arms as they didn’t even know it’s standard practice to realign the wheels after such work. The finance company had to confirm my rights under consumer law, Steve was clueless. He was instructed to refund my large deposit by a certain date. That date passed with no deposit refund received. The finance company refunded the monthly payment I made, the £90 diagnostic charge as well as my deposit. They will now bill Steve directly for the deposit as he hasn’t been forthcoming at all. Sounds like the garage is ok if all goes smoothly and you sing to their tune. Soon as something goes wrong, they show their true colours. I would never buy a vehicle from a back street garage again, certainly not this one. The finance company are aware of the service received, be please very careful before you commit to buying a car from here. If the Beetle is put back up for sale, please ask for proof that the above work has been done, and ensure the proof is legitimate. If I had of paid cash for the car I would have been stuck with it. I’m so glad I got an element of it on finance as I had full backing of the finance company.

No pressure when looking round the car, I was left to it. Steve was highly professional and helpful. Decent length test drive too. Due to the near 6 hour round trip to view the car, the one small problem that I found (not bad for a 6 year old car!) was acknowledged and we agreed that I take the car on the basis that Finsley Gate would cover the cost of my local garage to diagnose and repair it (I viewed on a Sunday). This indeed happened without any problem and my local garage was paid immediately upon invoice. Thank you!

I am thrilled with my (to me) new Audi Q2. I drove away with confidence that it was serviced fully, including the brake fluid change and haldex service that was due, so not just a quick oil and filter change to tick a box. New brakes and disks had been fitted along with front tyres. Really appreciate the care and professionalism delivered by Steve. The RAC multipoint check and warranty gives me peace of mind too!

Bought a BMW X2 from Steve @ Finsleygate car sales and from viewing through to purchase was an excellent experience and Steve was very helpful and friendly and professional, great car and a great service.

I recently bought a Mercedes C Class from Finsley Gate. I live a little far away so they arranged for the car to be transported to my home and everything done via whatsapp/email.

I asked that everything be in order and looked over diligently as it was too far to return if there was any major issues. I was happy when the car arrived as it was spotless and had a full service and MOT but there were a couple of small issues .

However, good customer service becomes apart not when everything is hunky dory but when there is a problem. I told Finsley of the issues which were acknowledged straight away. I personally took the time to have them put right locally and sent the invoices to Finsley and they refunded me the amount. All through the process there was excellent and timely communication.

Therefore I can say that I am happy with my car purchase, the process and communication with Finsley and would recommend

I travelled down from Perth to pickup a car after seeing it online. I am genuinely happy with the purchase. The car is extremely clean and well looked after. No regrets and would certainly buy from here again.

Since speaking to Steve since last week iv found him very helpful and friendly and today I did a 4 hour round trip to pick my car up from him and the journey was worth while I live my new car but when I do decide to get another one again Steve will be my first point of car

I visited a few dealerships over the last few weeks and was looking for a car that was good value and was well presented.
I saw a couple available at Finsley Gate and I was treated with respect and given time. There was absolutely zero pressure to make any decisions.

I was given good background info on the cars and given plenty of time to look inside them until I decided to take one out for a test drive.
The test drive was great and I’m a happy owner of my new Ford!

All the cars are prepared to a high standard and showroom condition. They really care about getting the cars in good condition for sale.

A good, honest couple of chaps running the car lot and I feel confident if I have any issues they will be resolved.

They will be my first port of call for mine and my parter’s next cars.

Just bought a rare spec V90 Volvo which was as advertised all the spec listed was there and all working.
I bought it with 3 years warranty for a piece of mind ( hopefully don’t need to use it).
The service was quick and fast, I have been driving the car for two weeks now and running great.
I was allowed to look around the car and go through all its features at leisure without any rushing and wasn’t pressured for the sale.
