Have used & relied on Fintel for years. They provide useful 'must use' screens of information on companies in their platform. Fintel has a very defined niche, which I have yet to see replicated elsewhere, of necessary financial information covering US public companies (and foreign companies listed in the USA). I consider it one of my mainstay financial research sites.

Fintel is a must have in your arsenal for any serious investor. They provide a unique query language that you can use to match just about any investment style. They also have some leaderboards that you have to see in action to appreciate the value of quality research and not to mention the cost it’s unbelievable how much it is for the value one can get.

Fintel is a unique investment research provider who combines hard to find option and stock data (borrow rate, short interest, fails to deliver) with value-added analytics and leaderboards. The analytics and leaderboards help identify interesting long and short investment ideas for further research, and the site provides news, institutional accumulation, insider patterns and more to do deeper dives.

Tried for a few days and canceled because it was a cash grab preying on the retail crowd. The reality is the concept of daily short interest data being accurate is inherently false and is just kind of baked into the lack of transparency (and really accurate data) across the entire financial services landscape. I had high hopes for what they are marketing but was just disappointed when I saw what it was.

Incomplete and misleading data, rubbish website, very poor customer service, and when I asked for a full refund after 3 days use they kept the transaction fee.

This could be a great product if they made the website responsive and cleaned up the data issues.

And, If the customer support didn’t have such a poor and defensive attitude, it would also help.

Go with Ortex instead for now.
